I would check out this page http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Mexico&cty=&dfilter=5 it is reviews of the consulate for Mexico as the particulars for each consulate can be specific and is based on people who actually had there interviews at the same place you will be having yours! But for the i134 affidavit of support I am including verification of employment, pay stubs from the last 3 months, tax transcripts for the past three years, and W2's for the past three years. You can also get information from your bank regarding checking and savings accounts, the average balance, and the total amount deposited over the past year- however from what I have read this information does not need to be included if your taxes provide evidence of sufficient income!

This is a list of what is required to bring to medical exam in Kenya this is just a reference I am not sure on the particulars for Mexico:

    1.     Original valid passport, 3 copies of the bio data page as well as proof of payment

    2.     Your letter which has your case/file number, plus 1 copy

    3.     2 recent passport size photos taken less than six month as per specification above (2” X 2”)

    4.     The cost of the initial medicals assessment will be USD 138 for adults while a child aged below 15 Yrs. is USD 105. In addition to the above flat fee, the additional charges for vaccination will depend on what the panel physician will determine i.e. given your age, sex, medical history, current medical condition, previous vaccinations. Thus the total cost ranges between USD112 and USD294.

    5.     If the doctor does not require further tests after your exam, you will be given your CXR film on the same day while the medical report including your vaccination certificate will be sent to the embassy the following day. In the event further tests are required, the doctors will advise you when to collect your CXR film.  Kindly note you will be given your vaccination certificate at the US embassy when you go for your interview appointment.

    6.     We advise you book an appointment at least two weeks PRIOR to your appointment with the embassy, if not earlier.

This is a short list of some of the things I plan for my fiance to have in hand when he heads to his interview:

-Confirmation of interview appointment and past medical appointment (medical info is sent directly to the consulate in my case)
    -passport and copy
-birth certificate & copy of birth certificate
    -DS-160 confirmation page
    -DS-160 payment receipt
    -police certificate and copy

-passport photos (my consulate asks for 2)
    -I-134 Affidavit of Support
-tax transcript, W2, verification of employment

-evidence of relationship (loads of photos, flight confirmations, boarding passes, Airbnb receipts, etc)

I hope this is helpful sorry it is not consulate specific for you!

Thank you sooo much for this! Is really helpful

    Update

    NOA 1 4-13

I received an electronic notice that the USCIS was mailing me an RFE on 9/5.  My online status changed almost immediately.  I live in San Diego and the CSC is in Los Angeles.  I didn't get the letter until 9/8.

The RFE requested more proof of our seeing each other.  The request I thought I'd fulfilled was to prove that we had seen each other at least once before.  Apparently the electronic tickets  (of several trips) I'd sent and pictures were not enough.  The letter states I needed to at least send a copy of a boarding pass or other such evidence as well as copies of the face page and passport stamps.  My fiancé and I have seen each other nearly a dozen times in our relationship and I didn't want to copy every piece of evidence about every visit.  Some of these visits included his family coming to meet mine and one of my children coming with me to see them in the UK.  We have pictures of our kids and us gathering around the Grand Canyon and sitting in rides at Disneyland with us for god's sake.  Also, since we are so electronically dependent most of our tickets have been electronic boarding passes.

This antiquated requirement they have is outrageous!

Soooooo.... deep cleansing breath..... I gave them EVERYTHING.  I sent them the electronic tickets, I sent them the proof of purchase transactions for the tickets.  I sent them corroborating passport stamps of every visit by me, him, and even our Kid's passport book stamps.  I sent them pictures of me and him and our family together with arrows and names over our heads and dates they occurred with all the famous sites labelled.  I sent them copies of the boarding passes we did gather and luggage tags that happened to be stuffed into luggage pockets and even photo snapshots of the electronic boarding passes we used (sometimes I do that in case there's no wifi or LTE service).I sent them credit card bills of purchases made while we were in the other country,  The entire package was 129 pages with cross referenced flight details, times the flights departed, changed planes, airports we changed planes in, and times we arrived.

