Hello everyone. 
How long does it take for case to be ready at nvc? 
Case number assigned Oct. 17 and online case still says at NVC. And I really want to make it for the next batch that will be sent by the end of this month 😭

Just got our embassy case number today.  😁 but we haven’t received any mail yet. I called at 1pm est, waited for almost 30min, but the rep was very nice and helpful so it was all good.

When filling out ds160 it will ask u some where on the form to put in nvc number. The continue filling form out. 
When u schedule interview "if that's how ur country does it" u will need the application number from ur ds160 and put the number along with nvc number on the form. 

One more item, print off the confirmation page once you submit the DS-160 which will contain the needed information for the interview. Be sure to make copies and use where needed. Each Embassy is different so follow the P3 letter.

The fiancé(e) K-1 nonimmigrant visa is for the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen.  Once your file is received at post, an instruction package will be sent to you by email. First you need to pay the visa fee at one of Aramex offices, and then you have to register and schedule a K-visa appointment through the online appointment system at
www.ustraveldoc.com/dz. Assemble the required documents that are listed on the instruction package. Schedule a medical examination with the Embassy-approved physician in Algiers at least 15 days before your visa interview If the visa is issued, your passport and documents will be available in approximately 7-10 business days at Aramex office that you already selected for pick up or delivery.  I mean, they said yes and that his visa will be mailed. We will wait for that of course. Without the help of visa journey And the plethora of information and camaraderie here I am not sure if I would be saying these words tonight. Thank you all for everything. I will update when visa is in hand.
I will say that the officer asked why we didn't have "real" pictures. That was sort of a surprise to me. We just printed our pictures at home on regular paper . Also, I have three teenagers and most of the questions were centered on them ( not very many questions overall though less than 10 total) Just FYI!

Hello, I got my noa2 last September 28,2018 and I called the NVC after 18days when I received the noa2 and I got my case number, invoices number and beneficiary’s number and I check my case status still AT NVC until now and I called again the NVC last Friday here in Philippines and it’s been 5days my status isn’t changing? Any comments that I will know when my case will be READY? Thanks

The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (ceac.state.gov/). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent

K1 is kind of both, in this case it falls under immigrant visas.

So we have our NOA2(sep 28th). Will probably get our NVC number this week I hope. 
 
Can we fill out the ds-160 now or should we wait a little longer?

Our case was received at NVC, but not entered into the system yet.  NOA2 sept 24

Hi guys... 👋 am i the only one on here who got approved Sept. 26th and haven’t filled up DS160 yet?  Hopefully before this week ends we will have already our case number and start working on the remaining things... ☺️

Its been 11 business days since I received NOA2, so I’ve been thinking about calling the NVC to ask for my new case number. 
 
Is the beneficiary able to call and get the case number or does it have to be the petitioner? Only because USCIS has declined answering my questions in the past and my partner (petitioner) had to call them back 🙄

I got the same message too but we did not book the interview yet because the medical portion needed a letter from NVC before scheduling the medical appointment.  Hope that helps.
