did a lawyer represent you at the trial?

I wrote here sometime ago about getting scammed by a Frenchman who was seeking gay relationships during our short marriage. My annulment has just been granted and I want to thank everyone here for their support. It has been a very long road, but justice has prevailed in my situation. If you are a victim of immigration fraud, please don't give up. If you're having doubts about the intentions of your partner like I did, please investigate and keep digging until you have answers.

My question concerning a withdrawn i-864 is if USCIS gives a confirmation of it being withdrawn. In my case I withdrew it, but I never heard anything, but I know that everything was denied in my case which is great but a confirmation would be nice to have.

OP, from time to time we get people on VJ who are good souls hurt by bad decisions. It's hard to see.
But when you see those good souls get through the bad times, come out the other end and start on a path that will get them the happiness they deserve, it makes me smile.
I hope that good times now find you. 🙂
Thanks I'm positive, and I believe in karma and I was fortunate that I caught this issue before my ex was granted a green card. This was bad enough,
and its getting better each day. I just can't wait for the judge to grant my annulment so that I can finally be free of all of this. All of the support is amazing,
and it's sad for me to be judged in this situation when all I did was open my heart to someone who I thought loved me. If he loved men he should have been
honest and pursued a relationship with men. I was deceived on many levels, not just about his sexuality but religious beliefs, and everything he portrayed about his life and family as well. It's all sad, but these moments shouldn't define our lives. I'm happy that I have a good life and support of my family and friends. I'm slowly but surely repairing those connections that I lost because of this situation.

I wanted to thank everyone for their support, it's been such a whirlwind for me and my family! I retained an attorney not long after this happened to begin my annulment, it was filed before Christmas
Definitely a nice gift to begin to move on with my life!! My ex's ESTA indicates he's longer eligible for the Visa Waiver program, and his interview was cancelled yesterday, applications to adjust his status have been denied as of today! I have not received any paperwork acknowledging that my affidavits were withdrawn yet- but I will follow up, I know its complicated with the shutdown. I'm glad I acted quickly, and the government did as well! I feel free of all of the stress and many issues I dealt with during the marriage, and I'm getting past the anger over the betrayal and taking time to pamper myself and enjoy life with my family and once the annulment is done I have plans to take several wonderful vacations around the world now that I have one less person to support financially

What action are you hoping they will take? Your husband has left the country. Once he is out of the country there is nothing USCIS can do. And even if they did do something, what benefit would it bring you? Focus on the future for you, not revenge because of the past.
I want to make sure that he doesn't put anyone else through this. I do think of other victims, and I wouldn't wish this on anyone else.

Well it may come into play, depends on what basis he would seek to re enter.
Actually there is somebody from the UK in AP at the moment who was seeking a second K1, presumably they are checking the details of the last one.
If looked to come over on a work visa for example, less relevant.
I'm sure there must be questions as to the reason the first one didn't work or perhaps the system is not that sophisticated.
-
Since he left before AP is USCIS keeping record of that as well?

Ahh the Misinformation line, that would explain it.
I guess with my letters going everywhere I should be covered. I received an automated letter from 2 sources via email- maybe I'll see some responses after Christmas.

Well he has an A number and everything will be linked into that so not sure what the French Consulate would add, if he applies for another visa the all his Immigration history will be on file.
Withdrawing the I 864 makes sense, the I 129F does not.
The customer service person mentioned if the I-129 F is withdrawn there's no basis for the I-485 so it would be automatically denied.. Someone mentioned emailing the border patrol as well with his passport #.

I was under the impression he had left? If so nothing much to deal with.
He did leave but USCIS advised me to withdraw the I-129F and I-864 as well as report him. I was also told to report him to the embassy in France as well in case he attempts this stunt again, they will have record of it.
-
Now the shock of all of the recent events has worn off, and I've filed requests to withdraw myself from the I-129F and I-864, should I expect any sort of notice from the USCIS?
I've also submitted the Immigration Fraud Report as well via email. I emailed my letter to the CSC to be sure they received my letter. This morning my annulment papers were
officially filed, so it's a nice early Christmas gift to get rid of this issue and begin to move onto better things. I'm also curious if anyone can tell me how the USCIS will deal
with reports of fraud.

Let's hope that future birthdays are better.
Keep us apprised as events unfold.
Thanks!
It looks like his I-131 approval letter arrived yesterday dated after he already left the country. From what I understand his denial letter for AOS and all other documents should be on the way. Meanwhile my annulment will be filed first thing in the morning!

Their address is
U.S. Department of Homeland Security
CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER
24000 Avila Road
Lagina Niguel, CA 92677They do have a fax: (949) 389-3441 but I am not sure if that is used for those type requests.
It doesn't hurt to fax them as well.
-
I was told to withdraw my I-24F form at the CSC, I'm planning to the letter by mail and email it as well to ensure they receive it.
-
Does anyone have an email address that I can send documents through to the CSC ?
-
I would to know if anyone can direct me to an email address of the US Embassy in Paris, I will send them documents
by regular mail and I want to ensure they are received electronically as well.

That is something different, altogether. Yes, that is a Mr Obvious statement!
Did you try calling the center as outlined to see what they recommend? That would be my next stop
Yes I called and they said they would give me the same info that I received

You have to keep trying. It might be 2 weeks before an appointment is available. I suggest trying around mid-night, or extremely early in the morning. This can be a challenge sometimes.
So this message is typical:
Important office information
This office is not accepting walk-in requests or scheduling InfoPass appointments.
-
On the USCIS website I tried 2 different offices and they don't seem to be accepting appointments or walk ins, any idea why or what I should do??

Don't count on the mail. Take your withdrawal letter to a USCIS InfoPass appointment and hand it to an officer. Get a receipt, if possible, or at least the officer's name.
I agree I tried asking customer service for an appointment and she told me they would give me the same information. She also told me to withdraw my i29 F form an I could mail it to the same office that approved it.

has there been an interview yet?, or an approval for the adjustment of status?
if neither of those have happened there is a chance but you will need to send a letter to the lockbox you mailed your petition to and attach the case # you were given to it.
if, there has already been an interview, and your spouse has his/her conditional green card, you are not going to be able to pull the affidavit of support.
we would need more information at where you are in the process.
There has not been an interview the website says the case is ready to be scheduled for an interview as of November 20th but nothing has been received in the mail.

I would like to withdraw support, the USCIS Customer Service person didn't know if its possible. The police told me
that I would be able to, and I've read here as well. Can someone tell me how to go about this?
Annulment Granted for Fraud
in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
Posted · Edited by lanalexis
My ex fiancé (not ex husband since the marriage legally never happened) was not present nor did he contest, he avoided all correspondence from my lawyer. He was not a resident when I filed for an annulment, he was awaiting his temporary residency interview and he had no travel privileges nor a work permit and he fled once he was caught. I contacted USCIS and withdrew all paperwork as soon as this happened, and an annulment states the marriage never happened. I'm not responsible for him under these circumstances. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through any of this!
