Yes, My wife got the medical report next day. If everything is good, then they will provide it next day. Also, do not forget to do biometric and that you can do a day before

i would suggest 3 or 4 days before incase something got delayed. Also, book your appointment for medical right away when u get your interview date because i heard it is getting booked full so fast

I knw , i mean to say any mumbai cases reviews regarding interview?

Yes, my wife just had interview in March 15th.

Go here and you can read all the reviews http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=India&cty=&dfilter=5. I post mine there too

Only my wife went to interview (This review is based on my wife experience at the consulate and her interview)

She got there around 6:30 AM and there was already a lot of people standing outside. At 7:00 AM, they start calling the immigrant visa applicants to make a queue and they were calling by your interview time. No phones or big bags are allowed in the consulate. While you waiting in the queue, they tell you to take your passport and interview letter out and then you get in the consulate and you go through the securtiy check in and you put everything through the scanners and they pat you down.

After that, they tell you have a seat and then they will call you inside and ask if you are from South India or North India and they have separate counters for South India folks and for North India folk. Since my wife is from Kerala, she went to south India counter. While you are wait, they will tell you to arrange your documents: Interview letter, DS 260 stamped from biometric, Birth Certificate - original and copy, Marriage Certificate - original and copy, Police Clearance Certificate original, Passport and Medical Report. Then you go to the counter and India personnel is there and ask which language you prefer. She told them she is okay with English and then he ask some question like Who calling you? and How long you were married together. He also asked if you file 2017 taxes, she said no she did not have it because we did not file it yet. He said thats okay and then he gave back all the documents that was sent to USCIS and NVC and only kept what he needed. He then gave her the Pamphlet about rights to read and he gave token number to her.

After 30 minutes, an American guy called her token number and she went to the counter. He greet her with Hi, Good Morning and ask How are you? She replied back with Good Morning and fine. Then her fingerprints were taken and after that he start asking questions. He was friendly guy. Following question was asked:
    Who Calling you?
    Where did your husband born?
    Husband's qualification and education
    Her qualification
    where does your husband work
How long your husband working there and where?
    How did you guys meet?
When and how do we speak each other?
when was the last time you saw your husband?
Where did you went for Honeymoon?

After that, he waited a little and type something in system and then he said the magic words, "Your Visa is approved" and show me the printed saying visa is approved. My wife was happy and smiling so much and say thank you thank so much to the guy. Then he gave her the instructions to what is next and told her congrats and safe journey

PS: Did not ask any pictures or anything else

    Hello everyone,

Anyone that can help would be amazing!!! My husband went to his interview on March 16th with all the evidence and proof possible. They started off asking him all of the general questions about our marriage. He gave them the story and they questioned why my mother was not at our wedding. He answered accordingly. After the questionnaire was complete, they gave him a white form that ready as follows....

Your immigrant visa application has been refused under section 221 (g) of he Immigration and Nationality Act because your documents are incomplete. The current sponsors income does not meet 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for the number of immigrants plus the sponsors family members. .

Then it asked us to provide additional documents (additional sponsors) - FORM I-864 & FORM I-864A ...Joint sponsor + tax returns and supporting documents.

With this, they gave him another sheet of white paper that stated he should also submit evidence of ongoing communication between him and his spouse from before and after the marriage. Pictures of the wedding rituals, and chats/phone logs/etc. He asked the counselor during the interview if he can present those to him at that time, but they said no it was fine, and to submit if with the additional sponsor papers. He has to get all of this together and drop it off at AHMEDABAD VFS box WITH his passport.

My concern is how long this process will take. Is there anyone that can give me any advice or any experiences relating to mine? I can use anything right now. I heard many people say that this is common, but then I also heard people say that once you mess up, they take a very long time. I want to hear that it's not TRUE!!

    SOMEONE HELP!!!!!

    Hello Meera,

Just submit the documents they asking for and in few days his visa will be approved. Don't panic. You are almost there. I know how hard to be away each other. You will be fine and just sent all documents and double make sure you include everything they ask for. Good Luck!!!

I was reading the forum posts before my CR1 interview that helped me greatly. So in return here is my own experience.

