This happened to our 130 as well. It was transferred from TSC to NBC then to local. Didn’t quite hit a year, but close enough. I then involved congress office, we received another RFE for more evidence of bonafide marriage and then 2 weeks later it was approved. If you haven’t contacted your congress office, you should try. But our 130 was pending a few days short of a year.

Sorry to hear you’re 130 is taking so long. But from my experience with our petition, there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Mind you, the current situation has somewhat stalled the system a bit. Our 130 took 1 year for approval and this was after 2 RFE’s. Like yours, it was also transferred to local office, and then we received RFE for more evidence of bonafide marriage, we submitted evidence and 2 weeks later it was approved. Since you already went to the senator, try congress office. That’s what we did. In the meantime, have you called and asked to speak to tier 2 officer?

So we should pay attention to the entry stamp at the airport and make sure when GC arrives it states IR1?

Hello...I haven’t been on here for sometime. Needed a mental break.
 

Hope everyone is staying sane during these times.

My question is, between the time of my husbands Visa Interview (Refused-waiver needed) and when the waiver is approved and he has to go back to Embassy, we will have passed our 2 year anniversary. When the visa is issued will DOS automatically issue the IR-1 instead of CR-1? Thanks for the help!

Hello, I did not include my husbands name anywhere as it is not required. And yes, I filed by mail. It was accepted by IRS, NVC and Embassy.

The only marriage certificate you would attach is for a current marriage. If you are divorced you must attached the official divorce decree translates and certified if it’s not in English

That is why I 130 got approved next day and they even expedited all the NVC process at my country's embassy. So my daughter has an interview in 2 weeks at the embassy and we just need to bring all the documentations NVC required there.  I just had to do her DS 260 for her. so we are almost done and can be there for Christmas,  It was a long process... Thank you for all your help. I am very happy for you and your husband, too!!

Oh how exciting!! There was never any reason for her 1-130 to take this long. The spousal petitions I understand the wait, but your child, no. So I am glad they expedited through NVC as well. This entire process is very long and draining. It just makes us much stronger in the end when it’s all done, we can finally say, “we did it!” Good luck at the interview and let me know when you are on your way. 🙏🏼

We finally received our interview date, 12/12. We submitted all our documents on 9/18, and were DQ on 10/31...where are you in the process?

It will cause a delay. Your better off holding on to it until after your interview. 

So our embassy requires us to register our appointment. However when I log in at aid.usvisa-info.com as directed to complete the process it states the message below. Anyone else receive this message or know anything about this?

All documents are submitted electronically via ceac. Documents are no longer mailed. And you do not need to attach a cover letter.

Hi guys! Has anyone called NVC and gotten any good verbal updates after your DQ in regards to how long until your interview is scheduled?  I’m just wondering if I should call or if it will just be a dead end.  I’ve seen previous cases at same embassy (Argentina) get the IL within a week. You get all excited from getting DQ and boom...you start losing the patience once again.
