I think I know why my text notifications are delayed.

I certainly did include my G1145. However, instead of placing it on top of the package, I attached it on the i-751.

Here is the order of my package

    Cover

    Cover letter

    Form G1145

    Form I751

I should have placed form G1145 on top. Who knows now when they'll get to it.

Not sure how they work but I made sure to put it this way. I read somewhere they want the money FIRST. lol

    G-1450  for credit card charge

    G-1145 for notifications

    I-751 form

then all other stuff for proof

Well, I have my bank notifications set up to go off for any charge greater than $200, so... It's just that I had a bad experience with my AOS. In Spanish we have a saying "El que se quema con leche, ve una vaca y llora" meaning "If you burn with milk, you cry even when you see a cow from afar", meaning once you have a bad experience, you get anxious with anything remotely close.

Fingers crossed all goes well. Keep us updated.

People who came on K1 visas have to adjust status. Until Covid, that required an interview and biometrics. Because of that, ROC interviews and biometrics are usually waived for them.  When you come on  IR-1/CR=1, you don't have to adjust status, so there are no interviews or biometrics and those then have to be done during ROC.

    Thank you for clarifying 🙂

    Hi everyone,

Sitting here tripple checking everything before my interview this Friday (the 8th), and just wanted to ask others who recently had their interview. Im confused by the somewhat "conflicting" information regarding what to bring to the interview.. In the interview confirmation email they are just asking for my passport, one photograph, birth/marriage cert, police cert, evidence of support and ongoing relationship, and the waybill. But on the travel state gov website the checklist has a few more points such as the DS-160 confirmation page, a copy of the interview letter (email I'm assuming?) two photographs etc. Then Im also thinking that I need to bring the signed copies of the I-130 form etc.

Im obv thinking I will bring more evidence than perhaps necessary, but it would also be nice to hear what they actually have asked for to perhaps ease my mind a bit haha 😬

I didn't have to show the Ds-160 but bring all the necessary documents listed. Better be safe than sorry.

Also don't put the documents in sleeves. its so time consuming. They are gonna request the docs and its pretty quick pased. It didn't take more than 10 min for me.  They do this all day long and its like being on an assembly line. lol

When I say Jan-Mar I do mean 2021, not 2020. That would be 12.5 - 14.5 months which I thought was the norm for the most part. 18 months is longer than I anticipated though. Is there anyways she could apply for an F-1 while the green card is being processed, or is the fact that F-1 is non-immigration visa she would be denied?

What visa class are you applying for? If you are already married she can visit you under ESTA,  she would be exempt under the presidential proclamation of the novel Coronavirus.

I don’t think your should file F1 just to speed things up. More headache and paperwork later.

    Hey everyone,

My wife is Swedish, I'm from the US. I had a question on how long you think Covid-19 might delay processing time? We applied in November, and was hoping to move to the US around Jan-Mar, but my job offer post-graduation has now been rescinded and I will most likely have to return to the states in August upon completion of my MBA. If February were to be ~14 months, should we expect 3 months of additional waiting time? Any other ways for us to move together considering we could be looking at 8 months of being apart? 😕

It took us 18 months to receive visa in hand, one day before they closed the embassy due to COVID-19.

As USCIS and NVC are currently staffed to bare minimum I’d say be more patient.

Could anyone help me in giving me advice on where to go to access Vaccination certificates and/or get them in English? Thanks so much.

I brought my yellow book from vårdcentralen. It’s not in English and was fine. I did get a tetanus shot at the clinic after my medical exam. Cost of 300SEK

Does the Police Certificate In Sweden that the NVC accepts is that the one that's available in 5 languages? Because the only other options for "Translation Aids" is for other European Countries within the EU only. But the original Police certificate is in 5 languages one is English but there are others and I know how much USCIS and NVC hate anything that's not in English. Have other people found this police certificate accepted? Is this the correct one? Is there another one I should have gotten? Thanks so much.

That’s the same certificate we submitted to NVC and it got accepted.
