When my hubby initially got Refused his K1Visa, I crossed from Juarez to El Paso International Airport for only $20 (November 2017), Omnibus located near ACS in Juarez. At that time there were only 2 departures one at 0800 and other in afternoon. You are taken to the boarder, depart with luggage then proceed to Immigration (at that time around 5 minutes), luggage run through x-ray like at airport, then board bus and wait for everyone else to board. (Note: initial K1 crossing will take longer, they CBP will ask questions, place I-94A documents in each person passport, date/stamp, maybe fingerprint, picture taken at boarder.) Airport in El Paso is very small, but went through Denver, CO to my destination. (I do know the other parent will have to consent for children departure and mom can pick up DHL package for children)
When my husband received his package from DHL I bought him ticket from Juarez to Tijuana, for CBX crossing (November 2018). You have to have boarding pass arriving to TJ and CBX ticket. ($20 at that time) in order to cross. It was 1 hour wait, he had family in San Diego waiting on other side for him. He was asked where he was going, state address and number. Took paper work given at Consular and explained on how K1 visa works, and could not depart country, until received Advance Parole. He had to get married with 90days.
For proof of income the consular will ask for IRS transcripts- bring the last 3 years of transcripts.
Hope this helps, as this was our experience.

No change in address. I happened to check my case and had new date.

We are March 1, 2019; just noticed they touch our case on 10/6/2020; still Scheduled for an Interview. No letter yet, it does not state Interview scheduled. Seems like we have the longest wait in country.

So I have been in waiting since April 2019 our Interview for Adjustment of Status. USCIS Seattle has long wait time.
I was able to resubmit Renewal combo card in April 29,,2020( 5-8.5 wait time) Since biometric was waived due to COVID-19 it’s took about 2 months 😉Received notice “Card being produced” on Jul 2,2020.
I checked last night . My husband:Approved. (1-131) Travel Document. On his Work Authorization(1-765)noticed date change of July 9, 2020; was able to view Combo Renewal Approval Notice online. His approval 7/2020- 7/2021. States in Progress, USCIS has accepted your application, petition, or request for processing. I know from last year it took about 8 working days to receive Combo card from when I recieved text. I hoping for the same . After reading this article, I hope it’s printing since it coming from Nation Benefit Center.! -

For those who had to renew their EAD/AP card was it a faster than the original wait? I am curios to know , nonetheless I know to expect a about 5 -7.5month wait. For some reason I thought 90 days but it’s actually up to 180 days to renew. I would done this sooner.

You can translate a letter or documents , just have letter of translation attached. I did this with my solo I-212. Note the hardship letter is
based on US Citizen/the petitioner not beneficiary; my fiancé then didn’t write a letter. I had to show proof of embassy requesting I-212, hardship letter ,both our birth certificates ( his with translation ) , evidences to proof of
residency of him in Mexico for more 10 years ( several for each year) I translated all documents and attached translation letter and evidences supporting your hardshipletter.
I hope this helps

Glad some people have interviews. My wait seem ridiculous long, anyone else here AOS Seattle? 11-23.5 months family based .
-
Yes it means send to that office, I too received a NOID for hubby I-212. I suggest you have proof of a signature from USPS or however you send it. For proof and your own verification and send before the deadline they state.
Make a cover letter with Attention : NOID/ Requested Evidences. Make a copy of letter given and place on top of submitted documents.

I too recieved an update that my
Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview
As of April 8, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number
I wonder how long this will be since Seattle seems to be a long wait 16.5- 21 months. I just want this interview ASAP. Does anyone know how long before we do get notice for interview or is this message just generic. My husband completed his Biometric 3/28/19.

My husband finally is recieving his Driver liscense from WA, he took the written test 5 weeks ago and the earliest driving test was today! ( Testing only done on Wednesdays nearest to our home) I was kinda of worried since his K 1 visa expired on 2/18/2019. After reading some posts -once K1 visa expired have to wait for EAD. All paperwork was done when he took written test to include his picture. Today test was less than 15 minutes, just payed for his driving liscense fee and provide a bill /proof of residency. I provide his Biometric appointment letter from USCIS since had his address and still had letter from Social Security since he got his number in January. * I forgot to update my married name on my Car registration , so I did that early before he took his Driving test. Good thing I already added him to my car insurance as spouse. Lovely ...Check engine light turned on during his test ; just our luck! Have to change O2 sensor now.
Does anyone know how long Biometric take in general? My husband last ACS in Mexico was about 15 minutes . Wondering if the same or longer process in states.
-
From your experience how long does Biometric appt take? Wow... from reading these post going to be a long wait for an interview.
-
Finally Got Biometric for 3/28/19. Now the wait .. Seattle seems to have a long wait for Interview. 17-20 months! Hopefully EAD/ AP doesn’t take long ; I think 6 months. Happy if it comes sooner.

