Now let me tell you all about that POE:
 
QUICK & EASY!!! I landed in Philly and walked to the customs, and they sent me to one line that was for visitors and visas.
i was literally the second person in that specific line and was talking to the officer lady 2 min later! she asked me when we get married
and i said in about 2 weeks, and bigger wedding to follow in october with family and friends. 
she then took all documents and brought me to this waiting room. there were about 20 - 25 other people sitting so i figured that'll be a
 loooooong wait. there was a big clock so i saw i entered at 16:30 (let me count 5 min before when i talked to the other officer and waiting time,
so let's say 16:25 is the start).
there were 4 officers working on things, and about 5 min later one of them called my name
she asked me first to verify my full name (as she had the passport and docs) and then she asked about my fiance's name and birthday and address.
she then entered some data in the system, asked me if i have been in the US before, asked if I was in Georgia before and typed some more stuff
on her computer. Then she asked me when we'll get married and if I was aware that we have to get married in within 90 days and file for 
the adjustment too. I said yes and she said "ok, welcome to the united states" and gave me my passport and the CD with the x-rays back and
said i'll have to hand to my doctors here.
I checked the time and it was 16:40!!! 
 
So my entire POE took 15 min and sadly - i had a 5 hour layover as I figured it may take 1-2 hours
 
And let me tell you: landing in Savannah and having my boo pick me up, was AMAZING especially when
he said "welcome home baby" i was soooo happy!!!! <3 

I know she will want to fill you in with all the details but I can tell you that our dear @Swissmiss82 is safe and sound on US soil. We just figured out she has been sat in The Philadelphia airport for 5 hours and I only live about half an hour away from it!! 
Also @LizM fingers and toes crossed and good luck for Thursday- keep your eyes open for my girl @NadiaK who will be at the same embassy as you. You can’t miss her - she is drop dead gorgeous!!!  @Naes @NICK & PAULAHurry up and join us - the Champagne is now officially chilling in the fridge!!! We are finally at the home straight! 

I caved and booked a flight to Chicago for next week. I need two weeks with my better half.

I got excited about all the new cases NVC seemed to be receiving today so I called a couple of hours ago and the not so nice lady, whose name I can’t remember, gave me the same old spiel about the 6 weeks.  So, no luck unfortunately.  Sad day.    Then, I figured what the heck and decided to call back just now to check again.  This time I got the sweetest lady named Belle.  She checked again for me and this time she said they received it on the 25th.  Then she was like, oh that’s today!  Lol  I literally almost cried on the phone with her and she was just so sweet about it.  There was still no case number yet and she did say that it can take up to 8 weeks to generate but then she proceeded to tell me their office hours and said that I could call as often as I wanted, everyday even.  I was a little embarrassed to admit that I already call everyday and that I’d now moved up to calling multiple times a day!  🤣😂 Anyway, I’m so relieved that it’s finally arrived and I’m hoping that case number comes quick!

NVC Case #: April 24th
....Left: April 27th
....Ready: April 30th

So I quit my job today for sexual discrimination and bullying/harassment. Currently packing up my things as I live where I work(ed). A nice approval would perk me up today 😂😂😂🤪

Woohoo!!  Girl, I am so excited for you!!  After all of this time, it will be truly amazing and wonderful to see each and every one of us cross that finish line and FINALLY be with the ones that we love!  Wishing you luck on a smooth and easy POE girl but I’m sure everything will go splendidly.  You’ve got this!  You deserve this!  Enjoy it and pleeeeease update us when you get to the other side!!

i'm soo happy but i also had a really emotional day as it was my big goodbye with my entire family!

I agree.  While there is a wait, she will be able to get married with her family there and I will visit often.  I will be visiting my wife, not my fiancee.  She is happy.  God works in strange ways.  This is the best plan.  We should have done this a year ago!

A few tabs back there was a discussion about how long documents are valid for. I would like to explain so there is no miss understanding as it can delay any of your process (Visa & AOS).
 
