    February filer here.

I have been thinking for the past few days trying to come with a theory as to why we haven't seen updated cases this week. The theory that they could be "training"  I doubt  it. It would be a very bad managerial decision to just summon every officer into training, while cases just pile up for April and May. The theory is this....I am sure there are USCIS employees that follow this forum. Maybe, just maybe they are blocking the script and its kicking back with the same updates? Idk, just a wild thought on a depressing week.

Not sure if your theory is correct , dont think any one from those office workers follow this and for sure they don't care , as other people that have no reason to be interested in this process, only people that are going through this or did, look in here . Reality is that they just do what aver they want and wherever they fill like it , yes there may be some thing going on like some priority's visas, that you may find out in few days if you do a lot of research. In my case - November . October  applications wore processed within about a month, than November big slow down it toke them 80 days to get to ours, and that was still lucky because some others may be still waiting . They are puling files from all kind of months and work on it randomly , there is no known pattern that you could follow . If you call, they will tel you that you are in time frame, that is about 5 months . Not much anyone can do just lot of patience. But when it start going it will go fest . Good luck all will come in due time , for now just enjoy waiting, and ,making plans for a future .

@Art786 thank you :) Yes, he leaves for Zimbabwe from South Africa on Sunday and arrives Monday.  Police Clearance is scheduled for Tuesday, medical on Wednesday, and we have had our file ready forever (April 8th).  He does his photos tomorrow so that he can finish up DS-160 and submit it.  Did you only get information via email?  I've only ever received USCIS through regular mail.  Should he be expecting mail in Zim? Is there anything else I'm missing?

Think every country may be different I am a sponsor and I receive conformation from embassy on my email , we have been waiting for regular mail instructions / notification from embassy to beneficiary , but it never come .Just a email .  Police rep. and medical may take up to two weeks to get back results . Not sure about what you are writing about him going from one place to another ? Funny think is that hospital in Taipei wanted a twenty pictures for med exam, it turnout that they stick a picture on every page that they are using to write results  . Need Police results from all places that he lived think for more than six months.

Help friends!  What does this mean?  ceac.state.gov status checker says case entered April 26th and case updated May 3rd READY.  @geowrian and anyone else with insight into this, what does this mean, what's next and what do I do? I know it means that it has reached Zimbabwe.  That part I understand.

Congratulations ! it means that all paper work reached embassy , beneficiary should fill out DS160 and schedule appointment. Hope you have already scheduled medical  and have a police report ,Follow all embassy instructions . In my case I receive email with instructions from embassy about 3 weeks after they receive visa application .

    HI Y'ALL!!

WISHING EVERYONE A GREAT BELLY OF THE WEEK!

Have a question: on ds-160 it has a question if fiance has been in USA...the answer is yes but 12 years ago and they stole hes visitors visa. He filed a police report and all. My question is here we dont have the issuing date of that visa! can we guess? or it has to be the exact date? and where can we get that info? HELP! PLEASE! :)

Head similar issue, her passport was stolen . (Not sure what you men visa stolen , passport stolen think you meant  ? ) Just say the truth , passport was stolen , reported stolen / missing, and replaced . And when it happened. Guessing should be fine within a year or so since it was so long ago. That's what we did and was no problem .

    Hey all!

For those who have filled out the i-134 and included an answer to the real estate question do you have to include proof someone of that real estate? If my co-sponsor put their real estate value (house) do they need to show proof of that? If so, what kind of proof is necessary? And will that need to be included in those additional questions on page 7 where you can explain stuff?

    Thanks in advance!

I just include value of assets and how much equity is there , you don't need to include any proof  , any way it will show up on  tax return,  that sponsor have assets , is good to have it when going for interview to embassy ( some banks showing property equity on statements ) , but chance is that they will not ask for it , most likely they will just look at recent tax return . But if sponsor don't have enough income to show it may be very important to have proof of assets with you . ( Just red your post again , think same would be applicable to sponsor ) Do some more research about it .

    Hi...

I am from india, i need to know recently i changed my job, now i am working in another company, so is it going to make difficult to give interview for K1 visa??

Please help me out from this...

HI . if you are beneficiary , your job dos not matter. It is a sponsors assets, income that are counted ,make sure sponsor can support beneficiary when in US. Income needed must be above poverty line in US . Don't matter how many jobs beneficiary has , total income from taxes is looked on .

    Hello everyone.

we are now preparing for the affidavit of support, now my question is on how to count the household size?

my fiance is living with his parents.

should we count them to so it woll be total of 4 including me the beneficiary?

    thank you in advance!

I would just exclude parents, he lives with them but have his own life and finances having his own apartment in their house.Of course if he has enough income to sponsor you ! If not, will need sponsor , than parents come handy , some country embassy's dos not accept sponsors . So find out about that. Make thing simple your case will go fester.

    Hello everybody,

My fiancé and I are just starting applying for the Fiancé visa and even if i'm excited, i'm so stressed out!

I would like some help to make sure I'm not forgetting anything on the first step. I have a file with all the steps for the first package. Does it look okay for you or did I forget something?

    1. Form I-129F: cover letter, declaration of how you met in person in the last two years, fiancé letter of Intent, proofs of having met in past two years
    2. Form G-325a: one passeport photo + copy or the Birth certificate
    3. G-1145

Thank you so much and good luck to everyone!

