    No problem.
You can call USCIS to submit a service request, or fill out the form here: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do
You can also reach out to your local congressperson to submit one on your behalf. Typically it is best to contact your state's senior federal Senator (since they tend to have been there the longest and have processes in place for this type of stuff).

Usually between 5 and 10 days for you to receive it. July 4th may slow things down. Take it into consideration
    Congrats on the approval

Hi everyone! We had our AOS interview on June 26. The officer was probably new to this job because there was a supervisor present. He just went over the form with me and my daughter (14 y.o.), she got fewer ''terrorist" questions though. My son (11 y.o.) was just asked his name and address. My husband got only one questions that he had absolutely no clue about - my parents' names He is terrible with names! The officer didn't even look at supporting evidence, he only took the kids' copies of vaccination reports, and my new form I-693 that says that I can't complete vaccinations due to pregnancy. He was not sure if the kids' ones were complete (in spite of them being marked as "Complete"), so he said he would double check and make a decision later. On July 3 I got an email that the case is still being reviewed and there are no updates - and several hours later there were 3 approval notices in the mail!!! Yay!!!
Today the status changed from "My interview was scheduled" to "My card was picked up by USCIS",  nothing about being approved.
So, the electronic notifications seem to be not very reliable...

I asked a friend that used a lawyer and he told me that lawyers only get copies of receipts, approval letters, courtesy notices etc but any actual document such as EAD, Combo card come to your address directly. Celebrate this week-end soon no more slacking lool

Cards (Green and Combo) are sent via USPS Priority Mail, so it's a slightly bigger envelope, and it shows in the packages section on Informed Delivery. You should get track information for that one via MyUscis... though we all know that doesn't always work for everyone.
Hopefully that third envelope is a nice surprise, like an appointment for your GC interview. Who knows with USCIS

Hi everyone! and to my fellow Dallas filers in this thread.  We got approved on the spot today. God is great!  Do not be afraid if your marriage is really true they will see it right away. I have bunch of additional evidence but the officer said he doesn't need to look at them.  We just answered the yes or no on the i-485 and was asked about each other's birthday.  The officer said we are approved and should just wait for the mail in the next 14 days. Just an advice though. dress in business suit,  we got complimented by doing so. Wishing everyone a successful journey!

I suggest you call USCIS and make a service request to enquire about out of processing time for his EAD or better still, book an infopass appointment online for the same Service Center you guys had your interview and speak with an immigration officer about this. And if these options don’t yeild any dividends, contact your local senator or congressman

I have been following this forum for a long time and had my husband's AOS interview in Miami (Kendall, FL) today. I so appreciate everyone sharing their stories and I wanted to take a moment to recount our experience in case it helps anyone out there to have more of an idea what they can expect in this process.

My Canadian husband entered the US as a tourist in August 2017. We married on 2/2/18. We consulted with an immigration lawyer who really underwhelmed us; we felt strongly that it was not worth the money to hire a lawyer and decided to do everything on our own.

We filed the I-130 & I-485 concurrently (along with I-864, I-765, I-131) with a filing date of 2/16/18. Biometrics were done in late March 2018. We expected his EAD/Advance Parole docs first, and anticipated the average wait time of 1+ year to complete the whole adjustment of status process, yet we were pleasantly shocked when on 5/23/18 we received the notice to appear for our interview on 6/28/18 - just 4 months after filing!

Here is how today’s interview went:

Our appointment was for 8:00 a.m. We arrived at 7:30 a.m. and checked in at a desk where they took my husband’s picture and retained his interview notice sheet. Within 15 minutes, they called his name and returned his interview notice sheet with an alphanumeric code written on it. At around 8:35 a.m. his name was called again and we were escorted to a room by the officer who would conduct our interview. It was an empty office with a desk and computer with two chairs in front, where we sat and faced the officer.

For the first few minutes, the officer went through our paperwork and did a lot of filing and hole-punching. He requested original copies of the following: the interview notice, marriage certificate, our passports, our birth certificates, and my husband’s divorce decree from his prior marriage. We also handed over my husband’s I-693 which was completed a few weeks ago.  At no point did he request to see any additional evidence of our ‘bona fide marriage’ (I came prepared with a binder full of photographs, travel documents, cards from friends, proof of commingled expenses, etc.).

Then, he asked the following questions of us separately:

To me, the US Citizen wife:
What is your name? Date of birth? Is this your signature? (Pointing to I-130) This is your first marriage? (Yes)
    To my Canadian husband:
What is your name? Date of birth? City of birth? Is this your signature? (Pointing to I-485) You married in February of this year? (Yes) This is your 2nd marriage? (Yes) Your ex wife’s name is (Name)? (Yes) Do you have kids? (Not yet) You last entered the US in August? (Yes) You have not left the country since, right? (Yes) Do you still work at (Company listed as last workplace on I-485)? (No) What do you do now? (Consulting) Were you ever involved in terrorist activity? Military training? Communist? Political organizations? (No!) You were detained once? (Yes) What happened? (Told story; police report was included in application)
As you can see, most questions were Yes/No questions. It was all much easier than we expected.

Lastly, he asked “How did you meet?” and said he didn’t mind which of us answered the question. We told a short version of the story of how we met. At about 8:50 a.m.  the interview concluded and the officer told us right then & there that my husband’s permanent resident card would arrive in 7-10 days. We walked out with big smiles!

