  2. ~~Thread locked to further replies. The OP has stated he is no longer posting~~
  3. That's right. I don't know why I always think they have to enter before 18 too.
  4. ~~MOved to Working and Traveling, from What Visa Do I Need - as the OP's father already has a GC.~~
  5. Perfect then no chance of them aging out. CR1 would be about the same processing time but ends with a green card much faster then the K1. A little less costly too.
  6. How much below 18? If 16 or 17 go for the K1. She would need to have sole custody or the father's consent.
  7. I'm not much help as the only kids who didn't have a learning disability didn't need help with their work. Heck it would be done before they even got home from school. They would do it on the bus ride home. He needs to ask his friends for help with his work. Shower wise tell him if he can get his bed out of bed and ot disturb you then fine. If he can't do it on his own then nope not happening.
  8. Not sure where you are but for around here they require proof of SNAP, medicare or medicaid to qualify. Look into what the forms ask for.
  9. ~~Moved to the REgional Forum, from US Citizenship General Discussion - as the topic is about Indian citizenship.~~

  13. Pop on over to the Canada forum we have a few threads going on and a FAQ thread pinned at the top of that forum. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/93-canada/
  14. Sounds like a gaming issue for sure. We have the kids electronics automatically lose wifi at 10pm. No more games after 9pm but they can watch Disney or Netflix. The Tornado is my night owl, she could be up until 4am easily if she had wifi. Heck she stayed up all night before long trips just so she can sleep in the truck easier. They don't have phones so no issue there after the wifi goes out. Luckily we homeschool so bedtime can be later for her. Hopefully you can find some middle ground for Mini-B that works for everyone.
  15. Sorry about the bad fit on the first thingy. Sorry to read about Mini-B. Yes the age is part of what is going on, sleep is harder for teens and preteens. They tend to want to stay up late and sleep in as it is the way they are hard wired some more then others. D Does Mini-B have ADD? If so that also adds another layer to the not sleeping right. If not it could just be the gaming. He's not giving himself enough time to unwind after all the gaming. Don't underestimate the addiction gaming has on kids it can be really bad.
  16. Do not reschedule. It does not matter the date your interview. The important part is the day you cross the border on that visa. If it is before your 2yr anniversary it would be a CR1, 2yr anniversary it is a IR1. If you enter after your 2yr anniversary and they send you a 2 yr GC you can get it corrected.
  17. Omg they are too cute. I'm glad you were able to save them. Poor mommy kitty. We have a few cats that belong across the street that like to sit on our chicken coop. My daughter likes them to keep the rat population down. She wanted to go collect strays and put them back there too. But now we have the ones from across the street that has helped.
  18. Many times if this was long enough ago they didn't digitalize the old records they will have to dig for it. Most of the time they don't want to dig so they tell you they don't have a record. You are really needing to get then to dig for it. Next is you are not someone in the position to request your ex's death certificate. That is only for direct family, and you were no longer that when she passed.
  19. ~~Related thread merged. Please keep all related questions to one thread.~~
  20. I've seen this a few times on here where the update says expedite approved when they didn't apply for one. I think it is just someone on the other end hitting the wrong button.
  21. I can try to edit it for you if you tell me the country. Just maybe it will let me.
  22. ~~Another related thread merged.~~
  23. Montreal asks almost everyone to fill out the DS 5535. New born babies have even had it requested. Once you're in the computer they tell you the same thing. If you look at the 221g you posted it shows the visa was denied. The Computer just randomly added the DS5535 so of course they asked for it to be filled out they have too. But they also denied the it on the proper grounds. I also find it funny they asked for your stuff as you are not even in the existing petition. So probably something they just said to get your husband out of the room. Your husband should not have showed up for the interview. Bad advice from the lawyer. Was it the lawyer who emailed Montreal or yourselves? It would have been much cleaner and now that the system flagged your husband with the DS5535 he will be stuck with the next visa you try to get. You have two choices here, finish and send back the DS5535 and wait a year to deny it outright again. 2. Start your investment visa and hope and pray they don't ask for the DS5535 again and wait another year after the interview or have to spend 5-7k to file a WOM to get you out of the hole.
