J & T got a reaction from Nouchigang in AOS interview
I just wanted to provide an update to everyone.

On October 22, I contacted my congressmen regarding the subject of the email. He explained that he didn't think twice about it because he has seen it much; it's a phrase used as a "catch-all" when further investigation is needed. He advised not to worry until it's time to worry.

On October 25 at 7:25 am, my doorbell rang. I opened the door to a gentleman and young lady from the USCIS. They were polite and friendly. But the questions started as soon as they entered. First, my name, and if I could get my license. Do I have any children (I'm expecting)? Does my husband have any children? Where do I work? I asked if I should get my husband. They said, "oh, is he here?"

I went upstairs to wake him and to check a few emails from work. Thankfully, I worked from home that day and my husband was off. He went downstairs alone and was asked a few questions. When I returned downstairs the gentleman asked if we could go upstairs. We all stood in each room briefly; they looked around, no photos were taken, and they didn't go through our things. He actually made a joke that he takes up the majority of the closet space in his home.

I asked him what would be the next steps. He advised, he would complete the report on Friday (tomorrow) and our case would go back in the queue. I asked if everything was okay? He said everything is fine. If we didn't hear anything within six months to make an info pass appointment. The home visit was a total of 20 minutes.

Once they left I asked my husband what did they ask him. He said, his name, when did he enter the country, and if he knew his social. They asked for his ID and social security card. Where was he formerly employed? Where was the job located? Does he have children? Does he have a preference on the sex of the baby?

As mentioned in your response and based on the questions, it seems as if his name may have been similar to someone else. This home visit was very relaxed, too relaxed..

However, I'm happy to report, I checked our case status today and he was approved!!!!🎉

July 2017 filer here. We used the old I-485, we already had it filled out prior to them changing it around June 26. The USCIS states the old edition (1/17/17) can be used until 08/25/2017, so we went ahead and decided not to fill out the new edition. Good luck everyone!!!
