I completely agree. That is probably what we will do. It shouldn't be an issue, just changes some plans in terms of taking days off work etc. but I think it is worth a little bit of trouble to have the card before we go!

Maybe they don’t matter much but is the only thing they specifically ask for in the instructions. The more evidence you have the better.
Most bills they only allow one person and that is ok, maybe electricity is in your name and internet is in his name but show the same address, send a few every year you have been together.
Lease from the beginning of your relationship, Tax transcripts, do not send Tax returns.
IDs showing the same address, costcos or sams cards, car insurance with both of your names, send renewals, also home or renters insurance, health insurance, joint checking account, photos together and with family and friends.
Do not assume they have all the evidence when you guys did AOS, send it again from the moment you have been together.
We are also a same sex couple.
    Good luck guys!

Gather as much documentation as you can.  The more the better.  In addition to the advice already given, look for anything else that shows you live at the same address--Costco membership cards, joint credit card statements, cards/letters addressed to the two of you, health, dental, vision insurance notices, pay stubs, W2s, will, living will, power of attorney, USPS change of address notice, mailing labels from Amazon packages received, etc.  We're also a same-sex couple and are saving everything we can think of in a big file, preparing to submit ROC in May.  The more documentation you can send, in response to the RFE, the greater your chances for approval.  Most I-751s are approved eventually so don't worry too much.  Good luck!

    I assumed that this:

As of August 25, 2020, fingerprints relating to your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number SRCXXXXXXXXXX, have been applied to your case. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Means my FP got waivered, so now its just a waiting game yeah? If i were to need a passport stamp, I would have to request an appointment via phone call?

Give them couple more days. As for biometrics, most likely it will get waived.

Now i'm just waiting for the NoA. Its already been a while, should i start worrying? Or too soon to call and have any worries?
Also, given i did biometrics again in 2019 (due to an I-90 cuz they got my card wrong), what are the chances of the biometrics being waivered?

Yup, will make a photocopy of every document i'm gonna send (even of the greencard, even tho im sending the original), and send those. I would love to get an I-551 stamp, but the San Antonio office doesn't allow me to schedule an appointment to do so. Any suggestions on how to do so?

    Hello everyone!

Update time! Had the interview this morning and it went pretty good! We got accepted after about 30 minutes of interview (15 of which were spent by the lady trying to find a tabletop gaming shop that she asked us to try lol). She just asked really simple questions, but she seemed more interested in knowing us per se, more than a cold interview. She said I should receive my GC in the mail in about 2/3 weeks!

She took the extra documents we brought, but barely looked at them besides the photos!

Now just to wait. Only issue that MAY arise i think its that since we changed our living location, we both fumbled and told her we moved in in July instead of June, but I suppose if any issue arise with that the fact that they have a copy of our lease should clarify our memory being... not the greatest (we couldn't remember our own phone numbers since we changed them =_=; )

But yeah. Now just waiting for the GC! Was gonna check on the USCIS site if my status changed but what do you know apparently i forgot the password so that's gonna be fun to get back into lol.

    Hello!!
I'm doing F1-AOS based on marriage and I'm from SA too! What a coincidence, rite?!
9 months is pretty fast to be scheduled for interview. I hope mine will be the same. "finger crossed* (I just sent my forms last week)
I believe you have enough evidence for the interview. And good luck to you!!! You got it!!

No one really knows if there will stork interview for 100% sure but all you can do is do the best you can to provide the marriage is bona fide.  When my sister-in-law got married to my brother on her F1 visa, she dropped from college right away after wedding as her mind was no longer good for studying. They started their own personal business while filed for their petition and got approved - only she was interviewed but very basic questions.  Her green card got renewed without an interview and now she is a US citizen.  At the time, she got her interview very quick - less than 6 months but recently my cousin filed her adjustment from F1: 1 year interview and another year waiting for her green card arrival.

Do you also have any bills with both your names on them?? If so, bring those too but your paperwork seems good as is.

As for the interview, I understand being nervous. I wouldn't worry about your student visa or anything related being brought up. The interview is to determine the validity of your romantic relationship and marriage. Of course, if the IO needs clarification on ANYTHING, they can ask. But it's unlikely as they pretty much know your history from their own records.

The Stokes interview (separated interviews) only occur if they suspect fraud from the get-go and/or there's bad signs at the interview (very little grasp on English, clear lack of knowledge about each other, etc). Italy's a low fraud country btw, so why would they be immediately suspicious?? Answer: they wouldn't. From USCIS' perspective, it's not in their best interest to be overly suspicious and accuse every couple of fraud either because doing the Stokes interview uses up their resources, time and energy. So they need good reason and they need to maintain an image of intelligence and professionalism. The IO's are smart and trained to read people and they also don't want to socialize with every single couple for an hour. Of course, some IO's are harsh. But even with harsh IO's, it's better to be relaxed and confident and calm. Nervousness and anxiety can come across as fake or that you are hiding something. So it's better to be confident and not allow for any doubt to seep into the IO's mind. Hope this was helpful.

If you have stopped going to school on F1 visa, then your F1 status in no longer valid so you would out your status as “Other-Pending AOS”.
