Not only do the VO's look at if the petitioner meets the requirements but also if the person that is applying for the visa to go marry the petitioner will he/she be in financial hardship if she/he were granted a visa would that put them in a worse situation.
If you live with mom and dad and no income , sponsor or not they will more than likely turn it down and besides why would "you" (speaking in general) would bring someone here to live with parents and/or no income. That's not fair to the fiancé.

MandW got a reaction from D and T in I-134 Previous Affidavit of Support
This was my case, I did a 134 form for my ex when I did a k1 with her, we were married 12 years when we got divorced. The and I will do another 134 form with my current fiancé and K1, when I did the petition I marked "yes" (cant lie!!) and my lawyer said as long as the first form was 10yrs or longer than it don't matter your current 134 form, but you have to state yes and how long ago on the petition that was sent in for 129f

waiting for noa2 is 6 months on average but before it was 3-4 months, now NVC is backed up and had a 2 week on average and now its 30-60 days and then 2 months to the interview after that which comes to 10 months to 12 months for k1.....this is unacceptable.
when I read 30-60 days for NVC that burst the air in my bubble, total let down.
    so stressful!!

I hired a lawyer to my mine, less chances of a RFE. took him a week to do my paperwork and then I signed off on it. we included everything listed and a few extra. Not a books worth but enough he suggested and I we did. He told me before I hired him 129f approval times were 3-4 months and my fiancé should have the visa within 5-7 months. I'm nearly at the 6 months waiting for the NAO2. I knew if the no noa2 by December 15th then it wouldn't be until after the new year due to all the holiday vacations the people at uscis would be taking thus time away from looking at the files. Now that the holidays is over is probably why we are seeing a fast pace for the july people. July is moving quick. which is good because we are august.

divorce decrees sometimes take a while. I had to wait for the clerk of courts to mail me a copy as its not automatically sent to you after a divorce, that took 3 weeks to get. Had I got it earlier I would have been a July filer

Since they ask for the fee upfront I expect a faster process. They need to change the system to 50.00 application fee that is sent to USCIS and then when they notify you its approved then they request you go online and pay the 129F fee then your petition is sent to the NVC.
What I guess is a lot of the delays and hold ups is people that get RFE's for more evidence! a lot of is not providing PROOF you met in the last 2 years, how hard is it to read the instructions and send in evidence , like plane tickets, copies of your passport entry and exit stamp, photos, receipts.. this is what is causing the delay. The USCIS workers spending time reviewing a petition and come to the end looking for evidence that isn't submitted. seriously peeps....send in the evidence to help slow down these delays for the people that did do it correctly from the get go.

When I filed in August the timeline said approx.: DEC 16-22 for NOA2 then monthly or seems like every two weeks it gets pushed back another two weeks then another two weeks, it went to dec 26 to jan2 then jan2 to jan 8 then jan 8 to jan 16 then 16 and so on and so on, just checked and it is now pushed to feb 2 to feb 6 so I expect in two weeks that will go to feb 6 to feb 13, when we send $500+ upfront and no other information until you get either noa2 or a rfe and nothing you can do about it , it needs to be changed to send $25 then when they give the noa2 then you pay the rest. This "might" motivate them faster, but then again it may not. Holidays are coming , they will start being under staffed due to employees taking time off for the holidays so I expect longer delays ahead for us august filers. I'm over the 4 month period waiting for the noa2. Just don't understand how last year this time they were getting approvals in 30 days to going to beyond 6 months!!! I don't even want to talk about the future with my fiancé because this really sucks.