    Etapes visa fiancé.pdf

If you met online , include info about website that you met , make sure is free site or one that both of you paid same amount for it , It seams to be lots of RFE ( request for evidence ) because of that , need pictures about 7-8 no more than 12 , all forms needs original signature not photocopy . Copy of plane boarding passes, copy of sponsors entry stamps in passport (make sure passport number is visible, needs to bend page because on us passport that is not visible when you open it on entry stamps page. Not sure what G1145 is ? needs also your letter of intent ,his original signature on his and yours . Hotel receipt I have both names on it with hotel clerk signature on it to her and mine signature also  .   Look on YouTube lot of videos about what you may need ,Very helpful!!  . Any personal love story is not necessary it  just makes it look unprofessional . I wrote " We met on free  Skout dating site and I visit her few months ago and stayed in every day contact since than " And that did it ! Don't forget to send proper fee and sign all forms . With G form need I think 2 pictures sign on back in pencil + date of birth put in plastic bag and attach to form . Check everything for few days over and over again before sending it .  Good luck. You will be together in 6 months or so . Lot of patience !

Finally, after 122 days, we are approved!!! We are so happy!!!!!

Now, as the beneficiary, I should only worry about having all the vaccines required, the medical exam and the criminal record in hands, right? And my fiance, the affidavit of support, right? Am I missing something here? And finally the interview... I can't wait for it!

Yes, they will send your paper work to NVC , NVC will send it to your embassy .With out any delays it should take little more than two weeks ,you should see your status ready in your embassy in about 3 weeks . All notifications are coming with 2-3 weeks delay.but you can find out about your status on line.   ( from our experience)

Thank you very much! Probably the most difficult thing that either of us have ever been through. The most worthwhile as well!! Next up getting the police clearances from the Philippines and Singapore then all of the rest. I I know that Malen will breeze through the interview because we have been practicing. At first she thought my job was making coffee and selling it at my work. That's because I'm always the first one in and I make the coffee every morning while she is going to sleep and we are talking while I do it. 😂 She knows that it is only my morning routine now. I thought it was pretty cute though.

Happy for you . My finance also from Philippines but working in Taiwan . those police reports may take a while if she have to get it from other country's ,best to ask friend or family member to get it and send back to wherever she is .Also fairest I remember need to send some document ,don't remember now what, because just like that some places will not do police report with out showing them reason for it .  Sure she will do great on interview, My was so afraid of it , but it turn out that she went trough very smooth. She receive visa in passport in there days .

Thanks!  We mainly wanted to submit it just to have it done.  We have the police report and will be calling tomorrow to hopefully schedule the medical.  I feel like we are finally getting to the light at the end of the tunnel but there is still so much to do and organize before we get there! haha.  Thanks you for the advice!

If you find out that your case is in the embassy , just try to schedule appointment .It will say ready, but may not receive any other notification for a while  Our email from embassy come to me, beneficiary, after about three weeks from time they receive our paper work , But every country is bit different .

Hi everyone, I must have checked at least five times today. Then at the end of the day at 3:45pm Hawaii time I got a text message that said our case was updated but it didn't say to what status. I logged into the USCIS E-online website to see that our case was APPROVED!!! Malen and I are so happy!! After 122 days of waiting our dreams are coming true! Can I call the NVS tomorrow?? 😂 just kidding. No not really! Lol. We are so thankful for everyone's support and wish that you all get approved as soon as possible!

    God Bless, Jon & Malen

Congratulations, that was a quite a wait , but all worth by the end . :)

Good morning all.  I have a question I am hoping someone can answer that has been through this.  We received our London case number this morning from the NVC (yay!).  Do we need to wait until the case gets to London to submit our DS-160 or can we go ahead and submit it now?  I know we can not schedule the interview until it reaches London and says ready but was hoping we could go ahead and get the DS-160 taken care of.  Any advice is greatly appreciated!

If you really want to do it ,don't see why not,  but it takes only few minutes . Right now or later dos not makes any difference ,you will not save any time by doing it now . If you want to save time try to get police report and medical done , some places takes long time to do so . Good luck , all will come together very sun .

    I have a question regarding packet 4.

Its been 3 weeks since the case is in ready state and yet no packet 4.

Is it mandatory for the interview? Anybody has similar experience for New delhi, India?

i have my medical done and interview scheduled, but packet 4 is still not received. Would it be ok giving interview without that?

I've read that packet 4 is just a set of instructions.

Thanks for the help and some answers :)

     @AkesAngel  @geowrian @Art786 any idea? @burhan_rethinker

HI . we never got any packet 4 ,if embassy says that case is ready ,you are all set , go to interview, assuming that you have all necessary paper work  done and all what they ask you for, like police report, medical .( Possibly packet 4 is a sealed envelope that you will receive with your visa approved passport  .) Any way last think we receive was packet 3 that was from embassy with instructions , now visa in hand with sealed envelope to present  when entering US. Not sure if that helps .

Yeah, with my embassy they schedule for you.  My concern is I spoke to them last week and they have a couple of places left in April, and then none until June ;/  So will only have a day or two to book flights to get to the embassy once it's scheduled if I make April... and our post here only comes 3 days a week.  I will call them later today to check i think (as today is Friday here).  To make it worse there are only 4 working days here next week because of national holidays.

Good luck . In Taiwan they show available dates to choose , it toke 2 weeks for first available one , and it was only 1,5 H ride by train. You better book a hotel to so you could rest before you go for interview .

Yes, my question:  Does this status chance when the appointment has been scheduled

Oh , not sure , never checked ours , but dos it matter, You will get your conformation on line when you schedule it.After embassy get your petition they will post it as ready ,than you can schedule and pay for appointment. Sorry could not be much help but that how we did it .
