Our status just changed today on the USCIS website and said that a new card is being produced and will be mailed to the address you provided to us. Does that mean the green card is being produced and will be mailed to us? However we have two case numbers. I just got off of the phone with the consulate call center and I was told they will continue to process the visa applications and passports, so I guess we will just wait and see what happens. Since the status says nonimiigrant visa and administrative processing I am hoping that is a good sign that perhaps the visa/passport will be issued soon, at least that is what we are hoping and praying for. 

 
 

We are so excited! Friday we were given our NVC case number. Just wondering about how long it takes for the application packet to be sent from the NVC after it has been given a case number. In the embassy in Caracas there are only two days left in 3 days left in January and two days left in February to schedule an interview. Hoping it does not take too long.   

Application was approved on October 15. Still waiting. Anyone else still waiting from around that time or before?

I am glad you said that about the savings because when I fill out my I-134 there will only be about 3-4k in my savings because of all of the costs (and less in my checking). I was told that W-2's are unnecessary.

You could do the affidavit and give that to her or you can fill it out, print it, sign it and the scan it. I also have a child, my medical was $35 and child $10. I also had to paid some extra because I needed to get some vaccines. I went to  Dr. Rigoberto's office in Santa Fe. The police clearance was tricky but I've been super lucky, I got mine last month and for the embassy they require them to be not older than 6months.

I think that's almost impossible to tell.  Your fiancee will need certain documents such as police reports and there could be delays there.
But the embassy is US funded and not only immune to the insane inflation but in many ways those who work there be it Venezuelan or American have about the best job in the country.
I'd suggest trying to get any documents that must be obtained from agencies run by the government, be it Municipal or Federal (Federal is in Venezuelan government agencies such as one who might give official birth certificate) ASAP and hope for the best.
Emily and Elton state there is a backlog, but for our K1 it took 8 months to approval so I tend to think that's unrelated to the economic crisis.

From what I've learned, this part of the process is primarily when they run background checks on you, the petitioner, as well as check your petition for errors, etc. before they approve. But they are currently behind on I-129f Visa petitions by 6-7 months, which is why the wait is so long.
