    Hi,

I did go through the form and instructions as you said. The only thing I could figure out was it is said submit photocopies.

If you were referring to anything else kindly

    advise.

I would still ask my question again should the bank letter have a signature like the employer letter?

If it's possible that would be great signature call itself attested. Best of luck

Thanks, although I know can you please clarify once again what will be the original documents that I receive from the petitioner apart from the i134 form??

Also,For i134 the bank letter to be given by the petitioner should that be signed and sealed by the bank manager of the petitioner as my fiance can generate that letter online on his bank website and it has no sign or seal plus it is in black and white. Will that work?

    Thanks so much.

Another question - For i134 the bank letter to be given by the petitioner should that be signed and sealed by the bank manager of the petitioner as my fiance can generate that letter online on his bank website and it has no sign or seal plus it is in black and white. Will that work?

What kind of sealed bank letter you talking about I don't know. Only medical report suppose to be in sealed packet nothing else before visa. you need affidavit i134 signed by petitioner and his or her tax documents like 1090 or 1095 and W2, pay stubs, job letter with details about duration, duties, designation etc . As I know no bank statements required and I didn't carried during my interview.

Hi @Sanjana dogra  @Heather & Shahbaz  @ajay007  In Mumbai at the time of the interview does the beneficiary have to submit any original documents other than Passport? If yes, do they return it to you with the visa package?

you have to carry original affidavit of support with originally signed by petitioner and passport, birth certificate, pcc, medical.if you got approved they will send you back with visa packet.

    Hey there,

Through this process this website and the people here have been of tremendous help. We thought that we will upload our interview experience here. Hopefully it will help calm some of you before your interview.
    A little background:

We got married in March 2015. My wife, the non-USC has since taken a couple of trips outside the USA. One for a vacation and one for our Indian wedding ceremony and honeymoon (December 2016). January 2017 was her last re-entry into the states.
We applied for AOS in November of 2017 and got our interview scheduled for October 9, 2018 (no RFE in the process except a letter asking us to bring the medical form at the interview).

So no, to move on to the interview:

We got at the Albany NY field office 15 minutes early for a our appointement and the lady officer asked us to accompany her inside right on time. She was professional but seemed nice (not over the top nice or over the top professional, if you know what I mean). First, she took us to her office and made us take the oath that we will tell the truth.

Asked us to sit down and asked us whether we have any updates on the lease (we had recently changed our address and updated it on the website). We gave her a copy of the new lease. She then quickly looked at it and asked if there are any updates we would like to give. So we took out all the updates to the stuff we sent with the application. You know, couple of new credit cards we both got and have each other on, updates bank statements, updated prints of retirement accounts, etc. She breifly looked through the docs and made some copies.

We asked her if she would like to see our wedding album and she said she has more than enough evidence.

She then quickly went through our I-130 and I-485 (the only question she directly asked me was what day I, the USC was born on). she noted the address change on the forms.

She also went through all the yes or no questions with my wife. The ones that ask you if you're a communist or whether you'd conspire against the government, etc. Asked my wife if January 2017 entry was the last time she entered the country. She then said she doesnt need the new I-94 since my wife hasnt left the country since then.

She then told my wife that she thinks she has all she needs and that we can expect the 10 year green card in 3 weeks (we've been married over 3 years).

Thats it! We thanked her for her time and thanked her for how painless the interview was. She said that we made it easy with all the information we had sent with the application and the organization of the application itself. This was good to hear as we had spent a lot of time and paid very close attention to our application packet!

And that was it! The status online was changed to card under production on the same day. Yesterday, we got the tacking number for the card and it should be here tomorrow! So from the interview date to delivery it should (hopefully) be 8 days.

Honestly the best thing is to try to relax. We were both pretty anxious before the interview but in the end we didn't really have anything to worry about.

Let us know if you guys have any questions!

First of all Congratulations and that's awesome my friend its really helpful and detailed experience for everyone. who are waiting for here interview

    Hello,

People who have already done their medical in India  - did the Panel Physician give you a DS-3025 form after the medical was completed?

When you complete your medical they will give you a sealed packed and as well as one copy of medical with downloaded CD. It call 3025 which you will need in future in US.

