Weird question, once your immigration journey is over and you’ve got your green card, what is everybody doing with the copies of your application and paperwork?
are you keeping it like your tax returns just in case or shredding it?
also apologies in advance for those of you still waiting that might be following this topic, hopefully your cases will be completed soon

WAC filer, just got notification that "New Card Is Being Produced", also no interview required

It’s good to see movement on this from WAC - before the last couple days, the only people I’d seen who’d received the 24-month notice were people who’d originally filed a year ago or more.
For those who’ve received it - is it 24 months from the expiry date printed on conditional green card (so +6 months added to the original 18-month extension)?
Hopefully we’ll see some movement from the other service centres soon, though I expect mine (YSC) to be among the last. If anyone from YSC gets theirs, please let us know!
Yes it’s from the expiration date of the card, so plus 6 months from the original 18 month form

Has anyone gotten the revised 24 month extension letter? Just curious
I got a revised extension letter on Friday 22nd, CA filer here. Original letter with 18mth extension was received in July

Was that your first notice?

Received an updated I-797 notice today that extends my GC by 24months, CA filer here, anybody else receive an updated notice providing a longer extension?

Most likely WAC, California center.
Just got the text (which was fast) - and it's CA, boo their processing times are one of the longest 😒
-
Update:
package mailed May 17 USPS from Hawaii
received and signed for May 22
check cashed June 4th
don’t you love progress 🙂
now to wait for the text to see which processing center we get allocated to

Posted and on it's way to AZ Monday May 17

Is there a " best practice" number of months for bank account statements to send? I could send the last 2 years. But that seems like a waste of paper if it's overkill

Just remember you can file for citizenship 90 days before your 3rd. anniversary as a permanent resident.
Noted with thanks😀

Gathering my paperwork now. Started to fill out the form and hope to file by mid May. I also plan to file for Citizenship whilst waiting as we will be married 3 years this coming November 😊

Green Card is in mail, and from tracking, it is already in Honolulu..
We interviewed Tuesday 8am and it was fast and easy..
we gave them evidence as in photos, joint account bank statements, insurance card and even vehicle registered in our names..
but we both felt like it was already a slam dunk at interview time..K-2 was with us..and the fact that "wife" is 5 months pregnant was enough evidence of proof of relationship..
K-2 is in 1st grade, and she was asked simple questions..interviewer looked at wedding pictures and vacation pictures and smiled and said congratulations.
Monday our Green Cards will be in the mailbox...Tuesday..Drivers License and Social Security...
Congrats. Our interview was on Monday and it was quick and easy too.
The postal service has the card arriving tomorrow, just in time to start work at my new job here on the Big Island 🌴

I tried lodging an inquiry (Fingerprinted on 14 Feb) and it said my case was within the bounds. So I called; I explained that the website says March. The lady said that the case looks to be outside the processing times and said she put in a comment or note on the case to expedite. She said that within 14 days I’ll hear something, but definitely within 30 days. That was last night ; no update so far though!
Hope you have good news soon!

So after seeing this I lodged an inquiry via the USCIS website, within 5 hours the status of my EAD changed to “New Card is being produced”. Coincidence? I don’t know, but I would suggest anybody who is still waiting from our group of January filers to lodge an inquiry now.
The irony for me is that I won’t even need the EAD (fingers crossed) because my interview has already been scheduled for mid August.
Good luck to everyone who is waiting still waiting, and get those inquiries started.

Once you get approved your EAD and Ap case will be closed by saying the benefit was received by other means
Yep already knew that, was a tongue in cheek comment that the EAD/AP is taking so long when it in fact is supposed to assist you whilst you wait for the AOS.
