Have you contacted them explaining the issue, must be the better action to take now, looks like it´s a system bug or something thta it´s associating your name with an older application!

So my cc is confirmed.  just called them. He said they're scheduling interviews every end of the month (like we all already know) so I think we might get the instruction email in a couple of weeks for July interview maybe? Thats my prediction, anyway

Ahhh case complete! Got case complete 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈 submitted all the docs on April 21. Actually I just received an email from NVC saying all my docs were accepted and I should wait for the embassy to schedule the interview. On CEAC only says “accepted”. Is that means case complete? 

i don't know why cairo taking a long time to do the scheduling which is i know a lot of people got scheduled for the visiting visa very quick i know its different but at lease its mean that they have a lot of dates 

Don’t worry same thing happened to us for our marriage certificate , 2 weeks from the day you send it you gonna receive your NOA2!! Good luck

just got off the phone w NVC they said USCIS sent a large number of cases all at once and its taking a while for them to generate case #'s for all these cases that they have recently received... she still put our case for "supervisor to review" I think thats all ####### and lies too. waiting game continues...
 

CC FEB/23/2018, Called today and still no interview date.  The last person from Cairo to be scheduled was at three months after CC date.  Hoping for good news

You are asking about the K3 visa. Be aware that the K3 visa is obsolete and is rarely approved. If you file for a K3 it will likely be converted into a CR1/IR1.

Actually the K3 saves you at most a month, maybe two depending on the speed at the NVC.  The petitions take about the same amount of time, or longer.  6-10 months is average at the moment.   But the K3 costs twice as much and considering the current AOS times, about twice as long to green card. About 0.3% (or less) k3 are issued to IR1/CR1.  Majority do not make it past the NVC. Its an inferior visa and has been for 6 or more years. 

Lawyers tend to sell you on their ability to get you together faster.  They usually only create delay for those that are straight forward cases.  The persons that care the most about this being quick are the two of you.   Years ago we would see maybe 10 or so K3s  but now they are about like unicorns .   It really takes them a few minutes to file the extra stuff,  fill you with false hope and collect you business.  

K3's never get processed anymore.  It is a leftover from decades ago when the CR1 took years for a USC . We see about 2-3 a year slip through.  What happens is the CR1 and the K3 get approved together and they will kill the K3 because the CR1 is approved when it hits NVC.  Only the freak cases where they don't arrive together go forward.  Just follow your I130  

So it's taking around 9 months for Nebraska to approve I-130s. Then there is the NVC stage which is around 3 months. Then the interview. So it's 13-14 months in total. The wait is the same for everyone. Nobody has it any easier. The wait hurts but it's all worth it in the end. 

You have misunderstood the question. The OP was inquiring about K-3 which enables the spouse to adjust status in the USA. Instead they will be doing the CR-1 outside the country and that is the OP's unhappiness - she wanted to be together sooner so she wanted the K-3. Best to reply to questions that only relate to visa types that you have an understanding of.