See, what they don't realise is that all of us hunny bunnies LOVE to show Off our relationship in full animated colour copies littered with smiles and joy.  The gathering was a trip down memory lane and even if it took six hours and a sleepless night to gather it all, it went out in the mail this morning with a copy sent to my fiancé.  Btw.  The RFE gets sent to a PO box so it can only be sent through the US postal service, not FedEx.

Best of luck to all of you and please send good wishes my way that the "book of evidence" was well received and gets me speedily to the next step.

What a lovely what to fix and fight the RFE, Im sure the adjudicator will be like "ok ok, I made a mistake not trusting you"<_<

But hey! They wanted Further Evidence!!! Right?:jest:

Hope you get your NOA2 quickly!

Glad to see they are getting through more mid and late April cases.

    Congrats.

What city did the petitioner put on the I-129F for where the interview should be held?

Well Im actually living on Mexico City at the moment so we marked that on the I-129F

But to my understanding K1 in mexico are  only processed at Ciudad Juarez thats my main doubt.

maybe @PrinceOfTheRich could help me out? Any fellow Mexicans here?

Hi everyone! After a LOOONG 144 day wait with zero updates, this is what showed up on my informed delivery today! I'm trying not to get too excited until I see the contents to be sure, but I am so so happy that there is a letter!

Just in case this happens to be an approval (I am still trying not to get my hopes up - though it's really difficult), my case tracker still shows received April 10th with no further updates. A Tier 2 officer last week told me that my case wasn't even assigned to an adjudicator exactly 1 week ago too, though he wasn't too nice so I'm not sure if he was telling the truth or just trying to get me off the phone.

I just wanted to mention this in case anyone else is like me getting depressed that there are no updates on the tracker on their case even though it might be working for some. Just keep checking and there might be a letter after all!

P.S. Interesting note - the postage mark on the top right actually says ZIP 05495, which is Vermont and not California.. I don't know how these postage stamps work and it doesn't actually match up to the Vermont Service Center zip code but thought it was interesting nonetheless.

If you read closely you can see... "has been approved" at the bottom of the envelope window

Yes he is planning to call nvc to know our number, more like trying our luck since it's just 9 days from Noa2. But he's excited wants to schedule our medical and interview already so I guess no harm in trying so we can be together soon. At least you have your attorney to do that😊

So then how many days you wait after the NOA2 to start calling? Im just curious here, Im still waiting for my NOA2

April 13th here and feeling it TOO...😒

Fingers crossed 🤞and a 🙏 That our caseworker has an awesomely productive day tomorrow with a couple of double shot expressos ☕️ to speed up his/her reaction time and approves ours soon.  I'd even send him/ her a pizza and UberEATS a Starbucks to him/her at this point, lol

I'm on the same boat; April 14th Received date.

Happy for everyone that have received their NOA2, but getting Elphaba green with envy in the good way.

You were told you have an RFE?  I am sorry.  Hopefully it will be an easy fix.  Why does it take them so long to send out the RFE?  Maybe they will send it today or tomorrow.

So now we are supposed to call to see if we dont have any RFE because the tracker is not working?

At this point I dont know if I should wait or start calling, my received date is April 14th

We are on day 132. We haven't called yet. There aren't very many cases with our received date that have been approved so we aren't worried about not hearing anything yet... we are just going to wait it out and if it gets to 150 days we may think about calling... maybe.

With those received dates, I wouldn't expect to hear anything for a week or two. Of course, its entirely up to you and if you think calling will give you peace of mind go for it! And be sure to update us all! We love to hear how other people's experiences have gone. :D:P

My received date is 04/14 and we havent called neither.

My VJ timeline says Aug 24-30th so I just think we should wait a little longer

    Our case ending is 0635

You know, you on this post have reminded me so much of myself, on being pessimistic and thinking our bad luck would keep putting sticks in our wheels.

