Oh, did they ask for the invoice number there? I only knew you need the WAC number as your receipt number for DS-160.

Are you already working on it? Yay :)

    No, not yet :)

But somebody I know had to call NVC just today to ask for their invoice number, because she thought it's useless and didn't write it down.

You never need the invoice number, since K1's pay at their respective embassy. You need the WAC or Embassy case number.. there is a field on the DS160 where you can fill out either.

Unless they've changed the form (again) since you filed!

Thank you for your post and your "message from the past!"

Its sweet to see and read from someone who has done it all and is happy now! :)

    Good luck for your future!

    Thank you😜

You can ask your fiance to call early in the morning, time when people at NVC arent busy yet. I hope you get yours next time you call!😃

    Thank you! :)
I've called myself a couple of times, at different times of the day, and I never was on hold longer than 5 minutes. I was afraid of waiting lines for 30+ minutes! Lucky me in that case! :)

Thank you for crossing the fingers! :)

Ive been reading and following this thread almost evryday since the day of our filing, march 10. We  got our NOA2 on the 23rd of june, had the NVC Number on the 12th of july and now just waiting for our case to be READY so we can move on to the next step. I just would like to thank you all for inspiring me and lifting up my spirit whenever i can read all your thoughts and silly conversation sometimes just to get by the day while waiting. Today i am realy so happy because i realy can feel how close the day me and my fiance will see each other again. Just so proud how calm and patient he is along the way. I will never forget this journey and cant wait to start my forever with him, soon. Wishing you all the best and goodluck to everyone who is still in this process.

    Congratulations!! :D
We have the same NOA2 date, and our case is already at the NVC, but still no number. I hope we'll get ours as well! :D

So you finally have your case number 😀😀😀🍻🍻🍻🥂🥂🥂🎉🎉🎉

    No, not yet!
The case is at NVC since Tuesday, but no number yet. I'm hoping for next week! :)

I'm interested when you'll get the email. Still no email for us. Also, curious how fast it'll go for you since you are one of the few electronic cases. I'm guessing electronic cases are country specific if all German applicants are electronic ones.

I think so! But I had no clue about that stuff either! I didn't know it exists haha

See, it pays off to be stubborn, sometimes! Congrats :D

    Thank you! :D:D
Now I'll wait until my tonight to see if Scott got the email with the number. Otherwise I'll call again tonight and then on Monday! :)

@Eric&Olya: No other Germans here, but it's posted in the German subforum. Although all active users right now are ahead of me :)

How will you know if you're one of the electronic cases? :((

The operator told me on the phone, after I tried option 5.
But I got told in the German subforum that all Germans are electronic cases.

Oh I had that too. I was so worried they'd find a tumor or anything. I'm sure you will be okay! And so will OP.

I'm from the Gouda - Rotterdam area. Less touristy haha but yes, it's a great country ^_^

Ahh nice! I always wanted to go to Rotterdam to see the harbor! :)
My friends are in Den Haag and Hardenberg!

Thank you! I do hope so! Fortunately the clinic I will have the medical at has walk in hours. So as soon as NVC has a number for our case I'll run there the next day! :)
They got the petition since Tuesday, so it should be next week!

Bitte! It's honestly not that bad. They can see the difference between smoke damage and tuberculosis scarring or spots very well.
But yes, I can relate to the feeling. I was happy to get it over with too (since I have a TB history)

Oh yeah, then you can relate.
I was not concerned until I've read somewhere that lung tumors are mostly without symptoms and are mostly found by accident once the chest gets xrayed for other reasons! Since then - and that was in late March - my brain is driving me nuts. I'll finally be able to allow myself to look forward to moving stateside, once that is out of the way.
Fortunately no TB history for me.

Side question: Where in the Netherlands are you from? :) Great country; I have some very lovely friends there!

  8. 1 hour ago, Dutchster said:

Don't worry too much. I smoked for ten years before I quit in December of 2015. My x-ray in June 2016 came out just fine, they even said they look healthy.
The only thing the panel physician asked was, "Do you smoke cigarettes?" "No, but I used to. I quit about a half a year ago." "That's really good!" and we continued the list of questions.

    Dankjewel for encouraging. :)
I'm smoking for the double time you did, and I hope it still will be fine. If I'm lucky I get to have my medical next week, so I'll finally have these tons of rocks off my shoulders.

😂 alles gut, bitte gerne 😉

Jippiiiee - progress! :)

Good luck with your medical :)

i cant wait to get mine done as well , i cant concentrate to my everyday life .

    I know!
Although it's unlikely since I don't feel sick (at least not more than usual) I'm freaking out since we sent the petition in March :D
I hope my medical will happen next week, so I can get that rock off my shoulders.

Good luck for you as well! Chin up!

Ah maybe that is just the thing needed to get things moving along!  Luis is planning on clearing out of his apartment this weekend so he can spend the last few weeks at his families house. Peru is definitely a little more lax on giving notices to apartments and such lol

Yeah, he's lucky! I actually have to give notice 3 months before I'd plan on moving out - same with the job - but I made a deal with work for a spontaneous leaving, since I told them 2 months ago already, and my landlord is a lovely lady and she lets me out with a month notice also. But now, since it's kinda close I have to make a point to not be stuck for another month. So... no risk no fun.
My place is in clearing as well... the poor ladies at the leasing office in Newport News probably hate me already, since my giant moving boxes are dropping in one after the other haha

Thank you!!!  I can't believe it is interview time - literally one month ago is our NOA2 notice!

I hope you get your NVC info soon so you can get that medical out of the way!!!

Luuuuucky! But I'm so happy for you!
Yeah, I'm hoping for next week. Since I made the countdown tick for my apartment I'm hoping for the best haha.
I'll be some homeless german bum on the way to VA lol

We had Luis' medical last week while I was there - he is a good healthy Peruvian! :)  He picked up the medical packet last week....AND his interview is TOMORROW!!! Ahhh I am going to be super anxious the next 24 hours!!

    Weeeeeelcome back!
Good to see you on here again! :D
