I would like to thanks LORD for His Holiness, and omens during this toughest test of my life. May God Bless all with great success in their good works, Let Humanity win everywhere.. Amen !
Got email that GC arrived at my attorny office.
Thanks VisaJourney all members and Sandra for making it happen. 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉
some members here are ANGELs ....they respond quickly and I request them to keep it up.. You changes life of others... and deserve big applause...Love You all.
I remember when I was in Dark, Sandra gave me ray of hope , but later on due to some challenges in my case and her busy schedule, she was unable to take it.
But I did not loose hope , researched a lot about human rights and hold my nerves till the end ... and we are here today with Success. (bold text is bold Thanks
)
I would recommend to search NIWAP all documentation, because this has the information which TOP attorney dont know , and you can download books and updates about VAWA.
Where attorneys failed, this website info helped me to take the decision.
http://niwaplibrary.wcl.american.edu/
You can learn how to tackle and defend your spouse's legal abuse in divorce, when divorce attorney ask about your VAWA documents. All Dynamics are explained on this website.
also If you get conviction and other complication about the Good moral character can be handled by guidance.
For extreme cases you can drop me a text.

Guys, what to write and what not to.. It was one of that shaking day where pain of 5 years was felt repeatedly many times. Today morning the thriller call from attorny office and then USCIS website down for hours, Now I checked.. and found below message on my I-485 Case no.
"On August 28, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EACxxxxxxxxxx and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. "
What does it mean.. I am thinking positive with tears (of thanks to Almighty Lord Jesus) in my eyes😪.
I will give my timeline later once I have something tangible in hand.

@HopeHope__ I honestly feel like firing my attorney. He hasn’t done a thing to help me since I retained him a month ago. I gave him my affidavit to review two weeks ago and not a feedback upto now. Last he told me was it’s my story, that he can’t tell me to modify my story. I honestly feel like I’m doing this on my own after putting myself in debt to pay him.
Hi, my attorney helped me to elaborate my affidaviet , pls refer below points, as I was not such a good expressor of my thoughts
1. elaborate you feelings of good time and bad time, to the truest level, dont hide or shy to express what you felt.
2. If you followed any tradition, include that rituals and their significance in marriage.
3. More descriptive It would be, it would answer many hidden questions, for the officer, who will read it.

First of all a recap of how your interview went! How did it go? Did they demand anything? That pretty much might give us an idea what it could be! But of course you'll be the one to tell us when it gets to you...we can only speculate for now...let's hope for the best!
Interview was fine, same I-485 questions and I gave the interviewer my DoB copy, and job details.

friends, I am feeling very scared, as after my AoS interview 2 weeks back, I got knowledge from my attorney that USCIS officer (who interviewed me) called them and sent them some notice which is on the way in postal service.
What It can be ? Any idea ?

Hey I'm trying to get it right if you don't mind..have you ever been arrested and convicted? Usually they just ask questions on your i485 form..but if they have reason to question other dark areas in your petition they do so! It's important to go there with confidence as these officers are trained to not only listen to you but also to your body language! Usually you have a calm disposition when you have nothing to hide and unease is often associated with plenty to hide! So please calm down...
thanks , Yes I have been convicted by my ex ( as my in-laws witnessed against me and USCIS agreed with that and they approved I-360) , I am relaxed but I want to know on this Forum's case updates, that what happens when someone gets there for interview in this case.
What are the possible outcome or any worst case ?

Hi Guys,
my interview is next week and I am little scared and confused.
Is there anybody who can refer me or help me Which kind of questions can be asked about arrest and conviction in I-485 interview .
Or
I-485 Interviewer can challenge VAWA officer's prior approval ?
Or
can I-485 Interviewer put my case on hold and put in another loop for me to wait ?
I discussed with my attorney and she saying " anything can happen" however my VAWA was approved ( which includes all evidence regarding arrest and petty offense conviction). USCIS knows everything about my detail and same I have mentioned in my I-360 and I-485.

Also I think 2015 is a long time now...
Thanks, I will do that. But Should I do vaccination shots again ? or only vaccination record is enough for next doctor visit.
-
I need to know that for my new Medical exam for my interview (I360+I465), Do I have to take vaccination shots again or not 😬? , as I took my shots in 2015 when I was living with my spouse and applied for I-130+I465.
if vaccination not required now ( as already got it in 2015), then I will arrange vaccination record only. 🙄
if vaccination required, I will not care running for vaccination record. 😕

Praise the Lord🙇♂️!!! & lot of love for all members💝.
AoS Interview date is in August-2019, 3rd week.
1. Can anybody help me when I can get Green card after AoS interview, as I want to book tickets for my home countries?
2. also does my previous Vaccine record ( which I applied with my spouse, in 2015) is Valid or not ?
Interview notes says " I-693 is not submitted or expired"

Hi there I was gonna complain about same thing..since my VAWA was approved in March 28th! But just received update about a case transfer..this is to let you know yours is coming too! Maybe they're attending to our case now! Hold still dear!🙏😊
I was approved on march 9th.. yours on march 28th... Whats going on 😋 ?

Hi Sandra,
My VAWA was approved on March-9th -2019 (After RFE) and I filed in April-2017. since last 2+ months, I have not heard any update or movement of I485. my I485 showing name was updated in Jan-2019.
I have attorney on my case and I pushed her for the e-request and one month passed there is no update on the e-request. My attorney did do a good job during RFE response, and I took driver's seat to finish my RFE response on time, then handed over the RFE response to attorney.
Now,
- Can I raise the second e-request by myself ?
- Can I book infopass appointment by myself and go without my attorney as my attorney is busy , not willing to pursue the case aggressively (may be she is focusing on new client for better money) ?
- How much time it takes to adjudicate I-485 after VAWA approval if case is already out of normal processing time ?
- Can by any other mean I can check what is going on ?

