Well, good news is coming for you. Many people are getting visas from Malaysia these days. My cousin and four other friends got their case updated on August 15 and two more then they sent them in emails to send their passports.

I don't know if this is new to anyone.  This is auto reply I got from the embassy that my husband's case is at.
    Presidential Proclamation 9645
On December 8, 2017, the Departments of State and Homeland Security began implementing travel restrictions for nationals of Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen under Presidential Proclamation 9645 (PP 9645).  Waivers are available, but the process has proven to be quite lengthy. Recently, however, the Department of State began implementing a procedure for PP 9645 cases that includes enhanced automated front-end (pre-interview) screening to determine whether any additional review is required related to determine whether the applicant has satisfied the national security and public safety waiver criterion. This new automated system, which is now fully operational, should significantly increase the speed and efficiency of the vetting process for both current and future waiver cases while maintaining all security standards. Due to the large quantity of PP 9645-related cases that U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur must adjudicate, we ask your patience as we work to effectuate the changes, and ask that you please refrain from emailing the U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur Consular Section with general questions related to this directive.  If a waiver is granted in your case, we will notify you immediately; there is no need for you to inquire about your status.

I was thinking the same thing. My last update was April 25 and I emailed an inquiry at the beginning of the month and no reply or updates.

I’m glad a thread was created for travel ban cases. I am currently waiting for an interview for my spouse in Malaysia. I haven’t heard any new news for cases interviewed after the ban was ruled. If anything is new, I will be updating this thread.

My wife had her interview on sept 18 2017. It wasn't until aug 1, 2018 that they sent me an email for waiver reconsideration. Today I recieved an email saying waiver was approved and they needed my wife's passport for her visa.

Your given a paper with 7 questions to answer and send back to the embasssy. The wavier application is sent to DC for decision.People are told it can take 6-8 months.

Regarding the people with approvals before the Ban was reinstated. We are waiting for our lawsuit to be processed through out the courts and do our medicals. We should be hearing something in the next couple of weeks.

Hello everyone, I would like to make this thread as a support group to those impacted by the Travel Ban issued by Trump. PLEASE, if you are not in this category, no need to comment here because we do not need any negative energy! A lot of us are US citizens who cannot even bring our spouses! We do not need to be lectured about how good such a ban can be!

If you are affected by this ban, feel free to ask anything!

I have not updated this thread in a while now, but there are some good signs.

    1) I have personally now seen 2 B1/B2, 2 K1, and 2 IR1 visas stamped from banned countries.
    2) There have been a total of 1000 waivers approved : https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/presidential-proclamation-archive/june_26_supreme_court_decision_on_presidential_proclamation9645.html. At current rate, they are approving about 200 waivers a month.
    3) For those of you who got approved prior to the ban but didnt get the visas' printed, there was a court case that is requiring the DOS to issue these visas. There have been dozens of mostly Yemeni folks who got their visas this way.

Good luck, please dont forget to update the thread as to what happened. One of my biggest frustrations is how little information we share - there are thousands of us but so few actually post their updates - we know for a fact there are 800 waivers and there are numerous people who have gotten visas printed after waivers, but there is absolutely no way to know the circumstances under which those waivers were approved.

Now that the Supreme court has, as expected, ruled that the Travel ban is legal, I am trying to figure out what avenues are left for those stuck in this mess.

I am aware of at least 1 court case that might bring some relief,
    https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/23929206/Emami_v_Nielsen_et_al

I have access to pacer and have read through all the documents of this case. Basically the plantiffs are arguing that the defendants are not adhering to the waiver provisions. The parties have agreed to a case management conference date of July 25th. Hopefully we will hear something.

There is another case here : https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/24314855/Alharbi_et_al_v_Miller_et_al
For some reason, my pacer account does not have access to read the documents of this one, but from the synopsis the court has asked to release the visas by July 9th

Are there any other court cases that folks here have knowledge about?