Make copies of receipts via paid through debit or credit card. You should save boarding tickets for future, or future receipts when you do go places or eat out.
They will ask at interview, this is why you show your proof. Do collage of 5-6 pictures on one page. Make copies of passport to show entry/ exit of country. (Since yo didn’t save boarding passes) I also did screen shoots of conversation/ call& video log on WhatsApp, one per month- printed 6 on one sheet paper. I had boarding passes of 2 trips and showed them itinerary of next trip as well with receipt paid.

What’s your status? Hope all is good.

I know the feeling of having to wait especially when it’s around the holidays. I was happy he got before Thanksgiving, but had to wait after Veterans Day and following Monday. ( Mexican holiday- Consulate closed as well)
Keeping checking the CEAC site like a hawk, Watch for Any Update Date changes! Your almost there.
*Note even though on 11/15 stated Issued, on his Visa it stated 11/20 ( which was 2 working days later, 3rd day 11/21-received email to pick up package)
Is your husband waiting in Cuidad Juarez or did he select another city for DHL pick up? My fiancé was in Cuidad Juarez for 2weeks, 1 day. It was longer than expected stay.
-
Have you checked the CEAC site? Once my fiancé change to “Issued” it took 3 working days after from Issued when he recieved his packet. Is his under Administrative Process? If not try calling Consulate again. They usually say 2-10 working days.
-
I did the K1 visa for my fiance. I sent it to Phoenix Lockbox then it was sent to Nebraska, then to National Benefits Center (Fort Lee, MO) , then my case was sent to local Seattle USCIS. I ended recieving a NOID , resubmitted more evidences to local Seattle on 8/13/2018 * BUT * received an Approval from National Benifits Center on 8/21/18 for his I-212.
( It specifically says to send to Phoenix for K1; otherwise I would have sent to Seattle USCIS. It eventually got there. From start to finished/Approval it was 97 days.)
-
Did you get a waybill number from Consulate ; from there you can track in DHL website? I heard someone not get a Text/email and called the consulate for their waybill number. If it’s been that long call the Consulate.I sent my fiancé there to ask - generic reponse takes 2-10 working days to receive Visa. I have heard 2-3 working days. The waits seems forever.
-
Yes!!!!!, He will have to submit passport and medical - follow instructions to print off sheets so you don’t pay courier to send through DHL to Consulate. My fiancé had an approved I-212, no 2nd interview; submit passport and new medical as well. Recieved 11/9 at Consulate vía DHL. 11/13 noticed update date change in CEAC site. 11/14- Application recieved- 11/15 changed from Refused to “ Issued”; now just waiting for text/ email for waybill to pick up package to enter the US. Your almost there!
-
It varies from different USCIS locations - but usually local are much faster. I did solo I-212 on my own start to finish 97 days. Mine went to Nebraska then to National Benefits Center to local and recieved a NOID ( Notice is Intent to Deny) resubmitted more evidences and explanations and approved following not from local but from Nationa Benefits Center. I have seen those approved as 3 weeks- to over a year.
-
Fiance had 212a9c - he has already completed > 10 years. I submitted evidences he resided in Mexico, my hardship 16 page letter and 51 evidences to support it. Nothing wrong with it they wanted more of him residing in Mexico and explaining evidences.
5/15/18 sent to lockbox Az
5/22/18 sent to Nebraska
6/25/18 sent to National Benefits Center
6/26/18 local USCIS- Seattle
7/16/18 recieved NOtification to Intent to Deny (NOID) had date of 7/11/18- was given 30 days or 33 via mail to resubmit evidences and explain evidences .
8/9/18 mailed off 57 evidences *37 being new ones - and 5 pg letter to explain why I used my evidences.-
Local USCIS- Seattle receives 8-13/18- confirmed signature/ thru USPS
8/21/18 - Approval from National Benefits Center
~ still no approval at Consulate Ciudad Juárez- called ; we have to keep calling weekly until the get approval-I-212 for next steps/ process.
In I-212 the put out new evidences- I used BiethCertficates- retained receipts from official office- date, utilities bills that had his address/ dates. (CFE- showed history payments and dates 11 months on each utility bill, IMSS showing who he worked for, Letters of recommendations stating work, dates, payments, drivers liscense, INE card and dates issued, MoneyGram, fed ex- showing both address, uSPS showing both address his Mexico mine USA. If you can bank statements, credit card or IMSS historical work history showing has been in his country for 10 uear
ban, etc.
Where to file 601 waiver?
