    Not quite.
He asked me why I was not moving to my husband, why I was just visiting for Christmas. I said I am still in school in my home country, but I want to move to the US after I finish school in Fall 2014. I told him I had my a photocopy of my notice of action if he wanted to see it, he said he knows I have everything, so he is not asking me for anything.
I do not know if he meant "I see you have submitted I-130 in the computer" or if he meant "I see you always had the documents required of you when other officers interviewed you". In Dec 2011 I told the officer interviewing me for my B1/B2 visa the 6 year plan including: marriage, grad school, CR-1/IR-1 and filing for citizenship. I figure she made a note of it in the system, as this is the second time they refused to look at my documents referencing to whatever was written in the computer.
It is quite possible he could also see a pending I-130, but I just do not have enough information to conclude that is the case.

Hey if anyone has visited on their B1/B2 visa as well please post. We know it's really hard to get this visa after you are married or after you start the immigration process but are you able to POE normally without issues?

I wanted to share my experiences with visiting the US while waiting for the Green Card process.
We submitted our application in June 2013 and are currently stuck at NSC. Until January 2014 we were both living together in Canada, but my wife's new job in the US started in January. We searched a lot on VJ about visiting during the application process and while there were many posts about the risk of being turned away we found few actual first-hand reports of people not being allowed to enter the US. I live in Montreal, which has the great advantage that flights to the US go through pre-clearing, i.e. you do the customs and immigration stuff while still in Montreal. So in worst case they turn you away and you've lost the cost of your ticket, but at least you're not stuck at some US airport. Based on this, we were willing to give it a try. I booked a return flight (7 days stay), did the ESTA online application (I'm a German citizen), and assembled a bunch of documents showing my ties to Canada (rental lease, work contract, ticket of my wife coming to Montreal in March) and the transfer notice from USCIS.
I arrived at the airport well before my flight in case they'd interrogate me for a longer period of time. But no, everything went well. The border agent asked:
purpose of trip: visit wife is she American: yes do you intend to immigrate: yes, eventually, but not now. We've started the process in June did you go to university in the US: yes, but no longer do you go to university in Canada: no when do you intend to immigrate: whenever I get the green card, probably not before June. That was it -- I made it!

Be very careful unless you have known her for awhile most the time they start asking for money and for you to start paying for things usually means a red flag.

I keep hope that maybe will be transferred to Texas. I also hope that come August/September there will be a end of the fiscal year push to get the backlog down. It is just hopeful thought.

Where this becomes important is when you look at the case processing times. Nebraska, for example, is working on cases from November of 2016. Your priority date is how they determine the order of picking up the applications. As June filers, we have to wait through people with PD's in December-May before they get to ours. That backlog is why we're looking at first quarter of 2018 before we expect any movement on our cases.

Should we start counting or create an insanity word bingo game?

Count: - How many times we visit VJ website? Dial-in and check our status ...
Bingo game - choose words like insane so we develop a standardised vocabulary of "USCIS terms of frustration" .....

It's currently taking around 11 weeks for NVC to complete the case after receipt of the civil documents.

Interviews usually happen around 6 weeks after case complete status but it all depends on how busy the embassy is. Some embassies have wait lists of several months (Abu Dhabi, for example) but some embassies have very quick turnaround times. Have a look at recent approvals from your embassy and see how long after case complete they had their interview dates.

It's almost over. The worst part is definitely over.

Can I ask why you have been at the NVC for 3 months already and only just sent your documents? I know the process is slow and frustrating but I would urge everyone to use the wait for the I-130 to be approved to get ready for the NVC so that it goes as quickly as possible. I had all my documents ready to go except one tax transcript that was lost in the mail by the time my case reached the NVC. You have to be pro-active in this.

I sent some immigration paperwork through UPS express 3 day priority (My ROC package). It took 2 weeks. Stressed doesn't even come close. Nothing is 100% guaranteed to arrive on time.

Sent all my paperwork with USPS Priority Express, all went great, so your mile may vary. Do not blame the whole provider only by your case.
