  1. Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Texas Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number SRC**********"". With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your case. This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your case must be verified with USCIS.

    Yay they checked the mail.

  2. We had our interview yesterday at noon in Oklahoma City. Despite arriving early we had to wait an hour for our Co to call us back.

The interview itself was really straightforward she only asked us how to tell her about how we met. And then she went over the yes or no questions in the packet. and then she said congratulations you're approved and gave us the little sheet of paper that tells you about how to apply for a 10 year.

  3. So I am a but confused. Was happy to come home and see a letter from USCIS in the box we have been expecting the bio-metrics appointment letter any day.

Anyways we open it up and the date for our appointment Wednesday October 2nd.  Here is where I am confused. The USCIS website for my field office https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/oklahoma-oklahoma-city-field-office

says they are closed on Wednesday.

Do they still do bio-metrics on this day or is the government playing a cruel joke on us?

  4. Her interview is in less than 24 hours. And I think I am more nervous than she is. We have crossed the T and dotted the I multiples times but I am just a worried that something will go wrong. I'm sure lots of you have felt this way with yours. So question for you vets.

What did you feel in the hours leading up to the interview?

  5. An update for anyone that finds this post through a google search.

When you first enter your details when creating an account on ustraveldocs they give you a page you can print out. That is the "online registration confirmation page" It has a UID code on it.

We didn't print this page out for whatever reason. I just called the consulate in China and asked them how to recover this page and they told me that because we have already scheduled our appointment online. That the appointment confirmation letter acts as the same thing as the "online registration confirmation page" and includes the same UID code.

  6. Hi everyone,

My fiance is currently gathering the documents and going over her checklist for her interview on the 10th. She came across this section(see attached).

Does anyone know what this refers to or what it looks like. If you could show examples I could forward to her or give instructions where to find it.

    Thanks for your help.
