Lovelise26 got a reaction from CandiH in WAITNG FOR INTERVIEW DATE IN ABU DHABI
We received an email from the NVC on April 2nd that stated the following:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fiance(e)'s approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). NVC will forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy in ABU DHABI, UAE. The U.S. Embassy will contact your fiance(e) when they are ready to schedule a visa interview.
In the meantime, please have your fiance(e) and his or her children visit http://ceac.state.gov and complete Form DS-160, the online nonimmigrant visa application that is used for a K visa.

NVC Case Number: XXXXXXXX   USCIS Receipt Number: XXXXXXX   Invoice ID:  XXXXXXXXX   Principal Applicant:  XXXXXXXXX   Petitioner:  XXXXXXXXX   Interview Location: ABU DHABI UAE

Then I also received a second email addressed for my fiance from the NVC the same day. He then submitted his DS-160 on April 6th. At the time the first available date was April 25th and we still chose to select a date closer to the Travel Ban decision. We chose June 28th, then later changed it to July 12th.

You submit your DS-160 and once you pay the fee you are able to schedule your interview. This is the only thing we found and you can select the Abu Dhabi tab. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/list-of-posts-k1-k3-visas.html (for some reason I can never open the pdf on my mac)

Again, I didn't get any packet from the embassy. I did however received an email this past Tuesday, June 26th with further instructions. You may want to look through the pdf I mentioned above and get as much possible and then wait for the actual email from the Embassy. It will probably be sent to you a couple of weeks prior to the interview as they did with mine.
    Hope this helps.

I don't mean to be judgemental, but I'm shocked how quickly people fall in love and they are ready to commit to marriage o.O Especially after having a bad experience with scam and divorce.

Well, I wonder if the "husband" knows that he can only do adjustment of status through the K1 petitioner and they will forever be illegal in the US.

Seriously??? Have a serious conversation with your friend, jumping into another relationship with another foreigner (let me guess, from the same country as the husband nr1?) is asking for more problems. Not to mention USCIS will start to suspect she's part of the scam to bring people over to the US.

Not to mention - she NEEDS TO DIVORCE THE FIRST GUY FIRST.

She seriously want to do K1 again? She will face heavy scrutiny. Did she even meet that guy in person yet? That's the most important requirement.

    Forget about K3, non-existing.
Tourist visa is for tourist, not for immigration purpose.

Oh that’s right, I made a mental note that someone else with an Iranian fiancé was scheduled to interview tomorrow. Hoping and praying it goes great - keep us posted on how it goes! 😀

Consider what everyone told you. If bunch of strangers on the internet suspect you're just visa shopping, how are you going to convince people who are masters in this job that your relationship is real?

Not to mention being this young and joining military life.. will be tough. If you're really in for a relationship, be prepared that you'll be spending a lot of time alone. Moving every 3 years. Struggle with career and jobs. Being vented by all his military friends.

Trust me. My husband's buddies often would ask him if I'm really in for marriage or just scamming him for green card. it will happen to you too.

If you just want a way to the US, please look for other route. Breaking someones heart is the nasties thing.

And if he's military then be aware eveuthing about you will be checked. Scamming military members for green card is not something they deal with lightly. Command is aware about foreigners doing that.

If your feelings are geniue then good luck, but personally I believe you'll have a hard time proofing good intentions.

An update from today, a new court case has been filed to get visibility around the waiver system, so that should also give us some more hope:

Wow, this is very bad news for a lot of us. I hope waiver processes are put into place for those who have spouses and fiances they are awaiting to join in the US. I am very worried about my brother-in-law who is currently a refugee in Turkey right now and what this means for him and my sister.

I hope not, @Cyberfx1024, but my fiancé is originally from Iran (even though he has been a Norwegian citizen for 15 years) and has been put into AP for his tourist visa to visit me here for the past 18 months. He was told at his interview that this was pending extra vetting due to the ban. We are naturally concerned that this will happen again once he has his interview for our fiancé visa whether or not the ban is allowed to continue. My brother-in-law is a refugee from a banned country currently living in Turkey for the past 5 years awaiting permission to come to the U.S. He has been told that his refugee process has been halted until the Supreme Court makes a decision. So yes, I will do anything, even something as silly as writing a simple letter, if it means my family will be allowed to join the rest of us here in the US.

