Most of the posters here are just shilling their website (hank and Greenbaum) and like to be known on the forums for a high post count. But we went through the process of getting the police clearance from Qatar. It seems the Qatar embassy likes to use DHL to submit the requirements. My wife had to go back 4 times because every-time she went from the initial visit to seek the requirements, they added something new she was required to get. Firstly fingerprints were done at Camp Crame, and afterwards they didn't accept them at DHL. She had to re-do them. Then two of the documents she didn't have authenticated, they decided that they wanted them authenticated. When sending the package you need to send dollars. The Qatar website says $10. but DHL will say it is $30., ok no problem. So all in we spent about 9000.

Most likely i will be filing  complaint about the price gouge that happened when submitting this paperwork. But stopping the process and filing a complaint and waiting to get it resolved is very time consuming so we just paid it....unfortunately... We tried to submit the police clearance through LBC but they threatened to X-Ray the paperwork and if money was found, they would reject it.

MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court on Tuesday said that a divorce obtained by a Filipino from a foreign spouse is deemed valid in the Philippines.
SC spokesperson Theodore Te said that 10 justices ruled that “a foreign divorce secured by a Filipino is also considered valid in the Philippines, even if it is the Filipino spouse files for divorce abroad.”
Associate Justices Mariano Del Castrillo, Estela Perlas-Bernabe and Alfred Benjamin Caguioa dissented from the ruling, while Associate Justice Francis Jardeleza took no part in the decision. Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno also did not take part in the decision as she is on leave from her office.

I think when they were carrying in the stack of petitions they dropped them on the floor. This is why people with PD's later are getting approved before the one's submitted earlier in the month. When they picked them up, they just grabbed them in no order. My other theory is one of the inspector's are spending too much time on their Facebook.... Sorry trying to keep everyone smiling, I also am waiting for my approval.

Not worth it. Just buy it from Lazada online for under 100usd and most likely it will ship for free. They are pretty good with fast shipping.

There is no point in arguing each other on misunderstanding.

I believe the reason OP is asking if the new passport with married name is needed is that his wife hasn’t been able to get the new passport. Her passport department is telling her to get the visa in old passport and then they will issue the new one. While your reply about need of new passport was good, your reply with “you are good to go” didn’t help the OP. Just pointing out the miscommunication.

The-Journey reacted to John & Rose in GCP at CFO Completed
My fiancee completed her Guidance and Counseling Program seminar at CFO yesterday.

There is a long form consisting of 3 pages of questions that has to be filled out there.  That is why they require you to sign in 1.5 hours before your scheduled session.

Make sure you have information about the USC there with you.  They asked these questions about the USC:

    What is their job?
    Where do they work?
    What is their religion?
What is their mother's full name?
What is their mother's maiden name?
    What is their birthday?
    What is their age?
    Where were they born?
What is their address in the US including zip code?
    What is their email address?

The other questions are about the relationship.

The seminar talks about the culture differences between Phil & the US.  They also give stories of challenges faced by others after making the move.
There was also a short one on one interview where they ask about the reason for annulment and divorce.  They want to see the annulment and the divorce paperwork and may ask for more.  Bring everything with you that you may need.

Rose said it was easy and comfortable.

Keep in mind that she only received a certificate and will have to go back to a CFO office after she has her visa to get her stamp.  In our case, her children will have to take their CFO peer counseling after they receive their visas so she can get the stamp then.  If you do not have kids joining you, it is possible to get your CFO stamp at the CFO office in NAIA on their way to the US.

I strongly suggest getting this out of the way so you have one less thing to do while waiting on the NOA2!

    Good luck everybody.

I am writing this to help others who may be looking for a wedding ring. We searched for days throughout many malls and everything was priced very high.

I decided to do a Google search and came across this blog http://gracefullweddingrings.blogspot.com

Just to confirm this gold dealer is legit! We found an amazing wedding band for a fraction of the prices the malls have.
