In 2 weeks you should get a case number and welcome letter in email. Did you sign up to receive e-notification form G-1145 when u sent to USCIS? 

you need following:

coverletter ( i made one)

Checklist you received from welcome letter

AOS Package

Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

I-864 form 

your Tax transcript (they need only 2016, but i send both 2014 and 2015)

W2 (i sent all 3 years)

Employment letter

i also sent 6 months of paystubs

IV Package

your spouse Birth Certificate photocopy

your marriage certificate photocopy

photocopy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

police clearance certificate

sorry to hear that. I suggest call again tomorrow and see if they can confirm you have interview. Don't loose hope. you are there.

For a Visa Application Center (VAC) appointment
A valid passport
VAC appointment letter
DS 260 confirmation page

They should have a copy of the signed I-864 form that sent to NVC at interview. They might ask for it. I made all the copies that i am sending to NVC before i send it. 

If you did not have copy, i suggest to fill out other one if you remember what u fill out in first place and send that to your spouse.

Update: we schedule our medical for 3/9 and for biometrics on 3/12 at Mumbai

For me,

I got NOA2 from Potomac on 12/4. Potomac sent out to NVC on 12/8. NVC received on 12/13 ( i called NVC on 12/19 to confirmed this), On 12/22, we both got email from NVC with welcome letter and case number and invoice number

on 12/22, i paid AOS fee and submit DS-261, on 12/29, I pay IV Fee, on 1/3 i sent AOS and IV package and at night i submitted DS-260

on 1/5, NVC received our documents per UPS tracking, on 1/9 NVC scan date, on 1/13 CC

1/30 NVC schedule interview for 3/15

so in my case from NVC received to interview is 2 months

I'm still waiting for my case number. It's been 3 weeks and one day since they received it. They sent it to the supervisor last week but still nothing. I'm so frustrated and I don't know what to do.

Most MENA embassies have mandatory AP for males especially Morocco, Algeria, and yes it can be weeks to months long. And never do anything airline ticket purchase etc, until Visa is in your hands.