There are a number of us in a similar situation as yours. You seem to have all of the information we do, which is basically our only option is to hope that common sense prevails on April 25th (although the results wont be out until June i heard) and we dont end up being collateral damage. Not just fiances  - there are families separated - wives and husbands, minor children and parents. Worse yet, some of them are in conflict zones like syria and yemen. So in essence, there are US citizens with their spouses and children in war zones they cannot bring back to safety.

Little hope that I have is that when travel ban 2 was argued in the supreme court 6 of the 9 justices opined that individuals with bonafide relationships with US Citizens could not be banned https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/16pdf/16-1436_l6hc.pdf . The part that scares me though is that JUSTICE THOMAS, with whom JUSTICE ALITO and JUSTICE GORSUCH wanted to stay the injunctions in full. Two more and they could ban our husbands, wives, children indefinitely.

    Fingers crossed.

I know your "pain". When my previous wife was diagnosed with breast cancer she was given 6 months to a year to live. That woman never gave up. She extended her life for 5 years till her death. I was left with her memory and three children; twins girls at 9 yo and a son 11. I had many of the same thoughts you are experiencing. We all face battles and set backs in life. That's a given. But what we don't realize is that there are a lot of people depending on us. Yes that includes YOU! Besides your mother, your father, your siblings, your children and Stuart. You need to take the lead and be strong. Work with Stuart on a plan. What can he do in your absence. What can you do from the USA. Then set your team up to help. Involve friends, church members, your minister and your mother's minster. Everyone needs to be rowing the boat in the right direction. If everyone is rowing in the right direct and at the right cadance you'll get through this.

Right now just forget about your visa for now. Let visa things fall into place and they will. You can't hurry the Government.

    My thoughts are with you.

Some receive the case number the same day, the next day or a couple of days or weeks later. That is why NVC says  "up to 8 weeks" for you to get a case number once they receive your file. My case was received at NVC on 3/20/18 and 13 days later I received my case number.  Just be patient

    Hello March-mates
Like our silent NOA2 - my packet arrived yesterday😍 Again there is NO Update via online. I'm a bit worried as most you guys got your nvc case numbers and started to track the status. We haven't read through all the instructions inside the packet yet but we're really happy it came earlier than expected.
For those couples out there with the same case like ours (no update via online at all) I know it's driving you crazy and testing your patience but keep tight and buckle up to your surprise one of these days your packet will be at your doorstep.

    NOA1 - 11Sep2017
    NOA2 - 13Mar2018
    Packet Received - 4Apr2018

No one, not even a business (RapidVisa is not a company that can guarantee to speed up your process, they are charging you for voodoo dust) can speed the processing up nor do they have control over the processing time. We (USC) are dealing with a problem of immigration that frankly has to be fixed and now is better than later. Hence, more scrutiny has added to the process. This is a game of who has more patience you or them. The sooner you relax the better your life during this process will be. Just saying from years of helping folks attain their visas.

Lovelise26 reacted to Hypnos in Adjustment of Status after 90 day (K1) visa
You haven't been given any conflicting information.

Your K-1 visa expired the moment you passed through immigration controls at the airport, since it's a single-use visa and you used it. Your legal presence is now governed by your I-94.

You are initially granted 90 days of legal status. Your K-1 visa requires you to marry your original petitioner within those 90 days, though there is a workaround if you later marry the petitioner outside of those 90 days.

Once your I-94 expires (after 90 days), you are out of status and removable by ICE. You also begin to accrue unlawful presence. Filing your I-485 'stops the clock' on unlawful presence, and places you into a period of authorised stay until your I-485 is approved or denied.

You don't have to file for AoS, but you will be considered unlawfully present in the US from the time your I-94 expires until you do. The political climate right now isn't great for those unlawfully present, so you should file asap.
