  1. Check out this link, from the embassy website.  It's for fiancee visa interview.  I think if I remember from when my wife and I went through it, Costa Rica considers a K-1 an immigrant visa.

    https://cr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/the-interview/

After you have completed the steps on the Immigrant Visa Process on usvisas.state.gov, including paying the necessary fees and submitting the required immigrant visa application form (DS-260), Affidavit of Support, and supporting documents to the National Visa Center (NVC), they will review your file for completeness. Once your case becomes qualified for an interview, NVC will work with us to schedule an interview appointment for you.

  2. Hi all,

My son's fiancee is getting ready for her k-1 interview and working through the checklist that the embassy sent her.  It's been a long time since my wife and I went through this process, so I don't remember the form numbers.  but they mention both the DS-160 and DS-260 forms on the checklist in two different areas.  I don't know if it's a typo or what.

    • ( ) Each applicant must complete (in English) the on line Form DS‐160, Nonimmigrant Visa Application, in the following website: http://evisaforms/state.gov.

When you have completed the form, print the Confirmation Sheet twice, this contains barcodes on the top right and button left side.

    •  To perform the medical examinations, each applicant needs to bring the DS 260 confirmation form and 7 2x2‐inch photographs.

They will contact the embassy but any help would be appreciated in the mean time.

  3. Oh my god, this Other Way cast is messed up than any other we've seen.

The chubby blonde chick from NYC wants to live in Manhattan but can't cut it in NY on her yoga class income, so she thinks that by moving to the Dominican Republic she'll be able to live her first world life there, but cheaper.  Typical broke diva who wants more than she can afford and now expects him to pay for it.  But in the end, she'll be paying for everything.  Literally on her first day there, her wakeup call is starting that living there is not the same as vacation.  The whole relationship is based on his desire for a green card to the US, and her big lie that she applied for his spousal visa when she did not, and has no intention of them going to the US.  Her boyfriend opened a butcher shop in a typical 3rd world manner (meat on the hot counter with flies all over it, no bookkeeping, no systems in place.  He is so proud of himself, and she starts nagging in a typical fashion about the lack of refrigeration, flies, not knowing revenues vs expenses.  The train is coming fast on this one.

The hippie flower girl who is 38 and is working food delivery tells you all that you need to know.  She went on a trip to Egypt, met a guy, talked online, and went back in a couple of months and married him and moved there.  She hated everything about it.  And they fought over all their differences (Muslim customs- clothing, contact with other men, etc) so she left him and came back to the US.  And in typical fashion these days, she blocked him on social media.  Very mature response.  But then she decided that she loved him and is going back to move there even though she knows that she will hate it there and they will constantly fight.  Another train has left the station and is picking up speed down the track.

There's Jen, the 46 year old, multiple time divorcee with manly facial features going to India to marry a guy that hasn't even told his family about her.  No red flags there.  He's some kind of model, trainer, or something.  Has long hair and looks like a typical diva.  She seems desperate and is willing to accept anything.  Her friends are telling her valid reasons why it will fail like

her other marriages, but she doesn't listen.  She won't follow him on social media because she "trusts" him but the reality is that she doesn't want to see anything and is just having blinders on.  One of her friends proposes a test where she will message him pretending to be a woman from England.  She did and he didn't reject her messages or tell her that he's involved.  But she just shrugs it off like no big deal.  Like I said, very desperate.  This train is racing the train with the NYC woman for which will crash first.

A 40-something mother of 2 (both adults) who was married before is now going to Colombia to marry and live with a Venezuelan woman.    I think these 2 are most normal, which isn't saying much with this group.

There's a transgender that used to be a woman but now is a man who is going to Colombia to live with a woman with 2 kids.  She knows that he's trans and is ok with it but her conservative catholic parents don't know.  This will be most interesting to watch in my opinion.  The trans guy seems cool, other than doing gay pride parades in his underwear on the streets in his hometown BY HIMSELF.

There's still a 70 year old that looks 90 going to be with a mid 20-something in Morocco.  They didn't show much about them, but I see the train lights on this one too.

Trailer for 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way dropped and... it looks amazing.

What did you find amazing about them?  Just another crop of misguided, naive, gullible, stupid, immature people who are completely mismatched with their significant other.  But fun to watch and laugh at.

  5. Single life tell all

Caesar says that it didn't work out with the girl he chose in his Mr Peanut tuxedo, but he met 2 Ukrainian women online and they fell madly in love with him, and want to come to the US (they have tourist visas already) and live with him together and have babies.  He hasn't lost his sense of humor.  Then Natalie loses it.  Starts some unhinged rant about Caesar disrespecting her country.  That woman has real psych problems, and not even joking.

