If your husband hasn't seen the dog for 7 years, how does he know it will trust him? Or how does he know anything about the dog at all if he hasn't seen his ex for all these years? Hmmmm.....

this has nothing to do with the government.. it has to do with the employees in the cafeteria taking it upon themselves to enforce something they had no right to enforce..
if you read the article.. if the kids don't have enough money on their card they are supposed to be given a basic lunch and the parents are billed later.. this didn't happen. the kids were forced to dump the food on their trays into the trash ...

i wish it was a set fee. but the kids have extra choices and giving him a certain amount of money that is to last a certain amount of time teaches budgeting for food, in a sense. he knows he'll get a meal no matter what, which like you said, is very important. kids shouldn't ever have to dump perfectly good food, i just can't wrap my brain around that..

because kids can get extras, maybe that they are not supposed to be purchasing but they do anyway - because what's stopping them. my son can easily rack up an extra dollar or more getting a second milk, a bag of chips - he's even bought food for friends. if my son thought there were 45 days worth of lunches on his account, he'd go crazy.

You were curious if men had rights? Or if men had women's rights? Or are you confused that women's rights even exist? And that men's rights are just called, you know, rights?
You seem to be having trouble articulating what it is you want.
I gave you a great example of certain men not understanding very simple things like pregnancy, rape and abortion, yet they want to write laws about it.

There's no denying that people should do whatever they can to NOT become a victim. I'm not arguing that fact at all. People need to be aware of their surroundings and act responsibly.
Getting drunk at a party, however, is not an invitation to be raped.
You know what most boys/men would do when they see a female passed out on the couch (like the girl in Ohio)?
    Nothing.
They certainly don't drag her around, rape her, and videotape her. Should she have been at that party? No. Does being there mean what happened to her was acceptable, or to be expected, and therefore deserves less sympathy? No.
Rapists are rapists. There really aren't certain levels of rape that take into account what you were doing at the time of the rape.
It just amazes me the different reactions rapists get. These rapists do something disgusting and people are calling for their heads. Two all American boys do something disgusting and people actually feel sorry for THEM and blame the GIRL for making it easy for them to rape her. Amazing.

That's not similar to the Ohio rape case at all, but it's clear to me that your definition of rape, your sympathy for the victim, and your opinion of rapists depends on what the woman was doing at the time.
Even though at the end of the day, both women still end up violated and raped.
You live in a weird world where it seems you expect men to take advantage of women in a situation like that. You have a "well, who can blame them?" attitude about it that's pretty sickening.

Is there any doubt Lincoln's Mullet would get the lion's share of downvotes in P&R? The RWNJ's have a mancrush on him unlike anything I've ever seen before. It will be a mauling.
As for removing the +1... I concur. Maybe give people the ability to take it back for as long as the commenter has the ability to edit?

To be honest, I'm a little bit curious as to why my comments have hit such a nerve. No, of course the question about what country you met in never comes up as a condition of approval. But there are very real reasons, some of which I have mentioned, why meeting in a home country makes the story better and more solid. Gary, you met 6 times, including where Alla lived. That's an entirely different story from someone who met once while vacationing in Mexico. That's not meant as a jab at the OP, but rather a point that he needs to understand that further evidence is probably a good idea.
We all understand that there are basic minimum requirements that have to be met in addition to a bunch of squishy requirements. You're correct that exactly what those squishy requirements are is a matter of speculation, rumor, and imagination. If there was something more concrete then they would cease to be squishy requirements. The OP came with the intention of trying to understand those requirements. I believe that as visits go the OPs visit is on the weaker side for establishing proof of a relationship. Obviously it wouldn't instantly become better just because they met in one of the home countries, but it would give it more potential. I can't really understand why you would disagree that if he had the opportunity to visit her at home and meet her family and friends that would show stronger evidence of an ongoing relationship. That doesn't mean he has to do it. He just needs to consider that evidence of an ongoing relationship will probably be required at some level and that he should be actively trying to generate and save said proof.

If you enter the U.S. on an immigrant visa (i.e. someone filed a I-130 petition for you while you were abroad, and it was approved, and you went to a consulate and was interviewed etc. and got an immigrant visa), then you become a permanent resident on entering the U.S., and they will mail you the physical card. This is the OP's situation.