Best of luck to everyone else on this journey. I hope our story is helpful.

Got our letter for Interview  in May of 2018. The interview went great. Short and sweet. Verified information submitted with AOS.and asked about how we met, proposal, wedding. Gave papers showing joint accounts, insurance card Ryan's job letter and some wedding pics. Arrived about 45 mins early and they brought us back within 20 mins.

    Hello Guys,

So I had my interview yesterday at the USCIS office in Baltimore MD, the appointment was scheduled at 8:30 am. We live about an hour away from Baltimore so just to be safe, because you never know with traffic, we left early and arrived at 7:30 AM. We went to Mcdonalds to eat and kill time and went in and checked in around 8:15 AM.
You have to go thru security like in the airport, but no need to take off your shoes.
The waiting room was pretty full, they do all type of interviews, oath ceremonies etc. After an hour waiting we were called around 9:30AM by a gentleman, he walked us to his office and introduced himself.
He checked our IDs and my fingerprint to verify our identities; then sworn us in. He asked if we had any other documents we wanted to add to the application, so I gave him the list below:
W2 for my husband for 2017 My husband last 2 paystubs our joint 2017 tax return my offer letter and first paycheck since I started working 3 weeks ago Joint apartment lease Car insurance with both our names Renters insurance with both our names Proof that I am on his health and dental Insurance plan copy of my military ID last 2 statements of our joint checking and savings account Copy of our joint Cell Phone plan about 20 pictures from the photo album we brought with various pictures with family, our wedding, honeymoon etc My medical exam After that, he told us the conversation will be recorded and kept our IDs until the end.

Shoutout to @Chicken7585 that gave the great idea of using a Polyexpanding file with post-it tabs, it takes a lot of paper and keeps them all organized, it was easy for me and the IO. Thank you for sharing it in your interview feedback.

He first started talking with my husband and went over the petition (I adjusted from B2), he verified all the info on it, asked for my full name, DOB, my parents' name, if he knew where I worked and lived before living together, how we met, why he chose to be with me and get married to me, if he met my parents, who attended our wedding etc.
It wasn't like an interrogation, he was politely asking questions and verifying along the way, so we felt comfortable and not stressed.
He told us he was satisfied with our relationship and would recommend the petition for approval.

Then, it was my turn and we went over the AOS package, he asked for my husband's full name, DOB,  his parent's name, if I have met his parents and went over all the information written on it and also the Yes/No questions at the end that he tried to condense a bit. I also told him that I was changing to my married name, he made a note on the application and saw that I changed my name on my Drivers license.

After this part, we went over pictures, he even smiled while looking at a few ones, so we were happy about that.

The interview was over at this point and he asked if we had any questions, I told him I would like for my green card to have my married name. He assured me it will be the case.
Finally, he gave us like a receipt that says we completed the interview and the case was being held for review. He reassured us that it was nothing bad but just their procedure. I read on the Baltimore thread that it is just how they are at this particular office, they never tell you if you are approved on the spot and always give you that paper.
He told us to look out for the mail, for either the approval letter or if they require additional document they will be in touch. The whole interview took about 45 min.
We left happy and relieved this was done and went for brunch lol.
I hope we get the green card soon and we can close that chapter for a few years, praying for EADs and interviews for all that are still waiting. And THANK YOU so so much for the valuable information shared, and words of support and encouragement. I will still be around to help to the best of my knowledge.

Would you be getting a conditional GC or a 10 year one?
If you've been married more than two years at time of application (or interview?) you should get a permanent GC for 10 years. Those of us who have been married less than that have to file for removal of conditions in 1 year and 9 months from the GC issue date.

It's been 161 days since pd, I did not expedite! I am very happy this morning, I feel like I can breathe again as I have been so depressed lately. This process is draining me mentally, the wait is brutal but thankful I'm now one step closer. Now I'm going to buckle down into some serious job hunting while I wait for the card in the mail. Hello.

Sorry for the delay on your EAD, I will suggest booking an Infopass appointment and try pleading you case about your EAD at your local office. You can just Google Infopass appt and your will see how to do it.
Also to be able to talk to a tier 2, it is best to call USCIS at 8 AM eastern as soon as they open, they are less busy st they time and you have more chances to receive a call back within an hour or 2.
    Good luck

    Hello Guys,

Actually GioRod, it will pause and delay a bit his EAD, but it is not as bad as you think @Rae Bulin
Since the EAD eligibility is from your AOS, they are linked, and all adjudications are stopped. An IO told me over the phone and it is state on their website.
When you search on the USCIS website about RFE/RFIE, I couldnt find the link again sorry, it tells you that in theory it resets the clock on all your applications but the reality is different; we all know with USCIS the theory is so different than the reality. I went thru that scare but dont worry it is not as bad.
I am a January filer, I got a RFiE and received my EAD in about 4.5 months, but I received the RFIE earlier in the process, you can see my timeline for details.
The key is to respond to it very fast, and give them everything or more (if they are requesting affidavit or tax stuff for example) that they ask, to be sure they accept your response. Responding within a week of receiving the letter is ideal, if whatever they ask for is easy to get, but within a few weeks is still okay. The earlier they receive it, the earlier the EAD will be approved.
I have seen multiple times here on VJ, similar to you when they received a RFE later in the process and in those cases the EAD is approved shortly after they acknowledge receiving your response.
I hope you get the letter fast and it is an easy fix

    Have a good weekend
