My mom just attend her interview today and she is approved!
Thanks, so my workmate who told me we can apply her is wrong info?

My mom can do it online or she needs to go Us embassy to apply it personally?
  4. Thanks

Uzbekistan refusal rate for tourist visas is high, 50%. Focus her application on ties to her home. Don't say anything about caring for the baby. Good luck.

    Your mom.
You or your husband don't do anything. Its entirely on her.
  6. Thanks
Eignes1009 reacted to debbiedoo in Tourist visa for my mom
    Your mom has to apply.

There is NOTHING you can do to help the approval or to apply for her or anything. SHE has to do it and will be approved/denied based on her own merits. You will not play into the equation at all.

Don't listen to gossip or "tsismis" or second hand information.

Do your own research and use google.  This tells you everything you need to know. It is from the Embassy in Manila.  You can select English or Tagolog if needed, their is an option in the top right corner

Actually they will take into account relative living in the USA, it is asked when doing an Tourist Visa......

    And can work against her

No one is granted a tourist visa BECAUSE they have a relative in the states. It can also show immigrant intent. The mother will have to make a very strong case of her ties to her home and that she intends / HAS TO return

She fills in the application online then she has to go fo an interview at the embassy.

Do you have a letter on official letterhead saying you’re employed by them in X capacity and you’ll be back after your vacation? Do you have any other ties - spouse, house, etc?

    Don't worry homesick will come.

Once you get a week of clouds and dark day and cold weather and rain.  Seasonal Affective Disorder, or SAD will probably kick once winter sets in.  In your area it will be January/February time frame.

Just hold on it gets better once spring kicks in around April. and once summer kicks in full time in Oklahoma you will think Philppines had cool weather

    TRAVEL TAX

Before exiting the Philippines (after having the visa and CFO sticker in your passport) there is Travel Tax to be paid.   This can be paid at the counter at the front of the terminal before check-in.  P1,620 each adult, lower cost for a child.

The address you have on record with the embassy (USTRAVELDOCS) is where 2GO will deliver.  You could call 2GO about picking it up at there office.

Here is a list for 2GO locations:

221g is  more or less a temporary hold on your visa being processed/issued.   Usually something is missing or, they need more time to check on something.  I’m gonna assume you didn’t get a 221g since you don’t know what it was.  So that’s a good sign!  Good luck!
  23. Thanks
Eignes1009 reacted to lsu_mike in After interview in us embassy Manila
It takes a few days for them to get everything together and finalize all the documents.  Give it a few more days

No one knows.  Each case is different.   Just be patient and keep checking CEAC status daily (not hourly  )
  25. Thanks

My wife received hers in about 4 business days from the time it showed “ISSUED” on CEAC website.  She lived in Tacloban.
