I just realized when going though my forms again, that I accidentally filled in my (the petitioner) social security number under the 'information about the beneficiary' section. I put the same social security number as my own under the 'about the petitioner' section (it is my correct number). What should I do? Wait for an RFE? call the USCIS? Help!!!!

    Thank you!

I suggest wait for RFE. because sending anything now will delay the case and it might not get there with your original paper work

So, we finally got our Welcome letter and AOS Bill invoiced. We paid today and it says in process.

We have our document cover sheet.

Question: Is it safe to send the documents already now, before having the AOS bar coded cover sheet?

I assume one cover sheet is enough or we need to add the AOS cover sheet too?

    a) Do we need to wait until all is paid before sending the documents?

    b) Does it matter what date the letters inside the package are signed and dated with, e.g. earlier than the payment date?

I suggest send after the IV is paid. Thats what i did. I included both AOS bar coded cover sheet and IV bar coded cover sheet

Hi! We had a second checklist scan date of January 8th, 2018. Just checked my CEAC status online and it said "At NVC" called to confirm, and we have a CASE COMPLETE as of today; January 24th, 2018. Waiting for an interview to be scheduled at the Mumbai Consulate.

Congrats, me to waiting for interview to be scheduled at Mumbai. We will be getting for March i guess.

Its my belief it doea vary from case to ce based on the papers provided...For instance, my case is straight forward,  no divorce decrees or or or..even my AOS is on my sole income so no sponsor or anything. I believe cases with more paper work involves maybe more work...again it is my belief ...so I stand corrected.

I agree too. Simple cases are done faster. I was surprised that my case completed in 4 days. Now waiting for interview to schedule

Also after getting the date, call them again after some days to ask when did your file left NVC, that will give you a hint when to schedule for OFC and medical.

okay Thank you for the tips

I am writing my interview questions in a thread very soon.  There were a lot of questions about almost everything. But looked like CO had gone through all our chat records and affidavits but what matters is the final result. We are happiest people on face of this earth. We are madly in love.

Nice. Good to know. we are waiting to be schedule for interview. Congrats again :)

Then yeah send your divorce Decree again.

If you are applying for an IR1, CR1, or F2A visa as the spouse of a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and your petitioning spouse was previously married:  You must obtain evidence of the termination of EVERY prior marriage your petitioning spouse has had. This evidence must be an original or certified copy of one of the following documents:  FINAL legal divorce decree, death certificate, or annulment papers.

    • Send a photocopy of the petitioner’s marriage termination document(s) to NVC.
    • Bring the original petitioner’s termination document(s) plus a photocopy to your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

It does not hurt to send again. It is better to send than get a checklist :)

Oh makes sense! Thanks sibz! Now I was previously married and sent my certified divorce decree with my i130.... but I need to send it to NVC as well?

    Hello everyone,

Would someone please advise what you sent for the petitioner documents listed on the cover sheet for CR1? I have heard so many different things but I figured it's best to ask  those who have already been through this process with NVC. Thanks in advance!

at NVC stage for CR1, there is none to send for Petitioner document unless petitioner has a prior marriage and then petitioner need to submit the termination paper. The petitioner document is for IR5 visa
