We know Divorce have no effect on our VAWA Petition, But my questions is if someone have the experience I will like to be clear too, how about our I-485 case ??? I-485 and I-360 are two different process and have their own requirements, Our AOS  will be base on an approve I-360 petition where it was grant to us base on proving an abuse existed. How will impact our AOS interview if we are not divorce yet from our abuser?? Can this raise a red flag to IO officer ?? Anyone had I-485 interview base on approved I-360 and it was still married at the moment of the interview???

For neither of them you are requested to be divorce BUT according to my lawyer for I485 is best “just in case” you are in the process or best if you are already divorce.

it is NOT required by law!

it will just suit better to the immigration officer (I am guessing) all depends who do you get in the interview.

My evil of a husband is threatening that he will go to my i485 interview marriaged based no matter. He will spew lies and talk about me. I already have prima facie and was going to the interview hoping the io will hold my case pending i 360. I’m afraid his words is going to affect my i360. My fault I didn’t pursue the case and restraining order extension! He played me that he’s changed. Glad I didn’t cancel i360 for this interview!!! I’m scared!

1st of  all stop living with him!! Run away from him.

2nd even better! That will prove 1 more time the abused.

    Best

@Roms2017i didn't have the divorce finalised before filling plus I changed my state so I had to wait for the applicable state laws before filling. I just followed up with the divorce lawyer and I got the final decree.

@FridayGirl@69 No dear I missed the number the last time. Can you please provide it again.

Thanks and really appreciate it. 😊😊

Please I have a question. Is it okay to request the service of the ombudsman for assistance even though my Congresswoman is already on it? Can I also send in the final divorce decree now or it will be considered too late?

    I 360 pending 29 months now.

Any input will be much appreciated. Have a blessed Sunday 😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏

Did you call Vawa unit? It is way too long now.

    Did you make another infopass?

It is already out of processing time!!!

    VJ members,

Today i received an update about card production for my vawa application.

    - sent application for I-360 in Feb 2018

    - prima facie Apr 2018

    - 2nd prima facie Apr 2019

    - sent in additional evidence 2 times after filing the petition. That included GMC from home country, divorce decree from previous marriage and proof of spouses immigration status. Thanks to education I received from VJ! Otherwise I would have received RFE.

    - Did 2 separate therapy sessions (6+6)and sent in both reports. One report just mentioned the dates of therapy. Other one was a one page report that summarized the abuse.

    - Card production 25 Jul 2019. No rfe.

    -  Need to wait for priority date to become current to apply for adjustment of status as spouse is a GC holder

That being said i cant wait to see the physical approval to confirm that this step is complete for me.

Thank you all VJ members especially @sandra @FridayGirl@69 @Stillwinning!!!😊 and all other active members of the group who kindly invest their time to cheer up the rest of us and give their valuable advises.

Please ask me any questions about my application. I owe this forum a lot and would like to give back all i can.

    Congratulations! Again and again 🥳🇺🇸💫

Sorry I slept off! So yeah...USCIS wants record for the past 3yrs..prior to filing the petition...they didn't say past 14yrs..so it might not count against you..but then the good part is you have documents showing you've been long pardoned and all...just incase anything comes up! These are my logical thoughts you'll have to ask @sandranj the attorney of repute here! She's a blessing and knows her stuff! Truly one of kind!💕💕💕💕💕💕 I sincerely wish you all the best! Also do not dwell on negativity, what doesn't work for someone else might work for you...don't let anything hold you down or back..reach for the stars!!! 🌟😊👍

They asked me for all my addresses since 1984 😬 I went crazy trying my best to remember, including addresses 🤷🏻‍♀️
