Hey. So my Fiance is sent me the papers on the mail and they will likely arrive on Monday. However, she also sent me the notices of action and I just realized the confirmation page says that I need to bring a "comprovativo de I 129 F aprovado" to CASV appointment. Which is also Monday. is the comprovativo the same as the NOA2? or can I present for example, the document from the NVC saying that the approved i 129F was sent to the embassy?

I have a picture she had send me of the NOA2. is there any suggestion?

Sim. The comprovativo is the NoA2. But take the NVC letter also. But can I ask you where it says to bring the comprovativo but I just dont remember where it asks that, but I know it does.

I know I took the NOA2 and the NVC letter. Im actually paranoid so I took basically every document that I had lol.

What status does it show here: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Is it issued or still in AP?

Hey there, it was issued at the time. But I received on the 19th if im not mistaken saying it was ready for me to pick up. I picked it up on on the 23rd.

We’re still in administrative processing due to his medical report being delayed but my fiancé said only one of the others in his group with interviews the same day as ours has not received the visa. The rest are already in the USA.

I'm still here if it makes you feel any better lol. But I will be arriving in the US on monday. Does your fiance have green/light eyes and curly hair? If so, I saw him there at the interview but I was interviewed before him.

  3. Hey guys, sorry in advance if I'm posting in the wrong place but I couldn't find anywhere more appropriate.

So in 2016 I got a Massachusetts driver's license while I was in the US on a J-1 visa. The license is valid until 2021. Now I'm close to going back to the US on a K-1.

So my fiancee and I want to make sure I can still use that driver's license normally?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  4. So I had my interview on November 6th and chose to have my passport delivered at the belo horizonte CASV. I called there on Friday and today and my packet is still not there.

So for anyone else who had their passport delivered in belo, how long did it take?

And has anyone that had their passport delivered to them that had their interview on the same date as me?

  5. Hello all,

I'm pretty clueless about SSN process and all so excuse my ignorance in this question. But here is the deal: I have a social security number that i obtained in 2016 while I was in the US on a J-1 visa with a ''VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION'' printed on it. Now i'm about to travel to the US on a K-1 visa. So I would like know if I will keep this SSN as after the adjustment of status and have the conditions removed or will an entirely new number be generated?

Thanks in advance for any help.

  6. Hello all, seems like everyone had disappeared after they got approved.

But for those who haven't. I have a copy of my birth certificate that was emited on April is this year. I know some places here in Brazil require a new updated birth certificate every 3 months.

So my question is, can I use this birth certificate that was emited in Abril 2018 or must I get a newer one to present at the interview?

It will not have an affect on your process. You could send an email to the Embassy prior to your interview with the correct information or update your record at the interview.

Thank you for your response! I'll update at the interview then.

I created a post on this but didn't get a single reply so let me ask you here if you don't mind, AND anyone else if welcomed to chime in. So you're familiar with how our attorney messed up on out petition (like just now with this biographic info). But she also messed up in the i-134. Like she put white out on some parts and filled in my financees income incorrectly. So we're pretty much fed up with them at this point.

So my question is, can we fill out the i-134 ourselves and ditch the one she filled out along with her form g-28? Bc my fiancee and I are more then capable of doing this ourselves. She just did it for us bc we had already paid for it as part of the contract we signed in the beginning of the petition.

  8. Hey guys, I was going over the petition that our attorney filled out and she made the same mistake as @Lorna&Alex . She filled out the biographic information (page 9 part 4) with my information (beneficiary) instead of my fiancees (petitioner). I just stumbled upon this by chance while reading up on some stuff. Our difference on that is our weight, height and eye color. Idk if USCIS missed this or just dismissed the mistake since it probably happens very often based on all the post ive seen on here about this question. We have are interview scheduled for November 6th and my fiancee will be joining me.

My question is, does anyone know if this can affect us during the interview or further down the process?

    Thanks,

As I said, I had to fix something on my ds160 and I just sent an email to the consulate explaining what I did wrong and within 2 days they opened the form up, I fixed it and it was all set.

I've never heard of a form being re-opened and editable after submission. Did they simply just inform you that you could log onto the ceac website and edit it?

And when you went on what happened? Did you retrieve it or something like that?

  11. 5 hours ago, Greenbaum said:

Just as you said complete a new DS-160 or advise the CO at the interview of the mistake. Either way bring the confirmation page that most like reflects your answers. No new interview needs to be scheduled.

Hey Greenbaum, thanks for your reply.

I called CASV (the place that handles the biometrics and stuff here) twice today and asked if I could update the DS-160 number in case I had to fill in another one and both ladies told me that for me to do that, that I would have to cancel my appointment and reschedule. And since my interview is on the 6th and there are no more appointments available and since my fiance already booked her ticket here. That wont be an option lol

So I asked them if I could simply just just fill out a new ds-160 and take it with me and inform them I made a mistake and present the correct one. They both told me that I can BUT that it's not guaranteed. But they both sounded like they were not from Brazil so maybe they aren't sure about that option? Bc I have heard of people doing that like you mentioned and like ive read around the internet.

You have to contact the consulate for them to open up your ds160 so you can make changes. It happened to me and that’s what I had to do

I'm on a Brazilian K1 Visa group on Facebook where many people who have made mistakes on their DS were told to just fill out a new DS and bring both to the interview, and explain to them what happened. They haven't had any trouble for doing that :)

@gkzrl, can you share with me the link to that Facebook group?

After you submitted it and scheduled the interview you can't change it anymore. I guess any corrections you'll have to ask the consulate.

Are you sure about this or are you assuming that to be the case?

I'm just asking bc when looking around the internet I have seen people say that when you make a mistake that you should fill out a new ds-160 and take both copies to you to the interview.

  14. Hello all,

For those of you who use the ais website to schedule the interview (https://ais.usvisa-info.com). Could anyone inform me how I correct a mistake on the DS-160 that I've already submitted?

I know I'll have to fill it out again and take the new confirmation page with me to the interview. What I'd like to know is if I have to update something on the AIS website? And how do I do so without needing to schedule a new interview.

    Thanks in advance.

  15. Quick question on the I-134.

The instructions say to '''Answer all questions fully and accurately.  If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed.  If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed.''

So on question 22.a (Page 4), where it asks if I have previously submitted an affidavit of support for the following person we were going to write n/a like we had done for the rest of the questions that didnt apply to us. BUT starting on question 22.a it says to write none.

So I wanted to know if you guys just wrote ''None'' as instructed or just put ''N/A''.

Thanks in advance for any help.
