  1. Hello!!

I receive my green card through VAWA in 2019, I am now preparing to file form N-400, what docuements should I send along with the form? I have seen some lawyers only suggesting to send it with a copy of the green card while others advise sending all marriage, divorce and birth certificates and other documents. So im a bit confused on what should I send?

    Thank youuuu

    Hi Everyone,

I had my biometrics scheduled at my lawyer’s at another state, I don’t mind traveling down to do the biometrics do you think that would be a problem, because I know trying to reschedule might cause more delays - my VAWA has already being approved

    thanks

  3. Hi Everyone!!

Yesterday I received an updated on my I-360. It said they had received my correspondence and are reviewing it. What does this mean? My I-360 was approved on Sept 5th. I have approval letter on hand and everything.  Does this mean they sent it to my local office just now? I have not received any update after approval. I was thinking on asking my congressman to inquire on my behalf to see where is my case at this point.

I too have gotten this email, my attorney was able to find out that when I received it the last 2 times was when my file was transferred to NBC and dispatched from NBC.

@Military I was just reading some of your post and your case is very similar to mine. My VAWA was approved Sept 5th but I haven't received any updates after the approval. I haven't received the email that my case was transferred or anything else. Well I always get that email that my case is still under review (even though I have approval notice in my hands) My I-485 was on hold until VAWA approval. Did you received any notification from USCIS after approval and before interview notice? Thank you so much!!

I see that you're in Florida. Would you please let me know when you filed VAWA?

    Yes! This is my timeline..

    My timeline:

    May 15th 2017: I-360 Receipt Date

    June 9th 2017: 1st Prima Facie

March 14th 2017: I-485 Interview This was for the case my ex husband had filed for me. I went to the interview by my self as asked the immigration officer to hold this case until VAWA approval.

    December 11th 2017: 2nd Prima Facie

    June 7th 2018: 3rd Prima Facie

    June 1st 2018: EAD (C9) Receipt Date

I didn't have a bio-metric apportionment for this EAD because they used my old ones.

    July 19th 2018: EAD (C9) in hand

August 28th 2018: Card under production for form I-360

September 5th 2018: Card was mailed to me for form I-360

September 6th 2018: Your case was approved.

  6. Good Morning Everyone!!

I did an InfoPass yesterday about my change of address and there was no record of it. The officer just wrote a note in my file with the new address because he couldn't change it in the system. The office were I had my I-485 interview(were i asked to hold it till I-360 approval) is close to the office for my new jurisdiction so he said that since they started my interview process there they might finish it there even thought its not my jurisdiction. He suggested that I wrote a letter to them inquiring about my change of address.

Now I'm so lost about my case. I was approved on Sept 5th and I have my approval notice in hand but I haven't received any updates regarding the I-485 transfer and I still receive emails that my case is under review. I don't know what to do now. I feel like this whole address change created a mess for my case and it's just going to delay it.

Should I write a notarized letter to Vermont? Just going over the whole situation?

  7. Hi Everyone!!

    I need some advice @sandranj

My vawa was approved on Sept 9th 2018. On August 2nd I had sent a letter to change my address form AR11 signed by me. The letter was delivered but I never received a conformation. What should I do? I want to make sure USCIS has updated my address in both I-360 and I-485. The other thing is I want to remove my lawyer for the I-360 he has been so unprofessional and my vawa got approved because god is good. He has no idea about vawa process. I don't know how that would work since I-360 has been approved already. What can I do?

    Thank you!!

    Hello everyone.

I haven't posted in a while. I recieves my interview date for September 28th. This process has taught me how to be patient. 😓 I am so happy, but a bit nervous. Can someone who has already been to their interview tell me what you brought along with you? I got a check list but there is not a topic for  Vawa. Apart from the topic which states ‘DOCUMENTS REQUIRES FOR ALL INTERVIEWS’ is there any thing else that I need to take with me.

    thanks for your response.

Congratulations and best of luck on your interview! Please let us know how it went.

    Praying for you!

@Ingodshands94 Congratulations 🎊 No RFEs, May 15, that’s awesome! It gives the rest of us lots of hope!

How many pages did you have on your psychological evaluations? How many sessions did you attend?

    thank you!

One of them was from a therapist at the shelter were I stayed and she just specifies that I had attended 2 therapy sessions nothing else. It was one page. The other one was more complete. It was issued by the head therapist of the DV intervention unit of my state. It was more like an explanation of the "symptoms" I had because of the abuse and an explanation of treatment. This one was about 3 pages. If you are looking into obtaining a psychological evaluation I would suggest you go to a DV organization and explain to them what you need. The counselors and therapists there are used to giving this type of evaluations and know what immigration asks. I went to like 4 different organization in 2 states (Florida and California) and they all provided this help for free.

Yes, me. Vawa approved early April and my interview date was July 16. However i moved to another state in june and they made a mistake scheduling me in my previous state lol. So they had to transfer my file to where I'm right now and im waiting on a new interview date

What office was the one the you were schedule for the interview? I mean the state you moved from. That was a pretty quick adjudication. Was your I-485 filed before and then put on hold? or did you filed concurrently with I-360?

I was just about to write my timeline yesterday about my new combo card on delivery (my 3rd so far since marriage in 2016),  when sms and email alert said my 360 approved! I was shouting with joy and laughter in my room like I was crazy. Crying and laughing and kept looking on my online update if it was real and kept refreshing my browser. Oh God, Praise Be the Lord Almighty! I couldn't contain my happiness. Couldn't sink in into my system.

All the hardwork have paid off. No RFE. 4 prima facie's since March 2017.  I feel vindicated from the false accusations of my ex. I am so much humbled by the graces of God.

This journey transformed my life because so many good hearted people out there, most of them strangers are willing to help. God sent them to me to guide me in the right direction. I am giving my best to do the same.

May this inspire everyone here who are waiting for their approval. As I was also inspired and this forum helped me a lot in gathering materials for my vawa journey. Thank you also to Sandra who keeps helping.

    Keep up the faith!

Congratulations!!! I'm so happy for you!! Enjoy this accomplishment. You deserve it. Tuesday i received and email that my card was under production for I-360 which probably means my case is approved. I'm still jumping like crazy today!!

    Congratulation!

My status have update yesterday that they approved my vawa after 2 months i received EAD C31.

I am waiting to receive the approval letter.

How long after you received the EAD C31 did you received approval letter? Today I got an email update for I-360 saying "your card is under production". For the experiences here in VJ I'm guessing it's an approval.
