It's been really tough and $h!t for me, if I'm honest. Had a great couple of months and then he's turned into some kind of control freak who is hell bent on blaming everything on me. I live with him in a basement, (I've been sick for almost 2 months because of the conditions, poor food quality,) he won't file for the AOS because he hasn't done his taxes and other reasons he won't say, and he's spent all the money his mother gave us in July to file for the AOS. Keeps telling me that he spent it on me but none of it adds up. 😞 He's tried setting me up for under the table jobs he knows I can't do and then I'm labelled a bad person for not taking them.
 
So, I'm pretty sure I'm illegal now and I'm really nervous about it. I'm also not sure what to do and if this is even the right thread for this. 
I'm a mess. I really didn't expect any of this and I'm really scared about what to do or what I can do. I sure as hell can't afford to eat, let alone pack all my stuff and my cat to go back. 
I gave up everything for him. Home, job, family, friends...
 
I'm really scared, guys. I cry every day because I don't know what to do. 😭
 

After more than a year and a half of waiting my fiancé has finally been approved!! 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you to everyone for their help and encouragement along the way...there were days I seriously doubted this would ever happen! 😊

Not sure if anyone checks in here anymore from our old group but we are finally getting married in May! What a long and winding road it’s been to get here! Next step...more paperwork of course! Hope everyone is doing well!

Our son turned 4 on Feb 21, so 1 day difference in birthday from his little sister.  Given both were almost born on the same day my friends joked that 9 months before must be my birthday 🙈

To anyone who still checks in with this group, interview is scheduled for 1/16!! We are finally getting to the end of this long process...can’t believe we started this in 2017 and will finally be finishing it in 2019!! 🎉

Yes finally!!! Next step is medical and interview...anticipating POE end of January or early February

No News about AOS, filed April 6 2018 and been "ready for interview" for a while.  Unlike the i-129f I have no intentions to write the President about this one.  💋

So good to see updates from everyone here in the old neighborhood.
 
Paul got his green card last month, and we had our traditional wedding reception with friends and family on October 6. Family from Sweden was able to come and it was magical!
 
Feels good to be somewhat "normal" for a change! Paul is actively looking for work, working on the driver's license now, and are super pumped about having our first holidays together in person.

My status changed to "New Card Being Produced" so I'm hoping I'd get mine soon. 😊
 
 
I do hope you get the interview soon! I really don't think it's gonna be that long of a wait. Anyway, at least you have your EAD! 😊

My husband filed for all AOS docs on March 19th, and he received his EAD/AP combo card the first week of September.  Our field office is currently interviewing GC applicants from summer 2017, so we likely have 8-12 months left before anything moves on that.

a quick update: we got married on May 4th, AOS May24th, case is ready to be scheduled for an interview since 97days, no EAD, no AP so far...
Patience is the magic word🙄

Hello all, have not been on for a while.  These months have just gone by quickly; in short all is well my wife came here April 13th, we were married on the 27th of May, AOS in June, Biometrics Aug, and yesterday approved for 2 year Green Card.  Hope all is going well for you all.

We have a somewhat similar time line. I arrived here on April 11th and got married on April 14th

We were approved for conditional Green card before we received EAD or AP.  which took 4 months for us, but each location is different, we were lucky to live in a state that processes quickly.  Looking at VJ it looks like EAD is taking about 145 days currently.    AOS for nation is averaging 310 Days and for Florida it depends on your local office and the last Hurricane may slow down processes fro some locations.  https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php

Well... Paul and I got married on Saturday!!
 
Obviously, we intended on getting legally married prior to our traditional wedding, which isn't until October. But it was still spontaneous. We got the marriage license pretty fast on Friday and I joked that we could technically get married over the weekend if we wanted to. Turned out we found someone who would do it the very next day, so my parents joined us at the local botanical gardens in town and we did it! I cried like a baby LOL
 
I know we still have a long road ahead of us before all of this is behind us (AOS still to go), but something about being tied to one another this way gives us so much relief. We gave ourselves the long weekend to enjoy it... but now it's back to work LOL lots of office visits we'll need to do during the week and AOS paperwork to file. I will be so glad when we get past this next hurdle.
 
 
Side note/funny story: apparently a few other folks were getting married on Saturday at the same gardens we were at, and we kept being mistaken for the wrong wedding party.  "Are you here for the wedding?" ... "Yes!" .... *wrong bride & groom*.

Was pretty straightforward getting me through passport control. Took longer to get Ed, my cat, cleared. 
Landed at about 6pm local time, got home at 1130pm. 
May the 4th tomorrow. Our day. His sister is going to be our witness then it's off out for a celebration meal. Doing nothing fancy. This process has killed our wallets so just a courthouse job for us. It's the same piece of paper and means the world to us.