My visa interview was on 7th March, 2017 in US consulate, Mumbai at 7:15am. I reached there @6:20am. They asked all the interviewees to wait on the road opposite the consulate and allowed us to enter the consulate after 7am. They first called the immigrant interviewees to make a queue and asked us to keep the passport and interview letter ready. Plastic bags, transparent bags or folders were allowed to take inside the consulate. They checked my passport and interview letter. Then I entered inside. Then we all went through a security check process. After that they asked us to keep the documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, sealed medical certificate, PCC, DS260 confirmation page, interview letter, passport, 2 photographs and copies of all these things) ready and stand in a queue to collect a token number from counter 1. Make sure all your documents are in English. If not then get the English translation of it with an affidavit. After collecting the token they asked us to wait again and started calling everyone sequentially as per the token number. After waiting for around 20 mins my number came. I was interviewed by an Indian officer. He was nice and polite. Between us there was a glass separator and I had to slide my documents through a thin slot. His work was basically to check the documents. At first he asked me to give all my documents to him along with the copies. He checked the original documents and kept the copies. Then he asked me some questions like my maiden name, my father's name, my mother's name, my mother's maiden name, whether it is the first marriage for both of us. As my husband was married earlier he asked me to  give the divorce papers, both the original and a copy of it. Then he asked me to wait for few seconds and brought my file. Then again he asked few questions like when my husband went to US, have I ever been outside the country, when I last met my husband. Then he gave me a brochure about domestic violence and consequences for it and asked me to go through it. This interview took about 4-5mins. After that he told me that all my documents were in place and asked me to wait again in the waiting area for the next interview. I started waiting in the waiting area. This time it took longer to call me again as they were calling randomly. I was called after a wait of about 40 mins. This time I got interviewed by an American officer. At first he greeted me good morning and started asking questions like what is my husband's name, what is his birthdate, what is his highest educational qualification, where we met, how we met, how the marriage happened between us, were any of us married before. As my husband was married before he asked me a few questions related to his previous marriage like when he got divorced, when they got married, why they got divorced, why he got married to me within 3 months of his divorce, where his ex wife was from, where they met with each other, where she lives now etc. Then he also asked other questions like if I had ever been abroad with my husband, where my husband works, where he lives, what is my birthdate, if I have any photos of the abroad trips with me. I answered everything and showed him the album of sample pictures that I brought with me. I gave him the album with the pages for the abroad trips photos opened. He took the album and saw almost all the pictures. There were about 50 photos. Then he told “Mam YOUR VISA IS APPROVED”. That made my day! I had a sigh of relief. I thanked him and wished him a good day. He wished the same to me and asked to pay the immigration fees in between getting the VISA and travelling to US, kept my passport and told me that the Visa will be sent to Kolkata Visa consulate within 3-5 working days. I left the counter with a big smile on my face. Then almost ran outside the venue so that i can call my husband let him know that I got the Visa.

COngrats. My wife interview at mumbai on march 15th. this helps

So I need some input into what to do with our lives, because NVC and consulates and everything is literally messing up our lives. I filed for a cr1 petition and initially asked for the abu dhabi embassy since my husband lives and works in Dubai but then saw on VJ that Abu dhabi is having major delays scheduling interviews. I got my NOA 2 on Jan 4, 2018, it was sent to NVC on Feb 1 and received by NVC on Feb 9 and we still don't have a case number. Since my husband is an Indian national we were going to transfer the consulate to India but then just found out yesterday that New Delhi consulate won't be processing anymore CR1 visas so all the CR1 visas in India will now be processed in the Mumbai consulate. To put things in perspective, Abu Dhabi processed 5 CR1 visas in January, New Delhi processed 111, and Mumbai Processed 238. So we are definitely going ahead with the transfer (which takes upto two weeks to get a new case number but shouldnt affect the rest of the NVC process according to the agents I spoke to). Now I don't know how long Mumbai interviews will be delayed. Before it was an average of 2 months from case complete to interview in Mumbai. My husband needs to serve a 2 month notice period in Dubai so my real question is: WHEN SHOULD HE RESIGN SO THAT HE WONT BE WITHOUT A JOB FOR TOO LONG IN INDIA BUT STILL HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO COME TO INDIA AND DO THE MEDICAL AND BIOMETRICS AND EVERYTHING AND A COUPLE OF WEEKS THERE BEFORE THE INTERVIEW SO HE CAN COME HERE STRAIGHT AFTER THE INTERVIEW AND VISA APPROVAL? WHAT SHOULD WE DO?? I know this is long and confusing but if anyone could give me any suggestions/input, I would really appreciate it. This forum has been my support group throughout this process and I really appreciate everyone who takes their time out to post here! Thanks in advance

wow, i feel bad for you to go through this much. Okay, i am just guessing. Suppose you got your case number next week like March 15. From paying all the fees and sending your package to NVC and it all took like 2- 3 weeks. Therefore, you will have scan date first week of april. Take worst case scenario and your case was completed in 11 weeks ( i hope it is faster than that), so that will mark around Mid June  for Case Complete and by end of June they might schedule your interview for August or September date depends on how much delay it is because of no new Delhi processing. So i guess, he work until July or August. This all just estimation since we did not know how mumbai going handle all this cases like are they adding more interviews time or days.  Good Luck!!!

Hey Guys!! I had my interview today at Mumbai consulate and I got approved!!

    My Approval story 🎉🎉—
So I reached around 6:45 at Mumbai consulate and waited till 7:15 outside . They called us in and then after the routine check, I entered the passage from where they called for document verification in batches of people. Then I was waiting for about an hour for my turn . They verified all the documents and asked for W2 copies of 2017 which I gave them . After that again I had to wait for an hour and half for final consular Interview.
The Counselor offer was very nice , we greeted each other gm and then she asked following-
    1. Who is calling you?
    2. How did you met your spouse?
    3. Do you have any mutual friends?
    4. Who attended your wedding?
    5. Do you have pictures?
    6. Who is your mother in law?
    7. Did you ever get denied for US visa?
    8. What will you do in US?

Then she was looking at my documents and there was silence for about 2 mins.. that was really killing me.. but then she said congratulations your visa is approved!!! And gave me a slip saying the same and mentioned that I need to pay $220 for greencard fee. And then I left 😊😊.. hope this helps you all .. best wishes 😊

    Congrats!!!
