Argh, THANK YOU! You just fulfilled the weirdo accurate German's calling inquiries, haha! Dankjewel! Je hebt me gered!
5 minutes ago, KozmicBlues said:"because I'm a weirdo and a German" haha, you're funny!!! Don't worry, I'm sure they talk to plenty of American weirdos on a daily basis so you will fit right in with the call queue
Haha I know... Scott picks on me all the time for being so super accurate and GERMAN... while his American laid back-ness is ARGHING me hahaha -

yes you can call too. I didnt bcause it would cost too much. But ofcours you can call too
Thank you Wilma!
Hm I guess I'll take advantage of that tomorrow.
If it's that pointless to wait for a mail or so.
I just need to know what I have to ask them, because I'm a weirdo and a German and hate doing things I don't know about -

Ok no sorry I was confused because the previous post said to have your DOB and NVC# ready but I thought the point of calling was to get the NVC#.... wouldn't you quote the WAC# or A# ? @GazLisa
Nah... I was asking Gary if they need the WAC number, and he said they ask for the NVC#, which we don't have yet.
So that's why I asked what to say then -

Yes you need your WAC number and get asked question like bday ..
Do you know if the beneficiary can call?
Scott's work time sucks for this, and at work he either isn't allowed to use a phone, or he's in some bunker like building with no signal -

Don't stress too much over the CXR, I still remember covering this in school how TB has a unique view and looks different from other lung disease, and a radiologist can spot it fairly quickly. Some subjective signs of TB are general malaise in last few weeks, or dry cough, or weight loss. These are qualification questions that may indicate to look further for TB. Since they are looking for communicable diseases (like TB), and most likely anything you could have as a result of smoking is not going to be communicable - just opacities and calcifications.
I'm not worried about TB at all... I'm worried about evil things that are found accidentally....
I've read lung tumors are mostly without symptoms and mostly get spotted accidentally once you have a chest xray for other reasons.
That's what I'm freaking about. Although it's unlikely. But I have hypochondria tendencies... so my brain is going nuts, and I'll be so relieved once it's done. -

Hello just wondering aren't you calling to get the NVC#?
I guess we will now.
Was relying on infos that they are going to mail the number anyways.

603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 they ask Scott for his or yoit date of birth and your NVC case number not WAC
But what do you say?
You call and ask "Did you already receive our case from USCIS?"
And then they ask for your NVC number, and then you say "Sorry, I don't have one yet?"
Or how is that going?

Hasn't he tried calling NVC 😵🤔
Nah, we're waiting for the eMail.
As far as I've heard once they actually HAVE it they send it out. So it doesn't matter if we call or not. Either they have it, or not.
Plus, he hates being on the phone and I don't want to bug him to hang in a waiting line forever. PLUS... his worktimes are not very cooperative with office hours. -

I couldn't believe there was a date available so soon lol 😂 a week after my medical too ☺️ are you still waiting for your exam
Yeah, still no NVC number. I hope Scott will receive the email by the end of this week. Our NOA2 is dated with June 23rd, so it should be due!
I hope... told my boss already: Once I have the number, next day I'll be off work, racing to Frankfurt!
6 minutes ago, KozmicBlues said:I totally understand the paranoia also. My fiance had TB several years back when he was in school...he went through many months of treatment and made a full recovery. But I'm worried it will come up as scarring or something on his chest x-ray and prompt further testing. Fingers crossed it will go through smoothly for all of us!!
Argh, yes! I can feel the worries!
I never had anything to do with TB (fortunately), but I'm 37 and smoking. And hypochondriac. I just want it to be over!
5 minutes ago, Wilma77 said:haha yes spruiten Not sure if you get those in the US lol. Havnt looked
Maybe we can go around same day to share notes
I think I saw spruiten in the grocery store.
I also found Grolsch beer at Farm Fresh haha
No Hertog Jan though, and no Vla... and no Paashaas and Paaskeuken haha I'm totally playing all Dutch skills i have, since my friends only teach me the "bad" stuff. -

