  1. Dude 1st visit and marriage, that's a huge step. Online and offline persona of people are different. I suggest you guys meet and spend quality time and then maybe marry then.

Arranged marriage is cultural. And here you are meeting her online and now getting married at 1st visit.

Does she make enough money for AOS? If not does she has a co-sponsor to file AOS?

Do you have your family member in the US? If so how did they get to the US?

you said met online.. How did you meet online? Is there an age difference?  The journey itself is costly and emotionally draining. Be prepared mentally and emotionally

Speaking from experience...they ticket the vehicle.  They don't know who was driving.  If you pay the $100 right away it doesn't even show up as a ticket.  I get my son's since I co-own the car with him.  I've also had half a dozen myself!  No worries.  Just pay it and it goes away.

i remember the scene from Big Bang theory where Sheldon drives penny to hospital for her arms and runs light and they send the ticket with picture of sheldon driving it. I know it is tv series but all night long i was thinking they will send me ticket with picture of me

And i was worried how shitty i must look coz its late night and i was in my PJ and with my long goldie lock hair i must look crazy.. And they would go "YES HE LOOKS CRAZY WE SHOULD GIVE HIM TICKET.  🔨

Now i can breathe and focus at work

They will start deportation process against you................................jk. I think a simple traffic infraction is one of the few offences that should have any impact on your immigration. However if you don't pay the ticket in time I think there could be consequences.

either your sense of humor is way above my intellect or you misssed few words whiile you type. In any case, i got the message

you guys are awesome as always

If ticketed you would receive it in the mail most likely. Probably no way to check.

A simple traffic ticket shouldn't have any affect on you or your eventual naturalization.

My husband has received two tickets in a few months time awhile back and he was able to get them "dropped" by completing a defensive drivers course.

When/If you get the ticket you can pay it or even go to the court and try to see if you can get some grace about it being a first offense.

i know i was not wrong but i dont want to do tango with Law. I dont mind paying it and be done with it (if i get the ticket). Question is If i do does it sounds i am guilty?

  5. Last night after i dropped my wife at the airport and was driving back home, I may or may not have received a ticket.

    What happened

I know there was a photo light traffic. As I was approaching it, it was green but when I approached it turned yellow and i couldn't slam the break coz that would have caused more issues. next, to me, there was another car and we both went through the light. right behind me was another car which also went through.  I was like less than 4 yards before completing the cross, I see this big flash. Now I don't know whether it is for me, for the car on the parallel lane or for the car behind me.

    Question:

    • Let's say if they send me the ticket. I will pay it right away but do you think it will show as negative for my naturalization (2 more years before I apply for thou)
    • Is there a way to find out if I was issued a ticket from last night? Like can i call anyone in DMV or is there an online site where i can check.

    Any Advise my VJ Folks

  6. the only way is to apply and find. :bonk:

she has a student visa and arrived  1 month ago in CA and now applying tourist visa for the US with boyfriend in the US, Hypothetical if I was a CO I would be skeptical while issuing the visa. Again I am not a CO and It's my personal thoughts.

In my limited experience there does seem to be a point of diminishing return.  Too much information can raise as many red flags as they are trying to prevent.  Chats are just printed pages of words.  There is no way to verify that any of those conversations actually happened.

my fav. comedian kathleen Madigan does this bit of joke about "how her lawyer father says too many people are in jail because they just can't shut up". She is hilarious

coming back to the topic, agreed with you. If you have too much information that may raise some flags :)

  8. uffff rolling bag full of evidence .. gosh :)

    Try to understand:

    1. Chat transcript doesn't mean anything. That means you talk. All you need is show continuous communication. I would suggest 5 - 10 pages of chat to the max for the whole time.

    2. No one will bother to read that long transcript

Too Much of anything is not good. Have a combination of multiple types of evidence showing your relationship

I filled a I-130 in Dec 2017,  and i129F (K3)  in  March 2018 after immigration attorney advised so. The application is now being sent to NVC for processing. After looking at the timeline posted on this site, I see a big difference between K1 and CR1 process time at NVC and embassy, K1 2-3 month total, while CR1 is 5-6 months.  Does anyone know how does NVC process K3? is K3 treated more like CR1 or K1 process time wise?

    Thank you in advance

time to fire your attorney who is working to milk money out.

Rest you got many good advise. Listen to what @pushbrk says. he is way too reputable here and he is always with right suggestion.

  10. If i were you, I would go back to that Attorney and ask him/her to show the proof about the claim they made about RFE. If they can't show a proof (official proof), then you can ask them more question and grill their lying #######. No matter what I would fire their #######.

there are numerous times, those immigration lawyers have no clue about what they are talking as it's their business but we here at VJ it's our life. We were a victim of lawyers stupid claim and we almost ruined our second interview. I just took a stand against what lawyer told my wife (USC) because I read so much in VJ and I knew those lying lawyers were wrong. That stand I took, was the one which saved a lot of time for us and we didn't screw up our second interview.

  11. I was anxious as hell after reading all the reviews of POE. I kid you not, it took 27 hrs to reach JFK from Delhi via Dubai and all this time, I was miserable. My wife was holding my hands and was trying to ease the entire flight.

My wife (USC) was in the same line as I was. She was behind me and when my turn came, we both walked in together.

IO said, the sealed envelope, please. I gave that and my passport. He looked in my face, did few things and I guess a fingerprint (not sure). And opened the file, took the paper and dumped it in a tray. Stamped my passport and said "NEXXXXXTTTTTT"

After that, I let my shoulder loose and had a big smile in 5 days.   And then I was so bummed, I had read reviews that IO saying "welcome to America". IO didn't say anything just said "NEXXXXXXXXXXXT" so I made a point to get our picture taken at JFK where they have a big sign inside the airport itself which says  "welcome to NEWYORK"

Your ESTA denial should not affect your CR1 entry. Again it depends upon the mood of IO.

Remember to relax and ease. Happy holidays,