Not sure how it works but I had seeing in others timelines that takes around 2 years from start to finish with Interview plus 30 days to get GC in the mail.
I am May 2017 filler I was approved on October 2018 with EAD c31 and I765 c09 approval on February 2019 and Courtesy Letter on March 2019 so I am waiting for my I485 Interview, Chicago Office.
If you have an accurate info about how long between Courtesy Letter and Interview please pass the information, Thank you and Good Luck too!
I think we need @sandraj help to clarify how local USCIS center consider our case , as if the current priority date ( on https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/) is same as that of our filing date of I-360 & I-485 ?
😵

Congrats, I am a March 2017 filler. I got approved on August 09, 2018 and received medical courtesy letter on Sept. I have been waiting ever since. I am in NY which is one of the states with the longest wait time for I485 processing.
Goyo Thanks for the update and replying.
Yes my nearest USCIS center is also showing 18 months for I485 with priority date of May-2017.
🤔🤔🤔
I do not know which date they consider for the AoS interview, The date of VAWA filing that was april-2017 (And my case I-485 is still in Vermont center ) ?
or 18 more months from VAWA approval date that is March 2019. I do not know how it works, Anybody senior please clarify 😲?

Hi
I have a quick question!
Today my VAWA case is updated to “new card being produced.”
I am really excited my case is going forward but the thing is I am still waiting for my EAD renewal under C9 and I did not keep copy of i-360 i filed so I dont remember whether there was a box for request of EAD under c31 nor I have checked the box or not.
Does this update mean that they are going to give me new EAD under approval of VAWA? Or just means that the case is approved?
For those who has been approved,
What was your VAWA approval updates notice phrase when it was approved?
Is there a difference in the notice between EAD production and approval only?
Thank you!!!
I got the same one . EAD was deliverd, 10 days ago to my attorney s office and then to me.
No update since then ..

My interview was on 2/27/2019 and the next day 2/28/2019 when I woke up I checked it and it said it had been approved. I got my approval letter but since then my status has not changed. Im really anxious its been 15 years since I saw my mom. The USCIS website still says it was transferred to a new jurisdiction but the DHS one says approved. Praying and trying to keep it together, not much longer for my journey to be over.
Hi Romero,
is the address of the dhs website is https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
I got EAD via C31 , last week but no status update on uscis or Dhs website 🤔? Any guidance for me ?

tbh i would advised you to give yourself like at least a year the timeline is not always correct it depends on the work on their hands so all you have to do right now is to just be hoping that you will be alerted soon and just concentrate on your work and get better job to do sooner or longer they will schedule you for interview just prepare yourself for the interview cause it might also be fast just like kleenex own so try and just relax and find something doing that will get you occupied and make yourself happy at least your vawa has been approved and thats the most important thing...can you tell me the documents you submitted to get you vawa approved..
Mine VAWA was really tough.. I submitted everything , all good documents to prove my good marriage, and the RFE was about abuse and the Good character. I gave 15+ good character letters + detailed police reports/ Court documents of messy divorce that lasted for year. So over all around 2500+ pages for application+RFE.

can you tell us the documents you submitted for your vawa and did you do it all by yourself or you used a lawyer,,,what are the documents you submitted for your i360 ..i tap into your blessings..stay blessed always
HI Blunt, Thanks for the info. and congratulations.
I have exactly same timeline ( I applied I-485+360+765 on May 2017) , however I got RFE And I got approval of VAWA on march-2019.
Do we get any preference on priority date in our local office. My nearest center is Dallas and it is showing 19-23 months on I-485, with priority date of April-17. Will My case will be counted or I have to wait... Actually how it works ?😳😢

CONGRATS!!
Its so nice to hear of approvals!
Now that you are approved you have to wait for your case to get sent to your local office and for them to set an interview. You can check how long your local office takes for that online. You may also get some updates as the case moves- the final one should say at local office waiting interview. Some local offices take a few months to interview, some are backlogged around a year. Hopefully yours isnt such a long wait!
Some times people get a reminder notice before the interview stating they need a new medical. If you get that notice then get the medical done. But do not rush to get the medical done now because it can be a long wait until interview and you dont want it expiring again. If you know your medical is expired and you get an interview appt (usually gives several weeks notice) but no notice of medical then get the medical when you know the interview is set..
Thanks for the update🎉.
Can You please how much time it would take to get GC interview notice🙏.
I applied VAWA in April 2017 and my service center is showing as given below status for I-485. I do not know, whether my VAWA application date date would be considered or my VAWA approval date. ( I got EAD via C31 , VAWA approval notice still awaited 😵) ?
My service center would consider which dates🤔?
8.5 Months to 20 Months II Employment-based adjustment applications II August 04, 2017
18.5 Months to 26 Months II Family-based adjustment applications II February 07, 2017

Hey Experts,
I need some help regarding my citizenship application after VAWA green card which I got in 2018. I was having class C misdemeanor conviction in my record of county court. Will this conviction can hinder my citizenship. Any update on this.
VAWA officer approved my Green card application and did not cared much as it was mere class C misdemeanor conviction.
Can I impact my citizenship ?
Any help ?
