does anyone have any idea how long it takes NVC to receive your paperwork? I received an approval notice for the K-1 visa on 8/9/18 and called the NVC yesterday and no trace of my paperwork and it seems I can’t ask any further questions till 6 weeks have passed.

    hi

when your case shown online ready then you can say they received your case and readyy for process from your beneficiary. its depend on country to country.normally it takes two weeks its roughly idea coz its depend how much NVC is busy like pending appointments.

Thank you for your reply. I'm kinda lost here... so you mean that the application that got returned back to me came back from the California center not Texas center (that's where I sent it originally)? and what do you think those generated (printed) numbers at the end of each page mean? does it mean they were scanned?

Thanks again for your responses :)

    HI

YOU SHOULD SEND YOUR APPLICATION AT THAT ADDRESS WHICH IS MENTION ON THE GREEN LETTER WHICH YOU RECEIVE FROM USCIS AND YOU SHOULD PREPARE YOUR APPLICATION AS IT IS YOU DID IN FIRST TIME.YOU NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THERE SYSTEM AT LEAST THEY INVITE YOU TO APPLY AGAIN.OTHERWISE THEY ARE REFUSING NOWADAYS STRAIGHTWAY.

BEST OF LUCK I HOPE MY ADVICE WILL HELP.

    Salutations all,

First off, I am an American citizen, born and raised.  However, I am engaged to a woman from Albania and am wondering what would be the easiest and quickest way for her to get here.  She currently has a Tourist Visa, which she just received in July.  We're looking to get married as soon as possible, but want to make sure she can come into the country to stay and want to know the best route to do it.  I know that there's a fiance visa, but I've heard it takes around 9 months for its issuance.  I've heard marriage visas take longer!  Is it possible that her tourist visa could get her here?  Is that legal?  I'm not trying to do anything against the law here; I just really want to do the most expedited process available.  Can she use her tourist visa to get here and marry?  What are the laws around that?  I appreciate any helpful information that anyone might have!

    Hi

Using tourist visa is illegal for marriage and k1 nowadays taking 7 months and CR1 10 to 12 months choice is yours after k1 approval your fiancee have to wait for another 7 months for employment authorisation on the other hands CR1 after few weeks your fiancee allow to work or might 2 months maximum.

Hi Guys, im a new member here and hope you could help us.

So this is what happened, my fiance filed K1 visa last week of June, and the requirements he forwarded to Texas does not include LETTER OF INTENT TO MARRY. We’re worried that we get denied because of that. But it’s been almost 2 months now and still we didnt recieve any RFE. Is this a good sign? Please answer. Thank you.

And also if they will request for the letter of intent, does it needs to be original? Bcause im here in Philippines and he’s in US, can scanned signature will do? Thank you.

I don't think so its a big mistake but yeah like other users as suggested now rules are changing and getting harder and harder its depend on officer they send RFE or not .As I know after September they will start implement this rule on applications.

    Hi everyone!

I am so confused.  If you are making $80,000 annually,  would that be enough to sponsor your fiancée?

If that is enough, can you just skip completing the assets portion?

    Thanks in advance!

If you are making 80k its good enough but you can add your assets as well like car, lease docs and etc whatever you have it gives a positive impact on your case.

Thanks for the replies so far.  We are deciding which route to go.  Would it be unwise to file another k1 soon with the evidence of the second trip that the co didn't look at, with plans to meet again in January either in Pakistan or elsewhere with some of his family? Or get married, probably in Seychelles with some family present? In either case I would also plan to attend the next interview, and he will tell his parents about my child so that isn't an issue.  We're looking at a minimum of another year in this process and I can't make trips across the world more than maybe twice a year. I don't want to be foolish and file again too soon, but I also don't want to wait years. I'm still worried by the use of the word fraud because that could be an impossible battle.

I suggest you should go with CR1 this is best option for you now rather wasting time to apply again k1.but before decide anything wait for embassy reply.

    Hello all,

My fiance is arriving tomorrow (YAY!) and we are aiming on doing the civil marriage procedure ASAP (online application to license -> marriage license -> at least 24 hours -> civil marriage ceremony at City Clerk's Office).

It is stated that we must have at least 2 witnesses during the ceremony.

Our question is: how many witnesses can we have in there?

I have been inviting many of close and special friends, yet I am not sure what is physically allowed and can't find this information anywhere.

If anyone knows the answer to this, please let me know!

PS If you have been through the civil marriage ceremony at City Clerk's office, please feel free to share helpful tips we might need/may not have considered!

    Thanks!

    At least 2 witnesses required.

I would want to file whichever gets her to USA faster regardless of the fees (unless we're talking about a huge difference!); She will not need to work right away after her arrival nor would she be traveling yet so adjustment times, etc. would not be of too much concern.

I filed a K-1 many years ago and she was approved within about 7 months with no hassle or delays whatsoever...

if you are looking for fast visa and see ur fiancee here in usa asap.i would suggest go with k1 it takes 6 months.if you filed everthing correctly.im a k1 visa holder.

  9. Hi friend it's ajay I hope you remember. In Rochester. First of all no need to worry anything serious. second this khakee envelope is not packet 4. Third this packet comes with passport and visa and the additional documents and her medical report which she submitted. So no need to panic and I don't think so us consulate will help you with this so better option is that peacefully sought out the documents and fix it properly. when I came here at the port of entry immigration officer didn't know aboutthat packet he asked me is this for me? So no need to panic deal with it peacefully. Best of luck

  10. Hi

You no need to worry about blocked your ID.it's temporary for max 2 days and you asked about how many times you can reschedule answer is yes you can do for 4 times and fifth attempt is final and yes you can book appointment in Delhi for biometric  (OFC ) but I suggest you should book your appointment in Mumbai a day or two before your interview so they can get your biometric data right way. Other easy way to book appointment is wheneveryou see slots is available call us visa help desk which is in Delhi and Hyderabad they will book for you slots can open anytime coz some applicant cancel there appointment when times near and you ask about reschedule appointment if you see dates available according to your choice just book it previous appointment will automatically cancelled in the system and everytime you will receive email for appointment confirmation.

  11. Ok the best option is that you should go to uscis website and type I 134 instructions then pdf form will open with the full detail that will explain you how to fill each and every question and you can get help from YouTube as well. Anyways I reply you before with full instructions might be you didn't get that reply.

  12. Good to know you are beneficiary first of all this form is for petitioner not for you second this form is originally signed by petitioner. At the of interview embassy will require this original signed form not photocopy. even your petitioner already submitted before embassy don't care coz circumstances can change anytime during file process so that's why embassy will required updated I 134 original signed by petitioner and what didn't you understand kindly let me know please.
