As far as I’ve read, if you’re approved in your interview.. it takes a month for the green card to arrive in your mail but could be less or more! Really depends !
Really scary! I’m shocked when I saw my status change on the website !

From what I know spousal is faster in general. The visa itself can take about a year, but once you arrive in the US I believe you get the green card asap as well, so in the end spousal visa route is actually faster!

Hi! It went well! Filipino consul was concerned about my fiance never having lived in the US before despite being a citizen, but the American consul never even brought it up and they also never asked for affidavit of support. I think it helped that my fiance was with me during the interview as well.
When's your interview?

Camie reacted to Hank_ in DS-160 number is different from appointment letter
It isn't the embassy, it is the Dept of State, and it really isn't a bug ... not being able to edit certain vital info is more like a security feature. It can be done with a phone call to the embassy, and waiting.....
I am of the the 2nd option nature.. use a different email address and create a new profile. But in this situation I would not go there... at all.

Nope not a big deal on the DS-160. Just make sure to bring the confirmation page for the new DS-160 to the interview. As for the passport number you may want to call the embassy and ask that they clear that so you can enter the new info. But again, not a major issue, it can be updated during the interview. I will add contact info below.
Ya USTRAVELDOCS is screwed up in that area... only way to get around it is to use a different email address.. but you are past that moment in time.
Contacting the Embassy

Why dont you think it's a suffiecient time for an interview?
For Manila, the earliest interview dates I saw were Sept 12 onwards. Just today I scheduled my interview Sept 19, a week after my medical.
She might actually have time to do the interview in Taipei! Ask her to call the US Embassy over there

I submitted mine before it said "ready" as well. I received my NVC number in an email and it told me to fill out my DS160 at that time and my status only went to ready a week later. Everything worked out fine!!

I think you are correct. I just finished filing my DS-160 and I had to give the USCIS Receipt number because the form specifically said "USCIS" and not NVC case number...

Wow... there are quite a few snarky remarks these past couple of days. I have been busy so I haven't kept up as much. So... here's my snarky comment in addition to all the snark... because my level of don't-give-a-**** is off the chart these days....
This has been an incredibly calm, respectful, supportive, encouraging community. We vent, we share joy, we share sorrow, we share non-visa-related cool stories. I have REALLY appreciated all the comments. We're all cheering for one another and it's awesome. We all filled together and share a similar path.
@j N j You are not a February filer (by your timeline) but we welcome comments from all. However, I have a HUGE issue with someone coming into our forum and being disrespectful and negative toward my fellow February filers. So if you cannot be compassionate and understanding like the rest of us, I would ask that you please find another forum to troll. We got this... we got each other. We don't need your comments to the contrary. If you decide to continue following this forum, then please do so with respect.
I am sure others share my sentiment when I say that we wish you the best.
End of snarky-snark. Peace.

What is the point of this community if I cannot expect empathy? We are all here to help each other and to empathize and at the very least....sympathize if we ourselves have not experienced the situation...and downplaying anyone elses feeling or situation is NEVER a humane way of acting...so good for you...you've gotten over everything in life....wonderful...great for you...you my dear don't know me...or my situation or even the full reason why I am stressing....see being part of a community requires you think outside of oneself and consider what others are going thru and that yah...maybe they don't deal with things the way you do...
Or maybe they have so much stress in life anyways already..that they just don't have enough left to give to this kinda of stress....but coming off like your better and your just so elevated as a person...well...that doesn't taste good in anyones mouth...period.

Have you tried talking to Tier 2? I think after CSC received my service request (sent to them by Tier 2) that's when they worked on my case again. They emailed on August 15 saying they got the service request and will work on my case. Now I'm approved. Give it a try

Good afternoon everyone:
Heres an update on my case; NOA2 was August 23 just got off phone with NVC and I was given my case number. I need to transfer my case to Manila embassy as my fiancées contract ends on Oct 27. I don't think this is sufficient time to get interview by that date. I was advised to send email to NVC but now agent told me to send email to Manila embassy. I read info onliner requesting tax return and affidavit of support form. Any other documents that anyone is aware of that I need. Do you think it is wise decision to transfer case to Manila or is it remotely possible for her to get interview before Oct 27. Any input is greatly appreciated... thanks

Oh my gosh. Everytime someone says theyre still waiting for NOA2, I tell them so am I and then days later they come back here to say they've been approved. I'm happy for the couples, of course. ❤️ But I also can't help but wonder, "Okay, when will it be my turn? Surely my petition has been approved when we've all petition in the same month and got RFEs the same time?" it really sucks because you can show so much proof and still take forever to get approved. I've been with my fiance for 5 years since we became friends in college. That still wasn't enough proof for them to approve me within 2-4 weeks. It's been
NEVERMIND I CHECKED MY USCIS CASE TRACKER TO CHECK HOW MANY DAYS ITS BEEN AND IT SAYS WEVE BEEN APPROVED!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOD???? I HAD NO IDEA THE CASE TRACKER WORKS TO NOTIFY YOU AFTER RFE. DONT MOST PEOPLE JUST GET MAIL? MY HEART IS BEATING SO FAST I CANT BELIEVE IT. I THINK CALLING TIER 2 EVERY WEEK HAS PAID OFF. THE LAST OFFICER I SPOKE TO WAS REALLY NICE AND TOLD ME HE SYMPATHIZES. WE WERE ON THE PHONE FOR 20 MINUTES CAUSE HE WAS TRYING TO REASSURE ME IT'D BE OK.
IM JUST SO HAPPY I CAN FINALLY MOVE ON WITH MY PETITION AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
