  1. It's been a long time since I have had to do this and the process has changed when it comes to the PC. Have you read the FAQ pinned at the top of the forum? That might help some. Being that she had her fingerprints taken it should not be a big deal with the PC. Finger prints don't change and will still match her. That was my experience anyways. Is your wife using her married name now? If she wants the visa, then GC in married name she needs to get the passport changed. The visa will come in the name that the passport is in. A lot easier and cheaper to do it now vs. waiting to change it in the US.
  2. I just found out that cats get heart worm too. I was always told it was not an issue with cats. Well it turns out cats do cat heartworm and they don't show symptoms until they're dead 😥 No treatment for cats unlike the dogs.
  3. Not sure if it showing just the Rubella or if it means all of it. If you can call and ask. Looks like the tetanus booster and if your interview is before October you won't need the Flu shot.
  4. Yes it is messed up Exactly, first generation born abroad only. If my younger two want their kids to be Canadian they will have to have them born in Canada. It most likely will not happen.
  5. Regarding the children born in the US. Is mom born in Canada? If so the all children will be able to get proof of Canadian citizenship. If mom was not born in Canada but a Canadian born abroad. Then the children will not be Canadian.
  6. Thank you and Congratulations!
  7. Asking in here to double check so I can update the FAQ posted in the Canada forum. Is Hep A and Hep B now required? For all ages? Covid still required and must be completed correct?
  8. Many of them go by age.
  9. Thread cleaned up. PLease do not post questions in this thread keep them to a separate thread or the active CR1 thread.
  10. From the FAQ pinned at the top of the page it lists these vaccines that are required. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/734707-cr1ir1-montreal-faq/ What vaccines do I need? 1. Tetanus-Diphtheria (Td/Tdap) (Must have had done in last 10 years) 2. MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) 3. Varicella (Chicken Pox) (If had Chicken Pox before not needed) 4. Flu Shot (Nov-March only, though Dr. Cheema in Surrey notes that it is needed from October-February)* *If your medical is in March but your interview is in April, you will still be required to get a flu shot. This is a bit outdated and needs to be adjusted as now they want Hep A and B to be at least started and Covid Vaccine needs to be completed.
  11. I'd call the one where you were last enrolled in school. Since the schools would have required it too.
  12. Ok looks like you should have been given the the dead version OPV as you would have been too young for the live as that ended in '77. So no scar for you to go by. They were giving it orally for a while, my older kids got it that way. Much better then the scar I got. Were you born in Canada? Any chance you called the local health unit? I had to call them and they still had a record for me. They took a bit to find it but it was worth a shot.
  13. Do you have the scar from the vaccine? Maybe your doctor can write it down as it was given? He/she should be able to do the math for the age you would have gotten it. Did you ask for a titers test and that is when they told you they don't test for Polio? I'd have to look at the vaccine requirement but it is possible that one may not be age appropriate now.

  15. I agree with the BO, don't over share. All that is needed is I'm moving to the US and here's my visa. Anything just makes a mess.
  16. ~~MOved to WOrking and Traveling from Bringing Family of USC- as the OP's parents are wanting to travel while waiting for physical GC.~~
  17. ~~Post split off of a NON related thread and Moved to General Immigration Discussion.~~
  18. Trying the Doctor Elsey's litter posted above. It's better then the really cheap Walmart stuff I had in the closet for spills Not as dusty, clay smell is not as strong either. It's not that great for the auto cat box. Breaks up the clumps and they get all over the grate. It is cheaper then the Crystals so we will see how much time we get out of it.

  23. Once you get your certificate get your DL updated right away. Enter Canada with your EU passport or US DL. Then enter the US again with your DL. I crossed in June with just my DL as my passport still did not come in. They didn't even blink at it.
  24. ~~Duplicate thread has been removed~~
