I doubt BJ will be able to see now as they’ve have their visa. You will have to look when you’re ready to book. Hopefully money won’t be an issue for when he moves there and can’t work for 3-5months approx

Money is not an issue for the bills here and our financial obligations here! We did not budget for the medical being as costly as it was as I indicated so the extra comment about money being an issue when he arrives was irrelevant and a bit offensive. Obviously I have to submit documentation as income verification just as you do in order for him to get here. I come here to get information not to be judged thank you!

  2. This has to be the most nerve wrecking process I have ever seen. How do they rationalize this....People get NOA2 and sent to NVC at the end of September are already on the way to the embassy and we ours was received by NVC mid September and still sitting there decorating someone's desk. Seriously can we get some things moving. I was expecting movement at a much faster rate at this stage,  but it's feeling like we are starting all over again and driving me nuts.

    Hi!

I asked NVC for the processing time from NVC to US Emabassy in Japan and I got reply from them and now I am so confused!

Do I need to fill out DS 261???? Can I just igonore this???

    Here is reply from NVC

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The NVC can't give an overall processing time because we don't know how long it will take someone to complete and send required documents. For current processing times, please visit our website at nvc.state.gov/submit (English) or nvc.state.gov/enviar/espanol (Spanish). We will send more information after completing our review.

To continue processing your immigrant visa case, you will need to designate an agent. Please complete Form DS-261 (Online Choice of Address and Agent). We will send instructions for paying the immigrant visa application fee after processing your DS-261. We will send all future correspondence to the agent you selected.

If the principal applicant is under the age of sixteen, the principal applicant's parent or guardian may sign the form.

Please complete and submit Form DS-261 at http://ceac.state.gov.

For more information regarding the immigrant visa application fee, or for answers to frequently asked questions, visit http://nvc.state.gov for English orhttp://nvc.state.gov/espanol for Spanish.

For your case to continue, you need to pay one or more processing fees. Please go to http://ceac.state.gov and log in with your case number and your invoice ID number. Here are your numbers:

Has anyone answered this because I did saw this as well but don't see a response to the question anywhere

If your "love" is interviewing in the UK then he or you need to change your profile to reflect the London Embassy and not the Nigerian. When I look at your profile to answer a question, and because each Embassy is different, I want to answer you correctly. So if you could change your Embassy in your profile that would help us to help you.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Maybe you can ask the folks over in the sub-forum for the UK as they will have a better idea about scheduling and any other questions you guys will have.

There are experts over in the sub -forum for your country located here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/ where others from your country are processing or they are there after they have finished with everything and can guide you on their experience. A TON of information and help there.

Not sure I follow because when I look at my profile it says country Nigeria Consulate UK....where do you want me to change it?

  5. After reading some other posts I want to clarify what I am reading.... so I should expect an email from the NVC when they send our file to the embassy and that will be the last correspondence I receive about it correct? Do they notify me when they receive it at the NVC as well or do I need to keep calling them to check the status?

Also does anyone know the wait time for an interview in the U.K.? My love is Nigerian, but lives in London.

OMG everyone, my birthday wish came through!!! I'm literally sitting at a bar with my fiance (it's 3 am here in the Philippines) crying my eyes out!!!

I first received a text from USCIS saying there was an update on my case. Checked the new site -- nothing. Checked the old site and I gasped when this came up!

Yay!! Let’s have a party!! Me toooooo

  7. OK I'm officially joining and remaining in the March crew. LOL. I hate this old site new site ####### seriously. I was for sure I was February based on NOA1 date on hardcopy and old website, but the stupid new site insists on giving me a date of March 1st so to calm my anxiety I am setting my brain to expect my approval in September and relax a few more weeks.

On another note...I'm worried about my taxes guys...I am self employed and I wrote off EVERYTHING I could possibly write off, but I'm not sure I meet the qualifications because it looks like I earned negative income last year. I'm wondering if they take that literally or see that I made well over the minimum but had several deductions claimed. Should I get a second person to sponsor just in case? I'm a little confused by it. Or do I submit new pay stubs with my documents showing my current income?