That old hag Debbie is annoying as hell.  No wonder her own kid is fed up with her.  She is judging everybody and has an opinion about everything.

  6. Old lady Jenny wants her 30-something husband to be retired like she is.  I know India is cheap but I don't think her meager social security will support them.

So selfish, she needs him to hold her hand 24 hours a day.

Also, how can a 100 year old lady not be able to cook literally anything?  Or clean?  Or make a bed?  Or go shopping by herself?

Then Angela's biggest problem in life is Michael's Instagram.  She equates it to lying, deception, cheating, and betrayal.  And she is demanding him to shut it down but she won't shut her down and won't listen to reason.  I hope he stays strong and doesn't let her get her way.

@SoCal2021 - Thanks much for the feedback, well appreciated. You are right, not sure if my CAP will wanna do a write up, but will try anyways and see how it goes.

He works for you. He messed up, he's supposed to be the professional.  You should be expected to tell HIM what forms to use.  The least he can do is write a note.  If he's not willing, he wouldn't be my CPA next year.

  8. Also, Veronica seems like a pretty fun woman, and is very good looking.  Her "relationship" with Tim, though, will interfere with any real relationship because no guy wants for his girlfriend to give her ex a key to her house.  But based on the conversation they had about setting limits, Tim is ok with it (I think it's affecting HIS girlfriend too), but Veronica seemed surprised and disappointed that Tim agreed and proposed that they "act as exes".  I think she still has feelings for him.

Just watched this week's ep of Single Life and o_O Natalie is out of her mind. Josh has a real job that requires him to, you know, work so he can put her up at the Mondrian for a few nights -- so what if he got up after they did the deed and went to work? Also the bit about "I am not Russian, I am Ukrainian" in response to Josh's friend making a reference to Russian dolls (matryoshkas) was absurd.

Caesar.... wow, that was an uncomfortable evening. But good on him for leaning into his nail tech background.

Yep.  Natalie is bonkers.  Why Josh is still there is a mystery, did he just want to sleep with her so he put up with her?  She is beautiful physically, but I now understand why she is has been divorced so many times and is single.  She is an emotional roller coaster.  She is over the top needy, and a guy would need to drop everything to make her happy.  And if a guy doesn't commit to her on the first date, she goes nuts.  She said "He broke m y heart", but they only had 2 dates.

Caesar is just socially awkward.  And his career choice doesn't say manly, which most woman are looking for.

I can't watch any segment with Debbie, I have to fast forward.  Similar Jenny in India.

Why are Tiffany, Natalie, and Tania not getting a divorce, and are technically separated, but acting as single?

    Lightly beating’ wife permissible

In 2016, the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) advocated allowing a husband to ‘lightly' beat his wife if he feels it is necessary, as well as requiring women to breastfeed their children for two years.

In the same year, the constitutional council ruled that the Punjab Assembly and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government's women's protection bills, which criminalised all types of violence against women, were "un-Islamic."

Be careful, you may labeled as a Islamophobe, even though everything you said is completely factual.

  11. Surprising that so many people are advising him to sue his wife under I-864.

When a US citizen posts that their foreigner spouse is trying to sue them for support under 864, most of us don't think it's fair.  So not sure why people are advising suing under that.  He shouldn't get anything, he knew that his wife didn't want him to come but the gold card is too much to resist.

One way flights to Warsaw, Poland are under $500 per person from most places, not sure where you are located.  And most are under 15 hours.  Premium Economy just about doubles the price and more.

To add:  This for a flight TOMORROW.  Short term tickets aren't as pricey as you think anymore.  In fact, you can get great last minute deals because of high gas prices airline prefer to give seats away dirt cheap rather than fly with empty seats.

  13. Am I the only one watching this train wreck still?

I saw the Happily Ever After.  Delusional Kim is going back to Nigeria to visit rapper Sojaboy.  She is planning to propose to him.  This woman may the most delusional ever on this show.

On the Chantel and Pedro front, Chantel took all the money out of their joint account once Pedro moved out.  $265k... whaaa?  How?  Literally leaving him with any money to eat.  But naive Pedro should have known "to protect himself" as they kept saying to Chantel, by withdrawing his half because she closed it.  This is obviously crazy Karen's idea.  Pedro is again a full out scammer according the the family because no way is their angel Chantel responsible for the broken relationship.

Nothing like a woman scorned.  The funniest part was Chantel crying to the camera  "But he promised that he would never leave me."... like a child.  This family is all nuts.
