Just sharing my experience here. My I-751 was pending when they scheduled my interview. The first thing I mentioned to the IO when I walked into the room was that my spouse is with me waiting in the car outside if you want to interview him. IO said they don't have my I-751 and decided to do a combo interview anyways. Bring updated bonafide marriage evidence with you. I kept my I-751 slim. Maximum of 7 pages mortgage, deed, airplane tickets, car insurance and photos. I-751 and N400 was approved on the spot.
Couple weeks after interview the I-751 got knocked lose and status changed "transferred to new office". Couple days after that I get a call from an officer saying congratulations my oath ceremony is now scheduled.
Stay hopeful and your time will come.

Do they keep your naturalization certificate when applying for a passport?

Just received a phone call from a very friendly USCIS officer saying my oath ceremony was scheduled for this Friday and they don't have time to mail the letter. But it's uploaded on my online account. That was very nice of them.

No, it is a different document.
How did your spouse become a US citizen?
1) At birth - then bring spouse's US birth certificate
2) Automatically acquired citizenship as a minor - certificate of citizenship
3) Filed for N-400 and naturalized - naturalization certificate.
In addition to one of the three documents above, bring spouse's US passport of course.
He was born in the U.S. no birth certificate only passport. How does one get a copy of birth certificate?

Maybe a stupid question but in the interview letter it says to bring my spouses certificate of citizenship. Is that same thing as the U.S. Passport?

My I-751 still says Fingerprints Taken. Planning on my file not to be there so a little more wait after the interview I guess.

Yes it was a combo, but without me lol. I was not allowed in the building. I was going to wait to post until we got status but folks wanna know (can't blame them). Let me get the wife calmed down she's absolutely stoked and wired and I can't get a complete sentence out of her yet. I'll post again once she comes back down to earth. She did pass and got recommended for approval though both I-751 and the N-400!
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

@Sarge2155 How did it go today? Did you have a combo interview?

Feeling a little bit disappointed. Other people in my FO applied around the same date I did for N400 and they already have their interview scheduled.
I did my biometrics Febr 6th and it’s been “actively being reviewed” ever since.
I’m happy for other people, but really frustrated on my end.Hang in there buddy. Hope you get good news soon.

You uploaded it in the unsolicited document section right?
Yup I did.

Most people if they do submit a request for combo interview upload it with their N400 application. That's what we did too. I guess it could not hurt to mail it too. Just seems a bit unnecessary since you already submitted one. It's your choice of course.
I didn't know about the option to submit a request for a combo interview until I learned about it here. So I submitted it 2 months after submitting the N400 application. I guess I'm worried they may have missed the request.

I have uploaded a letter online but I also want to send a physical letter to my field office.

What do you guys think of writing your field office a letter requesting to have a combo interview? Too much?

Just asking all you guys: did you update the evidence monthly on your N400? I’ve been doing that, but now I’m afraid that this might reset the clock. Otherwise I don’t understand why I’m the only one from Columbus not scheduled yet.
I added a letter requesting a combo interview and uploaded last year's taxes not too long ago. Still got an interview date.

Wife did biometrics for I-751 in April 2019. I don't recall ever seeing "Fingerprints Taken". However, wife received a notice that I-751 biometrics were reused the same day she filed the N-400. I-751 status never changed from "Case is Ready....." until after the N-400 combo.
Thank you. That gives me a bit of hope for a combo interview.

We had a combo interview, but we never got a "Case was Transferred" status. Status was "Case is Ready to be scheduled for an interview" from May 2019 until after our combo interview.
Ok. So your I-751 never changed status from Fingerprints taken or fingerprints reused? While having your N-400 interview scheduled?

I have yet to see a case ( correct me if I'm wrong ) were they had a combo interview without their I-751 saying "Case transferred to another jurisdiction" before the interview.
Anyone seen this?

By requested U meant u uploaded a letter in the documents to inform them that u had a i751 pending? Yeah, i uploaded that self written letter too. Lets see if that helps us.
Yes that's correct.

Where do you guys see these timelines?

Thats what I am thinking how to make sure that officer takes combo interview. My interview is 17th may. I dont want that officer again keeps our case(n400) pending because the i 751 is pending. That would ve emotionally devastating.
My worries too. I have requested a combo interview. So fingers crossed.

Ugh don’t get me wrong, I’m sure you understand the feeling, I’m happy for those of you that are getting your N400 interviews scheduled, but why not me?! I want mine too!
Check your case status. That's how I found out. No notification. I logged into my account and downloaded the Interview letter.