    Hi AOS filers,

Hoping to get some sharing from those who have done/know about this topic. We submitted my AOS back in Jul 2018, seems like the normal processing time to get an EAD now is 4-6 months. I know AOS takes a long time, but was only hoping it would take 3 months to get an EAD like it used to. I don't have an offer letter yet, but at the same time, it's hard to apply for jobs since first thing most companies would ask you is if you have an EAD before even talk to you. Does anyone know about expedite process for EAD for AOS filers? Do we need an offer letter to be able to put in that request or we can send along a document explaning why we would need the EAD to be expedited? Thanks for sharing.

    Hello,

I have  2 questions regarding fees payment :

    1. Can the fees be paid by credit card? I had read on the ustraveldocs site it could , but cannot find the option.

    2. After you pay the fees via NEFT or any other method - you have to enter the receipt number.  What is the receipt number and where do you get it from ??

    Hi

If you paid via NEFT. Then you can find system required TIER number which everyone get different number when they file DS160 so enter that number which you got it during filing DS160.

Yes you can do your biometric and medical in Delhi from valid medical centre from US embassy. keep in mind always keep enough days gap between appointments.

  10. 2 hours ago, A_R said:

So medical cannot be done without the letter?? Se people have said you can do medical before your case is received at Embassy in Mumbai - is that right??

No its not possible but you can call medical centre they will tell you same thing. First thing they will ask for interview letter and during medical they will attach a copy of your appointment letter.

    Hello everyone.

I received from the Social Security Administration a letter (see photo attached) saying they denied my request for a social security number based on the fact that "my legal Immigration documents will expire before an SSN card can be issue to you".

The problem I requested it over 2 months ago, way before my I-94 expired and in all this time I called several times the office receiving the same answer every time: "your request is being processed and we are checking everything".

In fact, my I-94 expired on 09/23 and they sent the letter on 09/24. Seems like they did it on purpose and never really worked on my case.

I arrived here on a k1 visa, when I went to the office I brought with me copies of the passport and the visa, I did everything they asked.

I already sent the aos, and after asking them, I didn't apply for a new ssn with the I-765 form (easy authorization) as they told me I had already requested one and could not find myself in the situation with 2 ssn.

Without it I can't apply for a driving license/Id, I can't open or join my husband bank account and many other things.

Any suggestions? What should I do?

    Thank you.

    hi

so sad to hear that.its happens often with k1 applicant but you no need to worry wait for EAD and you can open a bank account easily.you can join your spouse in every documents.

    hi

i think its fine cos they gave 221g so you can drop all required documents in there drop location as i remember its right next to biometric centre in mumbai .you should submit documents like your chat history from any apps you using ,call logs,if your family involved then there phone numbers with relation, friends who will gonna attend your marriage, place if you booked in advance, wedding shoping like dress, jewellery same things from your fiance's side according to indian traditional they will preprared wedding stuff for you and for him with detail and bills(receipt),etc.as much as you can gather and write a detailed cover letter with well organised docs and there detail.

I have a question my fiance is from Morocco when I applied for his k1 I summited everything photos and I130 and everything will they ask for this again does anyone know this is how my lawyer said to summit my packet

if you submit k1. As well as i know you required to file only I129F nothing else.I 130 is for K3 after marriage.Might be your lawyer lost your documents that's why he is asking for it. Otherwise uscis they don't require your whole file again. My suggestion is for k1 it does'nt require lawyer. To Hire a lawyer may risk your application

Hi do you have any idea how much I have to wait until i can apply after weeding

    hi

i read all suggestions here everyone have there own experiences.i suggest if you going to apply for AOS then you should wait for your marriage certificate .AOS is a long process you should't take risk with RFE which may cost(time)high after long wait in some cases they don't send RFE so i thought you should consider marriage certificate  insted of licence for AOS process.Maybe some cases they accept marriage licence but nowadays its risky to play or take chance with your AOS.you may see here some people got RFE after 6 months wait time which is really horrible.

I am in the same boat, got to California on August 25th, got married at LAX Courthouse by the airport on September 7th. They said it takes 4-6 weeks to get the MC. All we were given is one that says certificate and license of marriage but has "Customer Copy" written across it on the background, i have heard people use this and some got RFE and some were fine. We will be calling them(USCIS) tomorrow to find out what they think. We want to do this thing once and get done with it. If we have to wait we will wait... RFE is not a good feeling. In the meantime we will be busy filling all other forms and gathering documents and doing joint bank accounts, lease and all to present a very good AOS submission, who knows they might wave our AOS interview lol

yes thats a good idea to avoid any RFE.you have to get marriage certificate not licence for filling AOS.