First date to be aware of. When the NVC assigns you a case number and when you receive your NOA2 it will state you have four months to complete your interview. That's not entirely true. You have ONE year to complete your interview but NVC uses this tactic to keep you processing through the "pipeline" to complete your interview and not backing up the system. You can take longer as your Embassy can extend your elgibility in 4 month increments till you reach 12 months. If you exhaust the 12 months then you must go to the end of the line and begin the process again.
 
Second date to be aware of. You must be on US soil before your visa expires. Your expiry date for your visa is calculated based on the medical date. So, it's best to schedule the medical exam just prior to your interview so that you will have more time on the back end of the approval to immigrate to US soil.
 
Third date to be aware of.  Your medical is used for your AOS. The medical you took in your country before the interview is used during the AOS process also. At the time of filing your AOS, the medical cannot be more than one year old.  It doesn't matter that it takes AOS 10 months to process your application. The date will be determined by the original date of the medical exam and will be used as the medical validity BEFORE you filed your AOS application.  Again, it's when you file that the validity still needs to be active. It's not based on when they touch your record some months after you filed in which case the medical would have expired and they don't care. Just that it was valid on the day you submitted your paperwork for the AOS.
 
ATTENTION: The medical exam report is valid for six (6) months only. Your visa's validity will be limited to the expiration date of your medical exam.

@Swissmiss82, @Naes, @emekus94, @Thelucybelle  Our case number finally showed up on CEAC and it’s IN TRANSIT!!!!  We were even able to schedule my fiance’s interview at London Embassy already for May 23!!  They had as early as May 9th and even some for the following week but as my fiance’s medical exam is not until the 12th we needed to push it out a bit.  I am so excited beyond words right now!  I just want to jump and cry and scream all at once!

No more answers, I didn't call again, I was too worn out from it. I'm just relieved I can enjoy my weekend without worrying my case has done a disappearing act 

Yes.  Medical first, then interview.  You can schedule your medical as soon as you have your case number.  You don’t have to wait for the status to change at all.  Knightsbridge will literally just ask you for the number to put with your file.  The interview on the other hand, can’t be scheduled until your file is in transit.  The online scheduling system won’t allow it.
 
They had availability about 2 weeks out when I called and it seems they occasionally open up additional slots on Saturdays.

I am soooocautious yet taking risks right now.
 
i arranged my flight back so if I can’t make it to my medical in May, I will actually have enough time for medical and pick up!
 
by the way july 9 is already full! I don’t regret reserving it! 

All fingers AND toes crossed for you!  But as @ChuAni said, your medical is 3 weeks away.  I’m sure you’ll get something from NVC or Embassy way before then.  And even if for some crazy reason you didn’t, you still have proof on the website.  This whole process has all of our nerves in a jumbled, frayed mess.  We overstress, overthink, and over analyse everything in our own cases but can offer clear, concise direction and advice to others in theirs.    Even after scheduling my fiancé’s medical and interview, my mind automatically went to freak out mode trying to plan for worst case scenarios.  It’s exhausting!  These USCIS/NVC devils have driven us mad.   But seriously girl, you got this!  You are well prepared.  You have everything you need.  We’re all here rooting for you and everything will be fine!

Thanks @Naes!!  This whole process has been such an emotional rollercoaster.  I’m so grateful to finally be at this point.  NVC was making me crazy! Lol  And I’m happy to help where I can.  You go relax, girl.  You need to rest and unwind, especially after the stress of these past few days.

Ok girls, we decided to gamble. (I know how things should go but we decided to risk it)
 
So My case is at NVC and most likely won't get ready for a while because it is a 9 day holiday in Japan (I can't believe I'm saying this but I hate this holiday!!!!)
 
So I submitted DS-160.. everything is good till here...
Gamble No.1:  scheduled my medical for may 15 because I will fly to Turkey on 18, unless I get the e-mail from NVC or packet 3 (snail mail) from embassy I may have to reschedule.
Then I paid the MRV fee....
Gamble No.2: I booked the interview for July 9. 
 
I read all the packet 3 information I could find and it seems like that's just a packet and I may or may not chose to send some things... which I mean if they don't come till July 9 I believe there are bigger problems then risking one interview date.... 
 
So in the end, I was ready with everything. every single paper and information... and I gambled... now may I have all fingers crossed here please 

I just work up to an 'In Transit' Status.
