I created this topic to post some information about applying for US passport .
 
I became a US citizen on June 12, 2020 and I applied for US passport on June 15 2020. I was told that the process will take so long until I get my passports but I want to encourage those who became US citizens to apply to get their passports. I will be receiving my passport this Friday 08/14/20 . It took 8 weeks. Good luck to everyone . 

I had my oath ceremony on 06/12/20 , Applied for my passport in Usps office on 06/15/20 and received it on 08/12/2020
Make sure you set an appointment with the Usps office . Good luck and congratulations !

I totally agree, I was in the same situation as yours. I naturalized on July 8, applied for my passport on July 22 and had my passport in hand in just seven business days. Yes, just a week! No one can be sure why some passports are processed faster than others, but yes, things are happening pretty efficiently.

And the furloughs have begun....
Not many questions answered in terms of which offices are going to be mostly impacted, how many employees and for how long but I am sure that will come in time as more news outlets pick it up over the coming days. Key excerpts below:
 
"It’s unclear exactly how long employees could be furloughed, but USCIS expects them to last longer than 30 days....
...According to the furlough notices themselves, copies of which Federal News Network reviewed, employees will be placed in non-duty and non-pay status for anywhere between 30 to 90 days....
...“At this time, we do not reasonably anticipate the need for a furlough of 90 days or more,” the notice continues. “However, should additional furlough days be necessary, you will be issued another notice.”

Update* My estimated wait time has dropped from 2 months last week to now 30 days! Should hear about an interview within 30 days! Estimated case completion time September 2020 (3 months).

I just checked the picture I took of my green card before turning it in and the one on my green card was different from the one on my Naturalization Certificate. The one on the naturalization was the picture they took when I had my biometric done for the naturalization process.   

Thanks everyone. I was hoping its my GC one, my latest biometrics one was shabbier than that 😅!

The same one on your green card. I was hoping they would use the picture for my biometrics when I did the n-400 filing but nope. They used my raggedy old picture. But still thankful either way that this journey is over 😂
