2. TBH, I didn’t pay any attention to that. There were people alone, with kids, with lawyers and interpreters... I was minding my own business as a whole 😂😂. 
 
3. We were in an out in an hour.
 
4. We got a number and numbers get called in a screen/by a microphone. We didn’t got call and the officer came directly to us (as if he knew who we were already) asked for my passport and called my husband first. That was terrifying hahahaha. I laugh now because the interview was as fine as it could be. 

I was never in the US for more than 5 days on a road... for 4 years I just came to do transit from the DR to Europe. I’ve never had problems with that other than having to travel with two passports because where the B-1/2 is its expired and they (stupid Dominican government) literally staple a new one to the old one because of the valid visa. 
 
If I’m completely honest, when he said “you travel a lot” he sounded somehow pleased about it. 

Congrats!  I do have a few questions if you don't mind answering:
 
1)  Was this at the John F. Kennedy building at Government Center?  I am not sure if all interviews are held there which is why I am asking
 
2)  You indicate you were called in separately (him, then you).  What about the couples that were called before you (if any)?  Were they called in together?  Or were they called in separately?
 
3)  It doesn't seem like you were interviewed for too long.  How long was the interview?  Did they ask for documents such as birth certificate and translation, marriage certificate, utility bills, bank statements, etc.?
 
4)  You said your husband got picked in a very intimidating way.  Sorry if this has already been asked but can you define intimidating?
 
 
 

I have an AOS interview in two weeks and my husband was just laid off.

I came on a F-1 and also have a B-1/B-2 on my passport. He just asked me about why decided to study in Boston and not London again. It felt like the F-1 interview all over again. Because of the tourist visa, he made emphasis on the questions about overstaying a visa or working while on a visa.
 
The questions were mainly about dates and the proposal. My husband and I answered the same. My husband told me he was given the option to stay or not while I was questioned and he decided to stay... the officer really liked that.

Me and my husband had our interview today, Boston office. This is our experience:
 
1. Everybody was super helpful and nice while we waited to be called. Do not arrive more than 30 mins before your assigned time, you can only check in 30 mins prior.
 
2. They had the office at 80 degrees!!! I don’t know why the hell they do this but we were melting there (30 degrees outside)
 
3. We got called separately, I was expecting this because we are an interracial couple and observing the other couples, everybody seemed to be from the same country. I have also travel A LOT! Lived in London and Dubai at some point of my life, I always get double questions for it.
 
4. My husband (the petitioner) got picked first in a very intimidating way. That’s when I felt like it was 100 degrees inside 😂😂😂.
 
5. I got called second. First comment: “YOU TRAVEL A LOT” hahha. Then proceed to ask me about first date, personal details, husband’s parents names... when did we get married... if my husband dances... random stuff. Then summarised all the Yes No questions. 
 
6. The interview finished with him joking about how his coworker goes to the place we went to on our first date. Then asked for the financial info.  He APPROVED our case there.
 
7. My husband jumped of happiness and gave me a kiss in front of him😂😂😂😂.
 
Overall it was fine, I actually got a bit emotional remembering when we first met cause we haven’t separated since then.
 
no lawyers, no interpreters (I understand not everybody can do this) but for a process we worked ourself I’m quite pleased.
 
5 months later and I can finally plan our honeymoon!!!!!❤️
 
 
 
 

I am so sorry to hear this! I think in the paperwork that if you have assets as well, this counts too. I don't know if you guys have any savings or such. I know I saw some posts about people not working. Also maybe if someone could sponsor you? Plus he has 2 months of his previous pay checks to show immigration.

We have our AOS interview in 2 weeks at the Boston Office so this is great information!
 
I am so glad they told you on the spot because I have been reading some offices don't tell you right on the spot!
 
 

I don't think they know yet....your husband could technically get a job that fast, and idea, he could be Uber so when they ask him/you about his job....you can say got laid off but immediately got into Uber while I get a new job...
 
*Uber is consider a job here....it happened like this to us when we first started the petition, he just got started on Uber until he found a job....also is very convenient as he wouldn have to ask for time off for you upcoming interview ( being a new employee)

I would start looking for a sponsor. Not sure if you can take an updated affidavit of support with you but might be a good idea just in case.

My USCIS notifier went off 5 min ago... I'm ready to be scheduled for interview, hopefully doesn't take a long time to get that done, very thankful to God

My case status changed for my Employment Authorization from "fingerprint review was completed" on September 11th to "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" on September 12th and I don't understand 🤔 Is it a phrasing change ? What is the purpose ? It doesn't really make a big difference, does it ? I'm even more confused haha

The first three letters in your receipt number is where your application is being processed at.
These are the the service centers:
 – EAC – Vermont Service Center;

Im finally working and im happy, you will hear from them soon  ,they never update my case until the day of new card being produce ,not eveybody get step by step update they never update me even the fingerprint.

Boston office is moving ..... We also have the interview schedule for 7th of January 2020.
 
OMG it is 2020!!!! almost two years after receiving a marriage proposal ... I receive these news. It has been a long journey.

Yes, when people get a RFIE, all the process of EAD/AP is on hold.

Well unfortunately my interview was scheduled for Georgia. Not only that but they have no record of my request to change my address, even though I have a screenshot of the confirmation with a reference number from November 8th.
 
I could cry 🙁

My wife just received her EAD/Advance Parole card in the mail today.  On 9 DEC we received the notice that it was in production.  On 5 DEC is when it was approved.  

Received the Green Card in the mail yesterday!!  Glad to finally take a break from this paperwork for a little while!

Since my RFE has been sitting idle for about 2 months, I called USCIS and the representative that I had on the phone did a very thorough job of researching what she could do for me. She put in a case inquiry request and told me that I should get an answer in 7 to 10 days.
Now I'm wondering if the work permit is put on hold when you get an RFE for the AOS or if it is independent. In which case I hope that I will get some movements on that one soon, because it has been sitting on "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" for 3 months now.

I just got today the EAD/AP combo card. Everything is well.
And we need to begin preparing the interview, documents and my doctor examination.
I also begin applying for jobs ...

Sept 13 here (fingerprint appt) 🙄

Faxed off my job offer letter yesterday for my EAD, the job wants me to start on 23rd December and the way immigration are processing stuff these days I really don’t see me being able to start, considering I made the request with USCIS just after thanksgiving. So over this whole process.
