  1. You might want to post and clarify your question/situation in another thread.... this is a rant thread about how long ROC is taking. AOS can stand for two things: Affidavit Of Support or Adjustment of Status.
  2. Want to add: We refused at first but they told us there was enough room and it was okay. There were quite a few buggies and I'm sure it is a courtesy they provide to everyone... Some airports in Asia have amazing customer service!
  3. Mmmmmh... so are we still at 75 days or 74 🤔 I'm thinking NVC has stabilized and it'll stay at 75 days over the summer.
  4. I got to ride on a buggy in an airport before. Fully able bodied... but the driver asked us if we wanted a lift as the walk to the next gate was long. Hong Kong airport usually has someone waiting at the gate to escort you to your next flight if you have a short layover. Always fun to by pass the lines... It's been YEARS since I've flown but Incheon Airport usually has a few wheelchairs at the exit of the plane. Some are already reserved but I'm fairly certain they have a few more handy in case someone realizes they need one after the flight.
  5. Do you think @Manicv's spouse would be allowed to 1.) request a police report (if they stay longer than a year) and 2.) interview in Canada... or only wait out the process in Canada then return to The Netherlands for the interview.
  6. Thanks for the correction @Kai G. Llewellyn first google result should an unofficial source which stated Dutch citizens only received a 90 day visit. When going to the canada.ca webpage it clearly states UP TO 6 MONTHS. Still not enough to wait out the process for the fiance or spousal visa but it is more.
  7. Getting a spousal or fiance visa takes more than 90 days (the amount of time your partner is allowed to stay in Canada). Additionally, as she is not a resident or citizen of Canada she will probably have issues scheduling her interview in Canada (as she has no address in Canada). Your plan is dead in the water. Unless you can figure out some sort of residency visa in Canada.
  8. You need to upload a statement explaining you do not have W2s/1099s because you work overseas. We did that and it worked for us. Can you PLEASE fill out your timeline and profile. This will help you receive accurate answers. You can do a search on VJ and find a few examples.
  9. Is it possible to fill out your profile and timeline? You'll receive better answers if people know where you're at... 221gs and AP can take a few days to a few months (sometimes a year). It depends on the reason behind the 221g AND the consulate you interviewed at....
  10. @Sammy.NZ what ended up happening? Was POE a painless experience for the husband?
  11. As my husband (the USC) currently lives overseas we uploaded quite a few statements explaining why he didn't have certain documents 😅 Thankfully we were DQ'ed after our first submission.
  12. Your stepdaughter's case was DQ'ed without the additional "evidence of income" proof, correct? I would write and sign a statement explaining your source of income. Where are the rental properties? In the US or in another country? I would include bank statements showing the monthly transfers... Maybe that will get you DQ'ed.
  13. https://news.sky.com/story/fina-votes-to-effectively-ban-transgender-swimmers-in-elite-womens-competition-and-create-open-category-12636874 The new policy requires transgender competitors to have completed their transition by the age of 12 in order to be able to compete in women's competitions.
  14. I've been watching a certain show on TLC and it appears every other couple goes through the K1 process because of an OOPS pregnancy but they barely know each other. I'm feeling a little cynical about intentions these days But, I will agree having children is strong evidence... and an IO even suggested it to a couple at their AOS interview: "Another thing that just kind of rubbed me the wrong way happened at the end of the interview. He told me the evidence we had brought with us was sufficient for the conditional greencard, but for ROC we would need to show a lot more. I half jokingly replied that we had not planned on buying another house and were hoping the cars we had purchased would last us a few years at least, so what in the world kind of "a lot more" evidence could possibly be expected? To my shock the reply was something to the effect of not to worry, if I was pregnant by the time the ROC interview came around we shouldn't have any problems. I don't even remember how I responded to that one, but I truly find it shocking that an immigration official suggested I have a baby to bolster my immigration case. Is this something that has happened to others here?"
  15. That's fairly old school thinking... People can easily have a one night stand, conceive and never meet again. For all the IO knows... the beneficiary and petitioner could have an arrangement where the beneficiary is a sperm donor in exchange for a GC. Conceiving a child only proves two people are fertile. And people having a kid because they think that would be the best type of evidence when their relationship is shaky is a horrifying idea.
  16. Happy Father's Day Mr TBone! Hope you have a great day ^^
  17. There is a big backlog. You can follow this thread: Someone in the thread just received their interview date ( August 31, 2022) and their DQ date was Feb 23, 2021. You maybe have another year of waiting.
  18. Please complete your timeline and profile. If you tell us the country you are from/where you will interview people will be able to tell you when the interview will happen.
  19. If you cannot upload the transcript you should upload complete tax return submitted AND W2s/1099s. Item Numbers 23.a. - 25. Federal Income Tax Return Information. You must provide either an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years. You are not required to have the IRS certify the transcript or photocopy unless specifically instructed to do so by a Government official; a plain transcript or photocopy is acceptable. Do not submit copies of your state income tax returns. Do not submit any tax returns that you filed with any foreign government unless you claim that you were not required to file a Federal individual income tax return with the United States Government and you wish to rely on the foreign return solely to establish the amount of your income that is not subject to tax in the United States. If you provide a photocopy of your Federal individual income tax returns, you must include a copy of each and every Form W-2 and Form 1099 that relates to your returns. Do not include copies of these forms if you provide an IRS transcript of your Federal individual income tax returns rather than a photocopy unless you filed a joint income tax return with your spouse and are qualifying using only your income. (from the instructions: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-864instr.pdf) My husband uploaded a copy of his 2021 tax returns with all schedules and a statement explaining why he does not have W2s/1099s and NVC accepted our documents.
  20. This happened to someone else I know... and the phone lines were still open at the time. The person on the phone said they would have to re-submit and they would be going to the back of the line. I'm thinking some agents might want updated financial evidence if the I-864 is re-uploaded with ink signature. . . I don't think it is consistently applied. You will have to re-upload the Evidence of Income and proof of assets again. And I would upload most recent bank statements.
  21. Read the OP. Sponsor is currently a student, does not work, does not file taxes. Money is currently in China and will be deposited into a US account by various people but is a gift from the beneficiary's parents. OP was wanting to file paperwork after the money had been in the account for less than 12 months.
  22. That sounds better... You're extremely lucky as your husband is currently in status as a student so you have more time to put together the best possible package! Good Luck!
  23. Right on schedule! We've been at 75 days for the past 3 weeks~~~ Congratulations!
