As per nvc, Present and former residents of the United States do not need to submit any U.S. police certificates. Any other countries (if different from nationality) more than 12 months and her current residence (if different from nationality) for more than 6 months

You can also setup an account with USPS to monitor all mails coming to your house which will be a good idea for you case. Hopefully, somebody is not messing with your mail. Good Luck

Pavel1982 got a reaction from Michael2017 in NVC Documents required
it refers to 18(b) on I-864. Although it is optional but it is good to submit those. I know, in several occasion, visa office looked into last 3 years tax transcript during interview. It is better to be safe than sorry since it is easy to download those from IRS website

Pavel1982 got a reaction from kareng5 in April 2017 I-130 Filers
When they say "through other means" that has to be IR1/CR1 since they closed K3. I would suggest you to create a profile on USCIS website, add your case number and then sign up for SMS and email alerts on approval. You will not have to worry about calling USCIS or anything. You will get alerts as soon as status changed. I have applied for my wife, mom, brother and sister. I have created a profile on USCIS and added all those cases and signed up for SMS and email alerts. So far everything went ok. I got alerts through SMS and email on every approval

Yes. USCIS now prefer IR1/CR1 rout than K3. So, first they close K3, then approved I-130 to push it for IR1/CR1. That's why I have said that they are reviewing the case and will get approval any day unless they is any rfe

Case complete here too! Scan date Aug 8 and case complete Sept 21. I called NVC an hour ago. The woman I talked to said the interview might be in November, just fine with me. I just can't believe we are through NVC without any RFE:s or other problems...I am so happy or should I say WE are both so happy and next step is medical and interview..and today it is Friday..*happy*.....I hope all of you who waits for a case complete soon will get the good news! I wish you all best luck!

Pavel1982 got a reaction from RB&CB in Online Marriage
I agree with others on this that making such a huge decision about a person whom you did not meet in person is a very bad idea. Why don't you meet him in a third country (Dubai or another other country) and spend some quality time and make sure that he is the right person for you. Then you guys can get engaged there and apply for K1 (Fiancé Visa) and get married in USA
