Hi All, it's been a while since I have posted here. I hope everyone is doing well. Firstly, I hope everyone waiting for I-360 approval gets the good news soon. :)

    I have a quick question:

I have been a green card holder for 3 years based on approved VAWA and it's to apply for naturlization.  Can someone please tell me what documents do I need to send along with N400? I have gone through the checklist, but still want to check and make sure I don't miss something. Appreciate the help :)

Same here with you on my upcoming N400 application which I intend to file online.

To everyone still in process, please don’t lose hope, my case was super complicated, I had no lawyer and filed everything myself. Now here I am filing for citizenship. We will all pull thru this process. Sometimes I pull out my green card and tears just flow. Sleepless nights, stress and fear to get this far. Our help is in the Name of the Lord 🙏🏽

    Hello vawa family.

Recently i sent some additional documents at Vermont though They didn’t asked for any RFE. Hoped additional docs could will help my vawa case.
Today i got a status update on my vawa saying RFE response are received and uscis begun working on my case again. Surprisingly they never asked for any RFE and my case status also not showing which date rfe is issued. Do you think is there anything to worry? Is the status got changed because of that?

I think it might have been good timings on your part to submit extra information without a request but maybe in the system it's to alert you that they got your documents

@Weldonboy This matter needs legal attention/intervention! Mere advise and suggestions here may not be enough! I read through the narrative and USCIS intent and understood that you confessed to sham marriage. This matter is very serious. It is time to get a lawyer if you believe USCIS has the wrong information or that there is a mix up somewhere! You need God now and a great attorney!🤔

I read thru the noid and it appears the applicant agreed to every claim pushed towards him and that is what some USCIS officers wish. Pure intimidation - 🤦🏼‍♂️. Like you mentioned it will take God and a good lawyer to fix it. Plus a very detailed personal affidavit rejecting some of the claims will help. Looking into a waiver might also help. I'm just figuring out some options 🤔

If you have money for an attorney I would go that route. Some congress  people don't answer immigration requests. That depends on the state. I don't understand how some people here are talking about patience and staying humble and not bother USCIS and normalizing 3, 4 years waiting time. The fact that we are being treated like secondary human beings doesn't mean we need to act this way.

I surely do understand the frustration in this process. You also have to understand that it's solely not the responsibility of USCIS to work on cases but relies on other agencies like the FBI to conduct positive background checks. If the USCIS is stuck at that point I have no idea how a lawsuit will speed the process. But do not hesitate to file one if the need calls for it.

It is Wednesday and therefore time for our Half-Official Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke:

    ------------

A drunk was brought into a police station.  He pounded his fist on the counter and said, "I want to know why I've been arrested!"

The sergeant said, "You have been brought in for drinking."

The man said, "Oh, that's all right, then -- let's get started!"

    :P

    The jokes always work🍺🍺🙏🙏🥳🥳🥳

Congrats on all recent approvals. Those still in the pipeline please don't loose hope, your day will surely come no matter how long it takes🙏🙏🙏.

Here is a joke to tide all of us over until the Official Weekly Joke:

    --------------------------

A drunk was brought into a police station.  He pounded his fist on the counter and said, "I want to know why I've been arrested!"

The sergeant said, "You have been brought in for drinking."

The drunk said, "Oh, that's all right, then.  Let's get started!"

    :P

These jokes surely work. Those still waiting for an approval or any kind. Please laugh of the stress. 😊😊😊

They finally sent the receipt notice. First time I see USCIS processing an a renewal EAD based on asylum for Free because I filed i485 . Normally EAD based on pending asylum cases are processed differently from EAD based on pending i485. Usually EAD filed on pending i485 are free but those on pending asylum are payable. But this Time, they returned my check and processed it for free. This is good news ☺️

Yes I'm happy to hear this and saved you some $$ too. You should get your ead card within a couple of weeks. Have a blessed day 😊😊🙏🙏🙏

Thank you. I get that. I sent my i360 to Vermont in October 2019 and my i485 was sent to Irving Texas November 2020 (this was a mistake. Someone here advised me that since i am in proceedings i don't have to send i485 to Vermont but to a special USCIS location Irving Texas which was wrong). I have a lawyer yes, but i always renew my EAD based on asylum myself but this Time i got this rejection notice i don't know if it's because of the i485 fee or for any other reason. They sent my check back but kept my application. Will contact my lawyer Monday to see if she can send another i765 to Vermont based on i360 with the receipt of i485. What should I do about this i765 i sent to Dallas?

Okay thank you for the clarification and I will suggest that as they sent back the check let's wait till they take an action on that 765 or you can attach the receipt notices for both the 360 and 485 along with your new ead application and send to Vermont with no fee. At least with that you've got options and all sides covered.

I didn't pay extra. Just a check. But the i485 money cannot cover EAD based on asylum as per my knowledge , that's why I sent them a check  payment. But hey returned it and they kept my application and telling me i don't have to do anything at this point, confused 😕😕😕

If you were told that you were fraudulent by the findings on your 130, keep calm and don't worry. USCIS will give you the chance to clear it up thru a waiver. Just patient and wait for it. With regards to your concurrent filing of your 360 & 485, I'll suggest you go ahead and obtain your ead from there as it will be the easiest to obtain with no fee ( because the fee submitted on your 485 covers ead c9 and subsequent renewals). I'll suggest you just hold off on anything with the asylum for now. An io without a humble heart will double down and poke holes in your file based on the number of petitions you've applied for in sequence.

I wish your 360,485(with fee or waiver),765 & 131 was all sent to Vermont. That gives you more streamlined process and ease.

Are you working with a lawyer or self?

Congrats on this moment, I can definitely imagine how joyous you feel, and may this joy and good news extend to everyone else still on the journey. But what do they mean address history not in line?

Thanks so much for the wishes and sharing this moment with everyone in this journey. From my understanding the address on my i-20 from school wasn't up to the duration stated when it changed to my abusers address when we both lived together, so his understanding was that I didn't complete school which I did way earlier just to go and get abused unfortunately. In my waiver I listed every address with explanation just to clarify and even added more upgrades to my education (online and in person classes) just for them to understand that I didn't stop but continued learning even thru my abuse and waiting all this while.

omg why NOID for address? I moved more than 30 times in past 5 years in US. On F1 i moved a lot and have different addresses. What was issue with your address?

Lol probably the io didn't like it, I've no idea. Everything will be fine as each case is different my dear. You'll surely be fine.

I'll suggest you attend the interview at the state you have been asked to and everything will sort itself out.
