  1. Thanks
    aeroth88 got a reaction from TimonLovesSkylour in I-134 (Affidavit of support) #26 & #38???
"I have submitted a visa petition(s) to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on behalf of the following persons. (If none, write “None” in the space for name below.)"

Are we supposed to write the name of the beneficiary of this AOS or is that a given, and they're asking about petitions filed on behalf of someone else?

And for #38, I don't even know. Aren't we technically going to be paying for the beneficiary until he/she gets a job??

    Bureaucracy  : /

    Thanks in advance

My fiance,  David, got approved for his visa Wednesday! I want to thank everyone here SO MUCH for all your help, and the VJ admins/mods. I could not have done this process without you. We've been waiting three years to be together and I'm over the moon with happiness. We're hoping he can be here in October!

Well my bank account info is going to be on the required statement of balance and deposits so that's covered. I'll make a copy of my driver's license. Good idea!

LOL that's basically what I said a couple pages earlier, but simply something along the lines of "maybe some petitions are easier to go through than others, and there are a lot of people working on them, they don't all work at the same speed"

Obviously I sympathize with people still waiting in agony!!! But I think there is at least a bit of method to the madness.

Thank you so much for your help!!! So you recommend getting the visa application out of the way and then having the interview scheduled.

Based on what I have read, the plan is for him to make the interview appointment, then subsequently the medical exam appointment. He would travel to Montreal, have the medical exam, hang out in a hotel for a few days while it is processed and the results received by the consulate where he then goes on an interview. Has to be all at the same time because he's traveling from NB. Does that sound about right?

Maybe some petitions are easier to go through than others? They probably have many people going through the petitions, they all don't work at the same speed, I'm sure. Hang tight!

I had no idea there were these scan things. Holy cow. I was going by the SLOW ### USCIS website which says they're processing petitions from May 1 so I had anticipated a much longer wait.

Does the four month expiration date mean that he has to have at least done the visa application by then? We need more time to save for the rest of the process!

I got my approval notice yesterday, which was a HUGE surprise because the USCIS website says they are processing I-129Fs dated May 1, and they received mine mid-June.

The expiration date of the notice is April 14, 2018. This only poses a problem because of finances, as we had anticipated at least 2-3 more months to save before getting the approval based on the website. Does the expiration date mean that he has to at least have submitted the visa application? Or does he also need to have an interview scheduled by then, too?

    Also! Re: I-134 - when/where do I send this...?

    Thank you!
