  1. Hello All,

Preparing to mail our I-751 package out tomorrow.  I have a couple of questions...

    1) Do we need to include petitioner's A-number on every page of evidence we submit including photos??  I've heard some folks have done this but not sure it's necessary.

    2) We have a ton of financial evidence to submit, but we do not have a joint bank account.  Should we include an explanation of why we don't use a joint account in the cover letter or just provide the other evidence?

    Thanks!

My wife and I are headed to the Las Vegas field office for our interview in 3 weeks so any advice would be appreciated. We have both of our names on our rental lease and bank accounts. I have a life insurance policy that has her as the beneficiary so I'm getting all my duck lined up!! All we need is to get her Nevada ID and a utility bill in both of our names. Everything else we have like pictures and birth certificates etc... Thanks!!:P

Sounds like you’re pretty well prepared. We brought literally everything listed on the appointment notification letter plus photos, joint accounts, etc. They took the evidence but never really looked at it. They asked the standard questions.  When did you meet?  Where did you meet?  When and where did you propose?  They were very professional and to the point. The officer even joked around a bit after the interview was complete. I think you’ll do fine. Best of luck and let us know how it turns out!

For us it was one day between received and number assigned.

As soon as the embassy in Tokyo receives your package from the NVC, set up your interview appointment right away after filing the DS-160.  We scheduled the first available for Oct 1 and when we scheduled that was more than 7 weeks away.  Medical is next week and we are checking everyday to see if an appointment opens up sooner.

That's great advice. Thank you!  Good luck and please let us know how you make out!

after sending a response on rfe for uscis, did they send you an automatic email (after 2 weeks), that your case is on reviewing still and that they have not made any decision yet? or have you just gotten a confirmation of your case?

They didn't send anything. My status on the website changed to "we received your response to our request for more information".

  5. My fiancé has visited me here in the US several times before we were engaged. Each time she was totally honest with the CBP officer and told him she was visiting her USC boyfriend. She was asked questions such as "what is your boyfriends full name?", "where does he live?", "what does he do for a living?".  There was never an issue with entry.

She he plans on visiting in March for the first time since I filed the I-129F. She plans on having plenty of evidence of ties to her country including the lease for the business she owns, her apartment lease, and of course her return ticket so we are not expecting any problems this time either.
