I got my interview notice scheduled for June 22nd which is amazing after all this waiting. However, me and my husband has planned a trip to my home country July 2nd which is roughly a week and a half after my AOS interview.

What do we do if I have not received my card by then? Is it possible to receive a temporary stamp or something along those lines? Am I able to still use my Combo card?

Just looking for some guidance on how to navigate this or if we should attempt to push our trip up by a few days.

Thanks!!

Very unlikely you would have received your card just a week and a half after.  You may not even have a decision by then (ours took 3 weeks).  If you do leave, and it is denied, then what will you do?

Well, originally I was going to travel using my Combo card. We did not expect to get the interview notice so soon after.

I did see that generally you are still fine to come back in the country as they can look you up and admit you back in as an LPR. I guess my options are to do it that way, reschedule my interview or go to my interview and try to reschedule the flights. The two last options are probably the most logical.  Sigh, that's what I get for not expecting my interview until later this summer or fall 🙃

I would try to reschedule the flights.  I'm sure it is unlikely that your AOS will be denied, but if it were my spouse, the risk would just be too high.

I completely agree. That is probably what we will do. It shouldn't be an issue, just changes some plans in terms of taking days off work etc. but I think it is worth a little bit of trouble to have the card before we go!