I can't say these 3 years have been the easiest ones and it's amazing when we look back and see how much things have changed in our lives for the better. At some point, once we knew this was meant to be, even when people and cosmos seemed to be telling otherwise, we decided to do our best and work on it together for a better future. And maybe our better it's really good, because it worked.

I can relate to your words because, while sailing the long wait of this process, Gary and I used to talk about potential plans, what ifs and dates... And we were always back to the same damned words... "If we get lucky... But when have we got lucky?" Well, come to this point is obvious we got quite lucky, because we were ones of the firsts getting a NOA2 for our date...

I was so prepared to be left behind that it was indeed shocking, kind of surreal or like a dream... But no, it didn't happen, we weren't left behind.

I know it's easy to talk when you have your approval and are not the one still waiting. Not that easy because sometimes I even feel a bit guilty on the fact others with my date or before that are still waiting...

I guess my whole point is luck changes. Keep the hope.

And sorry for the long rambling or whatever this is :)

I feel like this too, and like my whole life right now is on HOLD.

My timeline seems to be moving back again and again, sooo close everyday and sooo far at the same time.

I know I shouldnt be putting all my hopes on the timeline records because is just an "estimate" but an estimate that is killing me for sure.

My received day is April 14th... should I be despairing more?

WAIT! Are you saying that in your Informed Delivery you have your NOA2?  That is the best news ever, I have so very happy for you and Gary.  CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!  Of course I am also jealous as hell, but very happy for you. :jest::jest:

WAIT WHAT? @Estibaliz just got approved?! OH MY!!! Congratulations! I feel like our time is coming!!!!

So happy for you and Gary!! Big hugs!

Oh, who doesn't love a smarty pants? I'm sure my fiance does, because I most definitely am one :D

I'm also a sweet girl apparently, hence no cava for me, @spike198 Actually Gary calls me sweetie and never uses my name really. Can't blame him because it's not an easy name to pronounce :P

And now, my beauties, I should start thinking of going to bed. My sleep is being affected a bit for this whole process, and I sure need any possible help I can get from the so called beauty sleep :P

Goodnight @Estibaliz pleasedream with our NOAs2 coming to us!

    You know Law of Attraction!

They might question you a little more than usual, but nothing you wouldn't be able to answer. It really depends on the officer. In all my times traveling to the US I've had one officer (before K1) that questioned me hard, other than that I've had positive experiences - most feel sorry for me that I'm going to Oklahoma City!

I'd bring the NOA1 and NOA2 with you and all documentation showing ties to home country. If you have the interview date thats even better to really show that you'll be going home. Its better to be over prepared before crossing.

What country are you traveling from? I'm not sure about obtaining a tourist visa during this process, as I don't need one.

Yeah I'm from Mexico, my tourist visa is still valid for 5 more years.

But yeah I will be carrying every single piece of information of our K1 and a letter from my employer saying I have to get back to work

  15. 6 minutes ago, kat.cap13 said:

You'll be fine. I've crossed and never had an issue. All I bring with me is my return ticket, any hotel bookings, travel insurance, Canadian bills, and a copy of the NOA1 to show I'm following the process. I've had random questioning but nothing out of the ordinary so just be completely honest with the officer.

Its important to show strong ties to your home country as your planning on immigrating soon, the officer wants to ensure you're following the immigration process (which you are).

    Goodluck!

I mean I have had trips to the USA to see my fiancee before while on the K1 without any trouble not even a question regarding the K1, but now if we have the NOA2? will it be diferent?

  16. Question to everyone that knows!

My fiance(petitioner) is a September baby too! We had plan a trip to LAX to meet up on his birthday, crossing my fingers that by that time we already have the NOA2 is there any problem with me entering the USA?

Im still working so I will have a letter from my company stating that I have to come back

Plus a returning ticket already purchased

    What do you guys think?

I just want to get him here at least to enjoy Thanksgiving with me and my family since Customs and Immigration messed that up for us last year when he tried to come visit me on his tourist visa and they decided to not let him through POE and cancelled the tourist visa altogether.

How come this happened? was he already applying for another visa and thats why they didnt let him through?
