    Hi guys,
Finally NOA2.:jest: Didn’t get an email but I found on the new website.
    NOA1: 12/22 (New website 12/29)
    NOA2: 07/19

Is there any way to check the NVC status? Like when it’ll be received or when it’s left the NVC?

You'll want to wait a few days and then begin calling NVC for your new case number. Once you have it, you can enter it into the following link and it will tell you where it's at with the NVC:

I can finally say we got Approved and now im here. I am waiting for my NOA2 hard copy. do i need to make a copy of it and send it to my fiance as well?

How do i sign up for NVC website tracking, I don't have an NVC # yet. do I just use my WAC case#?

Congrats! Yes, your fiancé will need a copy of the NOA2 to bring to the interview.

Below is the website to check the status of your file once it is at the NVC, but in order to check the status, you'll first need to have your new case number assigned:

I received my NOA2 on 7/9/18 and just called NVC for my case number for the first time yesterday and got it after being on hold for about 20 minutes.

Hi guys. Ive read a lot of posts about calling NVC for their case number. Can anybody suggest what is the best time to call NVC? My fiance is in California and has been calling them and he been on hold like forever.😣😣😣. Its been 2 weeks for us and we are just itching to get our case number

Below are some good tips on calling NVC - I just hung up with them a few minutes ago after getting my case number . I waited about 20 minutes to get someone.

  4. Just look at it this way, if you go ahead and send in your K1 now, by the time December rolls around you should be about half way done with the waiting. Waiting for the AOS and EAD can be tough, but at least your fiancé will be here, and she can use that time to get to know her new city better, make some friends, and look into what kind of work is out there for when the time comes.

    Hi guys,

Question, can a K1 holder once they enter the US and get married work their old job overseas by telework while we wait for the EAD and AP auth? It would be paid overseas by a foreign employer. Is that allowed as they're technically not taking any American job?

    Thanks in advance!

It looks like a bit of a grey area, but below is a thread you can read through for other similar situations:

  6. I have a similar situation. My fiancé is from Iran, but is now a citizen of Norway.

It sounds like you are a dual citizen, so the ban should not affect you.

You should not be denied a fiancé visa because of your birth place, but I would expect an unknown amount of time spent in “administrative review” while extra background checks are done once you get to the embassy interview stage. It seems that has regularly happened to people from the Middle East.

We haven’t gotten to the interview stage yet, but I’m mentally preparing for a long wait while additional vetting is being done before a visa is received.

We just got our NOA2!!!! It says they'll hand the case over to the NVC in 2 to 4 weeks and then send it off to the US embassy in Sweden.  Does that mean that we can book the interview now and the doctors appointment ?! Did anyone else get their NOA2 ?if so CONGRATS!!!!

    Congratulations 😀

We just got ours this past Monday. Our embassy is Sweden as well. I believe NVC needs to assign their new case number and send to the embassy before we can make interview and med appointments.

Congratulations :) Hopefully everything will go pretty quick from now on.

Here's a link to the embassy checklist. I don't think it's been updated since but just double check when you get yours. I would start getting the police certificate and birth certificate, as well as have your fiancé/e start to collect employment letter and similar financial evidence. Good luck!

Thanks @LizM, this is exactly what I was looking for :)

  9. We just received our NOA2 recently and I am looking ahead to the interview at the Stockholm embassy. Does anyone remember or have access to "packet 3" or the checklist for items the embassy requires be brought to the interview? I can guess at the basics, but realize every embassy is slightly different and am not finding much in searching the threads here or on the Stockholm embassy's website.

Hello Jenna. Was he getting updates on his visitors visa? Meaning a last date updated. I have applied for a NIV (E2), they gaved me that DS 5535 since then there is no update. Its been 10 months and everytime i email they say to wait till this AP is finished. Not sure when this will end😔

No updates. Every time he checks, the status has not changed since the date of his interview in 2016. He did not receive the DS 5535. We stopped emailing the embassy for updates a long time ago as they could never give us any more information. My state representatives have been making inquiries for us every 30 days, but they receive the same reply my fiancé does when he contacts them. There doesn’t seem to be much anyone can do once your application falls into AP, unfortunately.

Our situation was the same. I don't want to scare you but my husband also applied for visitor visa on August 2016. They put him on AP after interview with 221g form (temporary rejection). Then I applied for his immigrant visa in January 2017. He had the interview one year later in January 2018. While I thought the visitor visa was cancelled automatically, we received an email from the embassy after 19 months requesting for more info. We replied back that he's not eligible for non-immigrant visa anymore since he's in the process for the immigrant visa! They said they will cancel the non immigrant visa request but to my surprise the case is still on AP!!!

Oh wow, ok, so he had his interview for the spousal visa this past January, but they've had him in AP since then even though he was in AP previously for 19 months for the visitor's visa?

I don't really have any hope right now that my fiancé's visitor's visa will be approved at this point, just hoping there won't be another long stretch of AP after his interview for our fiancé visa.

He is posting the same thing on numerous different topics hoping a online petition will change Trump's mind. hahahahahaha

I don't find this a laughing matter. It is not fair to hold an entire country's regime against them. My brother-in-law and fiancé escaped this regime because they left Islam for Christianity. They have been threatened with jail time and worse if they return and there are many many more like them still stuck there.  Yes, there are extremists there who support the regime, but the vast majority do not. If you do not agree with this petition, you certainly do not have to sign it, nor make snide comments that others on here who are very concerned about this ban can read. It is not helpful.