I totally understand.
I do smoke and am paranoided out by this. I just want it to be done. After the medical I can finally look forward.

anyone got there interview dates yet? Im so impatient i guess
i just want it all to go by now and get it done with. So worried about the medical i dont sleep well
Same here. I'm paranoid for the lung xray.
I don't care so much about the rest; that'll happen and be fine sooner or later. But medical... As soon as I have the number and run there the day after, just to have these rocks off my shoulders. -

@TearsOfBabylon and @Estibaliz I'm very happy for this sisterhood/brotherhood among all of us March filers. It's something I'll always cherish
Me too! I like the spirit!
Hopefully we'll kind of stick together for the nervewrecking next step: AOS -

I'm sure you'll get your case number super soon
I cannot schedule an interview till early August because my interview date is August 24th (only date my embassy assigned
). I'm sure most of you will get the visa and fly to the US before me.
I'm expecting my interview in about the 3rd week of August. IF things go smoothly.
What's your plan for flying? -

About obtaining your case number from NVC... Try to call on the 7th day. You might be in luck because we got ours on the 7th day and I started to track the case file thereafter. The best time to call NVC with little to zero traffic is first thing they open in the morning and 10 pm or 11 pm onwards EST time.
Like a crazy woman, I stalked the tracker on a daily basis and found out the exact day the case file was marked as 'In Transit' and 'Ready'. Once it shown as 'Ready', I took the initiative to e-mail my embassy's consular section to inquire about the Packet 3, which they promptly sent to me and I completed swiftly to send them the payment and appointment confirmation pages
I wish everyone all the best
@Estibaliz I can't wait to hear about your NOA2
Woooow, you really went on the fast lane with the NVC!
I hope we'll get ours this week, so I can finally run to the medical. I care less about pack 3, I just want this to be done! -

I was just thinking...
I have to say I love being around all of you March people, sharing this whole journey. I love my April people too, so calm, patient and cute, but you are like that older sibling you can look up to and follow their steps 😊
I might have been a March filer too, but we decided to wait till I left the States to include the i94 in the package... So with me leaving the 26th, Gary being busy with work and USPS delaying things, we ended up in April.
Maybe things do happen for a reason
You're in good hands here! And you're a March filer in heart!
I can only speak for me, but I'm happy our path crossed! :*- Estibaliz, AnJ Co and Patricia & Ola

Does NVC send an email or do we wait for the hardcopy in the mail? We are planning to call NVC this week although i don't mind waiting another week or so since our NOA2 date is June 28.
Calling this week would be too early, I guess. I've read about an average of 21 days for them to process it. Our notice date is June 23rd, so we should be "due" by the end of this week.
As far as I know they send an email with the number.
We won't call, because I don't want to have Scott hanging in a waiting line for 45 frustrating minutes to end with no result.
If you learn on the phone that you've got a number, then the email would be out that day as well. So - for my feeling - no need to call. -

This is interesting... For some reason, I thought about everyone here had a MyUSCIS account with the enabled text and email notifications... So now I'm wondering how many of you actually did have it from the start and still didn't get notified of Approval, but found NOA2 in the mailbox.
@TearsOfBabylon, @Yzabelle, @GazLisa, @Alysia&Luis, @KULtoATL
Good morning from Germany!
I didn't sign up for MyUSCIS, and I don't think Scott did.
Would be a miracle, since he avoided USPS Informed Delivery as well
So we oldschoolish waited for the hardcopy. Just like now... no calling, just waiting for the eMail from NVC. -

I know, haha. Scott is sooooooo suuuuuuper laid back and PATIENT haha.
I'm one of the most patient patients here at the whiners, but compared to him I'm hysteric hehe
Uhm, does anyone have a clue about their office hours?
I don't find anything on the homepage (or am too blind).
Since it's Scotts timezone it's 5:40pm there...
Can I still call?
